View Full Details of Rosewood ManorWhen my mum was here at Rosewood Manor we found as a family that the home treated her as family and treated us all amazing especially my mum thank you all so much.
My mother is a resident on floor 2 me and my family have found the staff to be excellent. The care manager the senior carers. The hard working carers. Thanks also to the entertainment staff, house keeping, cooks and reception.
My father has been at Rosewood for over 4 years. The care that he receives, especially from the staff on the second floor is as he would say "second to none". I had genuine concerns about my dad going into a care home but we just couldn't manage his needs at home with us any longer. From the first day that my dad moved into Rosewood he has felt safe and secure. He did think at first that he was in a 5 star hotel (not a bad thought to be having!). All of the staff have always had his care at the heart of everything they do. The warmth, love and respect that he is shown is amazing. He does not like to join in with the activities (of which there are many) but he is always asked and encouraged to and is never ignored. I can't recommend Rosewood highly enough - it really is as lovely at the heart of it as it looks.
My brother has been a resident at Rosewood Manor for over 2 years. He has been well looked after. The staff are very good with him and know his needs well, and have a good relationship with him. The home is very clean and bed linen & towels are changed daily. Staff are always happy to discuss anything with you and to act on things. Entertainment is exceptional with varied activities every day. Outside singers, magicians, animals, etc, are brought in. Keep fit, yoga, knitting, art, bingo, etc. Park walks, coffee shops and undertaken. Meals are good and varied, with residents' requirements met where necessary. Hairdressing and manicures available.
5 Stars We really enjoyed visiting everyone at Rosewood. The care she receives is absolutely wonderful - they do everything they should and more. It's clear she's well looked after, and that means the world to us. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness and dedication. All around, it's a solid 5 stars from us
A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful staff at Rosewood. The care and friendship you show mean the world to me and my family. It's clear she's not just looked after, but truly cared for and loved - with compassion, patience, and respect. Every time we visit, we see the difference you make in her life, and it brings such comfort and joy to our family. Thank you for everything you do, and for being a part of her world. With sincere thanks, 5 shining stars
Our experience over the past two years has been excellent in all aspects. Rosewood is purpose built and so well thought out for the needs of residents and staff. The decor is exemplary and well maintained as are the gardens .All of the staff together with other residents are so welcoming, kind and supportive. The staff and visiting medical support teams carry out their professional duties with care and compassion keeping us informed and involved. I cannot think of a better place for loved ones to be well looked after. Thank you all so much for providing this amazing happy place.
Beautifully presented home with kind, hardworking care assistants, catering team and premises staff. If your loved one requires companionship and minimal support, I'm sure they would be extremely happy with the facilities and activities on offer. However, if they require reassurance and assistance with personal care, mobility, nutrition, etc., then this isn't the home for them. Residents on the Sandringham floor (dementia care) are frequently left unsupervised and confused, with no staff available to help and reassure them. The overstretched care assistants work extremely hard and are amazing, but understaffing and no support from senior management mean they are unable to meet the needs of all residents. A positive needs assessment isn't a guarantee that care needs can be met as resources and training are inadequate. Please do not be dazzled by the show home presentation of this home. Please think very carefully before considering Rosewood Manor for the care of your loved one.
My friend has been a resident at Rosewood Manor for just over a year now. I am not able myself to visit very often but when I do the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The home's cleanliness is immaculate and very welcoming. During the times I am unable to visit, I will telephone the home where the staff are polite and courteous and allow me to speak with my friend. I would recommend Rosewood Manor to all who are looking to find a care home for their loved ones where they know that they are safe and well cared for.
My mother has been resident at Rosewood Manor since February 2024, and has enjoyed every aspect of life at the home. Her room is comfortable and private, the facilities are excellent. The social care team organises lively and enriching activities every day of the week: my mum has enjoyed seated exercises, outdoor games, visits from local schoolkids, crafts, walks around the town, even an encounter with donkeys one day! The core carer team are all very friendly and empathetic, yet quietly professional and competent with their care tasks; some of these can be intimate and potentially embarrassing for Mum, but the team handle it all with great calm, forthrightness, and dignity. The nursing team are very impressive, actively monitoring the progress of symptoms both physical and mental, and take proactive action when an intervention is needed such as an adjustment to medications. I've seen them in calm times and while handling a crisis, and I've been impressed every time. Highly recommend!
