I came to KYN for respite care after surgery with complications. We had visited a number of establishments prior to the surgery and were welcomed by KYN and shown all areas of the building and met the staff. We were so pleased we chose KYN though there was no competition really! Its location was perfect for London so friends and family could visit easily. The building, rooms, facilities and garden were all lovely. I loved my room and was encouraged to bring my own pieces - I had a lot of flowers! The nursing staff, my physiotherapist, and the care staff were all exemplary. I'd had a tough time in surgery and they all helped to make me feel human again! My visitors were all welcomed, we had fun, (had a family movie night in the fabulous private screening room,) and it felt like a holiday as much as a rehabilitation! Thank you KYN! I know where I'm coming if I ever need special care again, as do all my visitors now!

As much as possible, this feels like a home away from home with a team that really care.

My parents settled into KYN quickly, helped by the excellent team. All the Management and staff have been excellent, friendly and professional at all times.

My parents enjoy the facilities, care and food as do we when we visit.

We are happy knowing they are well cared for and safe at KYN.

Activities at home are varied and appeal to lots of tastes

- Superb building, comfortable room and amazing garden setting, with well adapted bathrooms and hospital style bed (although well disguised)

This is a premium service, and duly comes with a premium price tag. But when you need the highest level of care, it is worth every penny, and I would recommend to anyone.

KYN Hurlingham and the excellent team there provided exceptional, restorative respite care for my father to recover from brain surgery. Before leaving hospital we were extremely concerned about him returning directly home because he needed specialist help navigating stairs, restoring mobility, monitoring the surgical wound and medication, recovering from major surgery, regaining strength, building healthy appetite and starting a rehabilitative physio program while compensating for anticipated balance and dizziness challenges arising from this surgery. During his short stay, my father made tremendous progress with his recovery thanks to the genuinely caring, attentive, kind and motivating staff as well as the nourishing, uplifting environment. As a family we were warmly welcomed and the team made special efforts to attend to my father's needs and wishes. All team members were remarkable for their warmth, professionalism, expertise and commitment to ensuring the best possible experience.

The exceptional management went above and beyond to help a difficult transition from another care home in a few days for my elderly friend. They pulled out all the stops over the weekend too. I am impressed by their professionalism, knowledge and compassion. They supported me all the way to navigate roadblocks put in my way but the former home. Thank you. Today I enjoyed some of the professional entertainment provided for the residents. It was excellent. Staff are courteous and helpful. My friend's room is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. She has only been there for two days but what a contrast to where she was. You might find yourself paying half as much again but for a 10 times better service. Thank you to Suzanne, Emma, Charles, Daisy and Rosario amongst others. You are top class

KYN provided us with an absolutely outstanding experience from our first interaction which set the standard that KYN maintained 24/7. The facilities are beautiful, thoughtfully decorated and furnished giving a feeling of luxury with all the practical details. The catering attended to every need, with a varied quality choice of options. The real accolade must go to the staff, whether it be the catering, care staff, nursing staff or physiotherapist, all were positive, friendly and willing to go above and beyond, learning very quickly particular preferences/routines and looking to anticipate needs. The physiotherapist provided tailored support finding the right balance to progress with recovery and explaining the healing process in a pragmatic and easy to understand way. Even the messy administrative parts such as changing GP clinic, obtaining medical devices etc were seamlessly managed by the staff of KYN such that the only thing for residents to do is to rest, recover and enjoy.

Mum stayed at KYN for respite after an operation. The quality of care and the quality of food is outstanding. Mum made a brilliant recovery due to this and was very happy and comfortable during her stay. The staff are always attentive and make you feel welcome to be there. There are many activities to take part take in if you so wish all of which add to wellbeing and daily enjoyment. She could not find fault in standards at KYN and would definitely stay again if needed.

