View Full Details of Little Heath Care & SupportMy wife was in the care of Little Heath for 3 years during which her care and treatment was exceptional. There were no aspects of her treatment, care and well being could be criticized.
After looking at a lot of care homes little Heath and Deershurst were the only 2 we would have let our mum go to. It is so clean and bright, with a lovely garden, which mum likes to walk around independently. Little Heath had a room available and was local to me. It was a big decision as mum had Alzheimer's, so not able to decide for herself. Krishna and all the staff were so welcoming, and helpful. Mum has now been in the home since May and the staff, Jemma and Tanya, in Fern, Jess and all the "Home makers", and the others, I don't know all names, are amazing. They are so thoughtful, caring, and kind to mum and us, the family. We can't thank them enough. They have taken the worry from us. she is so well cared for thank you to everyone. Xx
Mum is very well looked after. The staff are caring and thoughtful of mums needs. The home building team always try to involve mum in the activties which she enjoys. There coud be more variety at meal times. Sometimes the care home seems slughtly understaffed. Any issues are dealt with very promptly and professionally.
Very impressed with total package. Mum seems content, happy to take part in activities.
My auntie is in Bracken Unit at Little heath care home. She is well looked after and the staff are polite and so helpfull. The place/unit is spotless and so tidy. We looked around and instantly knew this was the place for our relative. We felt at home. Staff keeps us in the loop at all times. We as a family are so grateful and will help in any way to raise funds in any possible way. Thank you Bracken Unit Little Heath
My mother has been in this care home, her own choice of where she wanted to live, for the last 3.5 years and is very happy and well looked after on Bracken unit. The home is always clean and her visitors say how nice it is when they visit. Most of the staff are friendly and very caring and the individual rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and have a high standard of comfort. The food is mostly good, certainly there is a good variety of choices each day and the activities team are absolutely brilliant in making it an enjoyable and fun place to be for those who can attend anything they organise. All the activity team do their best to make sure all residents are invited and help them join in many things including bingo, music therapy, cinema viewings, cooking, decorating for events, trips out in the minibus and many more. If you ask my mum about how she feels about living there, she will say she is very happy.
Bracken Unit has been my elderly aunts home for almost a year now. As a family it is so reassuring to visit her knowing just how well she is cared for. Staff are always polite, helpful and cheerful, which can only make this a lovely place to live. The unit is always clean and tidy. We are always welcomed and have even held a birthday party for my aunt. Staff seems to make lots of effort to make this place feel like home!
After visiting many care homes, little heath was the only one I wanted my mum to go to. As soon as you walk through the doors, greeted by friendly staff and management who go's above and beyond in welcoming you through a difficult distressing time. Now 16 mths on nothing has changed. All staff throughout departments friendly professional in what job they do. The homemakers do a fantastic job entertaining residents daily doing various activities and go on outings. The home is clean, homely and fresh, the rooms are spacious (better than some hotels). The meals are adequate for the residents appetite, I sometimes get a taste of what's on the menu and pass on any compliments to the kitchen staff which I have on occasions. The outside garden wrap around building where residents and visiting families can walk, talk and sit take in the view and fresh air and quiet time. If any concerns (which I've had none thus far) I know management would deal with it straight away. I'm grateful & thankful
Mum is well looked after and treated with respect, always clean and she always seems hapy in herself. Her nursing needs are high because of her leg ulcers. I'm happy with the level of care she receives. All members of staff are very helpful, friendly and approachable.
My mother has been a resident since 3/2024. She is very happy and content. When she entered she was very frail and confused. Over the months the nurses, carers and staff have brought her back to a stable condition. She has put on weight, enjoyed outings, had great attention, loves the food. I cannot speak highly enough of her team and the nursing home in general.
My Father has been resident at Little Heath for over 3 years. The staff all look to make his stay as comfortable and interesting as possible. If there are any health concerns these are effectively dealt with obtaining professional medical opinion if required. There are so many options for involvement in activities that are stimulating and enjoyable for him. Staff know him so well they know which ones he loves. He is also included in days out to activities and visits to places of interest - all maintaining as 'normal' as possible a life for him. The team at Little Heath are constantly looking at ways of improving and this includes the recent addition of a pub serving non alcoholic drinks where it's great to enjoy a drink in a really relaxed pub like atmosphere.
mum has been living at Little Heath for little over 10 months. Your loved one moving into a care home can be a daunting prospect for any family. The transition to her new home couldn't have been made easier for all of us. All the staff are always respectful and caring. They took time to get to know mum as an individual, showing a genuine interest in her life and us as a family. We know we are welcome at any time to visit. They work hard to support her care needs and maintain her independence. The home is clean and well maintained. Mum was able to personalise her room which was perfect. The homemakers and staff enrich the lives of us all with their enthusiasm and creativity - from the Celebrate India afternoon of dancing music and traditional food to Aloha Hawaiian themed afternoon with singing and dancing to day trips and of course bingo and boccia. The home is well run and management approachable and visible - often seen joining in activities.
