A very prompt and welcoming response to an initial tour and application for my younger brother - quick assessment. Organised transport from hospital and welcoming engagement and care plan. Already showing signs of mobility and interaction with staff and other residents. Promising to be a very good
choice and late life experience for my brother.

My mother came into Ponbay care home at the beginning of February, I was anxious as I didn't think she would be happy to stay at the home, but from the moment Mum went through the front door all the staff from reception to management to the carers made Mum feel so special and welcome,
I've been
truly amazed as to how Mum has settled in and I believe this is down to the caring attitude of staff. Mum has taken parts in different activities that she wasn't doing at home and has enjoyed her meals sitting at a table again ,
The Home itself has been designed very well with many different areas to sit, it's beautiful and light inside with every aspect fought through to make everyone stay there comfortable,
I would like to give a special thank you to Gaylynne, Zach, Chloe, Shelley, Emma, Mandy, Natalie, these are just some of the wonderful staff who made Mum feel very welcome.
I look forward to many more visits and having memorable times with Mum again

My mother in law was admitted to Ponbay Care Home as an emergency over the Xmas period after breaking her shoulder/humerus. She was assessed urgently and welcomed into Ponbay the following day ie 24th December where she spent a very happy 8 weeks, whilst she was recovering sufficiently to go back
to her independent living.
I cannot thank the staff enough for the wonderful care and support she was given at such a difficult time in her and our lives. All the staff treated her with kindness, dignity and respect and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Care Home to others in need.

I immediately felt at home, all staff, whatever their role, were friendly, nothing too much trouble and went out of their way to give us all a pleasant experience. With various activities to keep us entertained. If I need more care in the future I will have no reservations in returning. I also liked
everything included in price, with no extra to pay.

Mum went into Ponbay Lodge after a fall at home and a subsequent hospital stay. the staff were very caring and attentive and encouraged Mum with building her confidence back up in readiness for returning home. She was treated as an individual and her dignity was at the forefront of her care. She
also enjoyed a few luxurious baths, which she has been unable to have for several years.

Everything that we have experienced at Ponbay Lodge so far has been wonderful. Gailynne at the front desk has been so kind and helpful with every enquiry we've made. Both Kim and Vicki in management came out to assess my mum the same afternoon to help get her care asap. Each carer I have met has
been so supportive and caring, not only to my mum but all of us as a family. All the staff at Ponbay Lodge are amazing.
The home itself is brand new and purposely built, everything is beautifully presented.
After having such a difficult decision to access care, we feel so happy mum is in an environment where we know she is treated with respect and is safe.

My mother had a very happy respite stay.
The staff have all been kind and caring. It's hard to give full review as the home is so new and only a handful of residents.
Mums only comment would be there weren't many activities as there weren't enough people yet. But there will be a full programme
available . We will definatly use the home for respite again in the future and possibly full time.