My husband spent two periods in Rosewood Manor; three months for respite care and later, he was there for a year until he died. I was very glad he was able to return there. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Staff are very approachable and know the residents as individuals, always treating them with care and dignity. They have good links with the nearby doctor's surgery, which was very helpful. There is a full and varied programme of activities, organised by an activities team who encourage residents to participate. Visiting wasn’t limited and I spent most afternoons with my husband, which gave us precious time together. During his stay, the support that staff gave both of us, especially at the end of his life, was amazing. I couldn’t have gotten through such a difficult time without their help and I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and the care they gave to us both.
When looking at care homes this home stood out by far from the other homes in the local area we had viewed. From the initial enquiry till the very end of my grandmother passing everyone was very welcoming and extremely supportive to my family and I. Communication is great, staff go above and beyond and the manager and her team are brilliant and always make us feel welcomed and that we are no bother if we have any questions. I can't thank them all enough, they are all fabulous and will be forever grateful to them all.
I've visited my friend that recently moved into Rosewood Manor for some very much-needed respite care, I am in awe of the carers and how they go above and beyond to help. The food is amazing as well, what more could one want! I highly recommend Rosewood Manor.
My Father sadly passed away after living in Rosewood Manor for the last twenty months. He was very happy there, he loved the food and all the staff were incredibly kind to him. As a family, we visited regularly and were always very impressed and comforted to know he was in such a caring environment. He wasn't one for joining in activities, we did however witness lots of the residents doing a multitude of interesting things. During his final few weeks the staff were so compassionate and caring both to Dad and also to our family. I honestly don't know what we would have done without them. We will miss seeing them ourselves. I can't recommend it highly enough.
All the staff have nothing but my grateful thanks for looking after our dad for all the time he was a resident here. Dad was always treated with respect and dignity and especially so on the day he passed away.
The standard of care shown by the managers and staff at Rosewood during my mum's stay was excellent. From the initial assessment meeting, until her passing, they were friendly, professional and caring towards all her needs. They helped her join in the home's activities and get to know the other residents with whom she established good friendships. The family are pleased that we chose Rosewood for our mum's final days, thank you.
It is hard to express just how grateful we are to the staff at Rosewood on all levels for the dignity and care provided to our dear mum until her passing at the end of October. While the food, room, facilities and entertainment are all excellent, it is the genuine interest in the well-being of the residents that stands out. It is very comforting to know that throughout mum's stay, she was in the best of hands and well taken care of. As others have stated, a simple thank you does not seem enough. It is a wonderful care home with lovely staff and as a family, we cannot recommend the home highly enough.
Visited a family member the other day and was greeted with a warm welcome by the manager, very friendly and approachable. Any question I asked the manager regarding my relative's health was answered straight away and seemed very knowledgeable and helped settle any worry myself and family had. I walked away that afternoon feeling time was taken to get to know my relative, which is also very nice to see from staff and management.
My mother came to Rosewood Manor as she could no longer cope on her own. The building is newly renovated and designed to a very high standard. The rooms are spacious and the communal areas are lovely. The staff were all very kind and the food was excellent. I could not recommend it highly enough. Sadly my mother passed away but the staff dealt with the situation very sensitively. Thank you, Rosewood team for being so kind to my mother in her final days.
Rosewood is a very new and modern care home. The rooms are very nice and the housekeeping is good. The food is satisfactory all be it a little repetitive. The care given is generally of a good standard although as with most care homes they would benefit from a few more members of staff at times. Overall the staff are very friendly and are dedicated some more than others. The overall care given to my father was good with a good rapport and plenty of humour. I would say better communication between some staff is required. All in all, we were happy with the care and comfort provided. Thank you to all at Rosewood.