Kyn Bickley exists as much for friends and family as it does for the residents. I had to find a home for a friend (now deceased) whose house sale was complicated, but Kyn Bickley was happy to accommodate her. In the ensuing seven months, my friend's care was not compromised in any way, nor was there pressure about outstanding rent. This trust in me at a stressful time, and the kind treatment we received meant more than I can adequately express. On my visits with my friend (who could be difficult and demanding) I found Kyn Bickley's beautiful décor and surroundings calming and restful. I could always find a quiet corner to 'recoup' with a cup of coffee. My friend's bedroom was always replete with evidence of crafts and activities in which she had participated, often with more enjoyment than to which she would admit. But what mattered the most was that staff, nurses and carers made supreme efforts to understand her as she was. I knew she was loved, and so did she! Thank you Kyn Bickley.

She loves going to the restaurant for her meals and attends a lot of the excercise class activities, as well as enjoying the varied entertainment by the many artists that attend regularly.

My Mother in Law has been at KYN since October 2023, we have seen the home grow into beautiful care home. I emphasise the word care home, as its truly a beautiful place filled with people who make it feel like a home. My mother in law has a friend who has a room next door to her and they are like best friends who have known one another for years. Although they both have dementia they know one another and have a friendship both families are grateful for. We spent many years deciding about a home and when KYN opened to this day we have no regrets, her care is amazing and they sense when something is wrong and always act so quickly so no issues escalate.We all as a family are delighted with KYN and would be delighted to recommend it to anyone. My wife came to KYN on 19th January from hospital, very frail and on palliative care. Her admission procedure and standard of care whilst here has been first class. Excellent nursing care to make sure she was receiving enough medication and regular repositioning to prevent pressure sores. The staff at all levels have been extremely caring, friendly and efficient. I have been truly impressed throughout.

My aunt moved into Kyn Bickley about a year ago. I live abroad, and she has no family in the UK. We were very impressed by Kyn, it is as stunning in real life as it is in the photos. But we were worried as she moved in - would it feel like home? Would they actually care about her? Would she meet people and form friendships? The answer was a resounding yes. She was busy socialising from day one. The medical and nursing care has been excellent. Now she is a bit more bed based, but still very comfortable and happy. We are very happy.

I don't think I could leave her in better, safer hands.

I spent only a few days at KYN Hurlington but I was welcomed and immediately made to feel at home by staff and residents alike. The members of staff I met were friendly, kind and caring, and from what I saw they discreetly watched over the residents, stepping in to help if required or with suggestions to make them more comfortable. The beautifully restored building, including many original features, together with carefully created decorations and furnishings, created a calm and peaceful atmosphere throughout. My room was bright, quiet and extremely comfortable. A home from home if care required.

My 91 year old Mum has been at KYN for 1.5 years now, she moved into care because, living with her dementia, she was finding it difficult to cope mentally and physically in her home environment. Although reluctant at first, with the support and kindness from the KYN staff, she has settled well and enjoying spending time with her new friends and taking part in all the activities and entertainment on offer. She also regularly sees family and friends and is able to go out for adventures whenever the opportunity comes up. My 93 year old Dad, who has multiple health challenges, has also now moved into KYN, the nursing staff have been amazing and his conditions have stabilised with their care and medical support. Both Mum and Dad love the staff, everyone in the team at KYN is respectful, patient and kind. They also know how to communicate in a gentle and fun way so my parents feel supported with dignity!

I think the staff are excellent, caring and kind. they listen to you and you can freely express your thoughts and needs.

My mother came to KYN Hurlingham for two weeks of respite care following major spinal reconstruction surgery. This was an incredibly stressful and emotional time for both of us. As her daughter, I felt the enormous weight of responsibility to find somewhere she would be not only safe, but truly cared for with dignity, compassion, and warmth. KYN exceeded all expectations, and I wouldn't place her anywhere else.

From the moment she arrived, the standard of care was exceptional. The nurses, carers, and physiotherapist showed unwavering professionalism and genuine kindness. They took time to understand my mum's needs and to make her feel comfortable, seen, and respected.

Mum is now continuing to recover at home, but KYN put her in the best place mentally and physically to be able to continue this. Thank you so much to everyone that looked after my mum. You are all such wonderful people.

I am so grateful to KYN for the dedication, care, kindness and love they showed my mother, and how they have supported me. They have genuinely become part of our family and I am forever grateful to them for everything they have done for us.
