I came for lunch with my mother and was super impressed. The place is like a posh hotel. The staff are really friendly and I witnessed real care and concern for other residents. Food is great quality. I cant wait to get a room for myself.

Since even before resident came to stay at Ponbay the staff have been exemplary. Clear communication and even visited all the way down to Dorset to assess and make sure everything was as it should be. The food is good and the whole place is clean, tidy and well kept with nice outdoor spaces and generally feels homely. Ponbay even take the residents out on day trips here and there which is amazing too. The staff genuinely care and are always attentive, caring and friendly. All in all it's a very difficult job done very well indeed by a great team.

I have nothing but praise for Ponbay & their amazing staff. The time and attention they provide is exceptional - they genuinely do care. When full time residential care was needed there was only one place we as a family, and my grandfather wanted to be - Ponbay. They have helped enormously with everything from advice about finances to making sure he is happy and comfortable. I'm particularly impressed with their range of enrichment activities and trips out. My grandfather can't wait to tell us what he has been up to. Ponbay is always spotless and the facilities are wonderful - hair salon, little shop and cinema room amongst other things. And the food is excellent - they welcome family to meals as well. But what makes Ponbay are the staff. They have got to know my grandfather very quickly and spend time with him. I am sure they are very busy but always take the time to give that valuable 1-2-1 attention. He tells me that Ponbay is his new home which couldn't be more wonderful to hear.

All the staff are amazing. My mum has become a different person since been here. It's like she has a new lease of life. She is going out on day trips joining in on activities, eating better and visiting family is always made welcome. Can't recommend Ponbay Lodge enough.

The food is good and fresh. The family are also offered tea, coffee and cakes, which are amazing. There is always something going on for the residents either at Ponbay or going for days out. We felt Dad (99) was safe and well cared for there and the ladies loved him!!. He sadly passed away in hospital after a short illness and we have missed all the staff as they also made us feel so welcome.

My mother in law was admitted to Ponbay Care Home as an emergency over the Xmas period after breaking her shoulder/humerus. She was assessed urgently and welcomed into Ponbay the following day ie 24th December where she spent a very happy 8 weeks, whilst she was recovering sufficiently to go back to her independent living.
I cannot thank the staff enough for the wonderful care and support she was given at such a difficult time in her and our lives. All the staff treated her with kindness, dignity and respect and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Care Home to others in need.
