Having suffered poor care for my mother at a previous care home, I made the decision to relocate her to KYN Bickley.
This was definitely the best decision we could have made. The care home itself is like a luxury London hotel but with a homely feel. The service from every member of staff has been exceptional - nothing is too much to ask for.

My mother is unable to speak due to her stroke, but the carers in a short space of time have learnt what she likes, doesn’t like and what she may be asking for. She truly now gets personalised care and is enjoying her life again.

The staff were exceedingly polite and welcoming. They engaged with my aunt throughout our visit and were very attentive to her needs. Really impressed with the outreach program and community involvement. Kyn seems to be keeping abreast with the latest research in dementia care.

Charges are high-end. Our experience was things looked good on the outside but we tested them with both my parents and they were found to be woefully inexperienced. We were advised that management would learn from any mishandling.

My mother has been a resident of Kyn Bickley for the last month or so. Ever since her arrival she has been looked after with the best of care by the nursing/care team. They have been very attentive and proactive in dealing with my mothers medical needs. She could not be in better, or kinder, hands.
As someone who has always enjoyed her food, my mother has been most impressed with the quality of the cooking at Kyn. Mealtimes are a real highlight of her day.
The accommodation and gardens of the home are simply the best we have ever encountered and they are a source of great comfort to my mother.
Dealing with the management team at what has been a very difficult time for my mother and our family has always been very professional and efficient. They are a pleasure to deal with.

We wish Kyn every success.

Thank you very much for your kind words. It is lovely to hear of the positive impact the team at KYN BICKLEY are having on your mother.

I'm delighted to read that mealtimes are the highlight of her day. Our head chef and his team work hard to create nourishing, flavourful meals that our residents can genuinely look forward to. They will be thrilled to know their dishes are so well received.

My husband and I are so delighted with KYN BICKLEY. You read such horror stories about care homes in the newspapers but you don't have to worry here!
When you are tasked with the enormous responsibility of finding your beloved relative, expert help and care, it is a steep learning curve and worry. However, I can honestly say that the team at KYN have supported both my mother-in-law and us extremely well.
She started as respite care in March after a fall, but at her wonderful birthday tea, which KYN put on, especially for her, she announced to us that she wanted to stay at KYN as a resident.

She appreciates the wonderful food and activities each day and the care and compassion she is shown by all the staff. Now, when I go to sleep at night, I know she is being well looked after, in this kind and beautiful place. I wish I could live here!

Overall Experience
My mother is the second resident at KYN and although she has only been there a short while the care, love and attention she has received as been wonderful.
We chose KYN because of its amazing caring ethos and holistic and individual approach to residents and not making them fit into 'a label' and so far it has not disappointed.
I can not praise the management team enough for their support and desire to get things right for Mum. After coming from another home where this, unfortunately, was not the case, it is truly comforting to experience this and gives me confidence for the future.
The carers are kind and patient and are learning Mum's ways so that she can feel at home as quickly as possible, giving her attention when needed and helping her feel safe.
It is lovely to see how all areas of staff from catering, hospitality, activities and household are so passionate in their work and have a desire to get to know the residents individually.

So far Excellent

KYN where do I start - from the moment you walk in the door, you are met by professional and helpful members of a fantastic group of staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The lovely staff member introduced us to KYN in mid-December and explained in great detail and so professionally with passion all the reasons why our mother should make KYN her home. Our Mum was the first resident, so has been treated like a queen. It is a five-star hotel with care. The care is wonderful, and when two members of staff visited Mum before her admission, we knew that our worries were over; they flag up any concerns immediately. The care team are an excellent set of girls who are so polite, caring and professional and are a credit to team KYN. The food is absolutely delicious, and Mum loves it! Thank you, chef and team. Our mother has completely turned around, and she is well and happy. What more could you wish for? Thank you, KYN.
