My Dad moved into Rosewood Manor in July 2023. He was very happy there. He always spoke fondly of all the staff that cared for him. It was very clear to me when I visited that they were just as fond of him. Sadly he passed away just before Christmas 2025, I had the good fortune of being with my Dad
during his final hours and the staff were so supportive towards me, they found me somewhere to rest my head and checked in on me around the clock. The team were amazing, caring, nothing was too much trouble and my Dad loved it there. There was always lots of entertainment going on (we enjoyed this together) something to suit everyone. A complete holistic approach. Thank you for all that you did for my Dad, you all do a fantastic job.
Reply from Amanda Withers, Front of House Manager at Rosewood ManorThank you so much for your kind words. It was an absolute pleasure to have Dad with us here at Rosewood. He made such a huge impression on us all and will be sadly missed. I will pass on your kind words to all the team at Rosewood Manor.

My aunt chose to move to Rosewood Manor after having two bad falls. She wanted to know that there was someone available for help 24/7. She lived there for just over 2 years and was very content with her life there. She enjoyed most of the food and joined in the activities when she wanted to. The staff
were friendly and attentive and treated everyone with respect. As a family we were really pleased with the care and attention she received from all the staff.

My father movrd to Rosewood Manor in 2023 July. Unfortunately he passed away recently. During his time at Rosewood he was cared for and made many new friends whilst living there.
I wanted to write something to reassurre those that are looking for residential care for themselves or a loved one.

Im sure

no home would consider themselves perfect, but are experience with Rosewood was a near that as possible.

My dad considered it home and we considered it my Dads home.

Thankyou Rosewood, wonderful.

I knew this was a special place when I first came to enquire about rooms for my parents, both in their mid 90s. They were fiercely independent but now ready to be looked after if I "could find them somewhere special please". Soon they settled in and were saying this is amazingly good, well done. I felt
safe and very welcomed too. It is a super, well designed place but it's the staff and residents who really make it a big family home. When the saddest of all losses happened recently , that family atmosphere hugs the loved ones left ever closer. I have been helped to deal with all the things next of kin needs to deal with in the midst of shock and grief . Liaison between those agencies and Rosewood is exemplary. Aftercare for my surviving parent is more than I could wish for. Thank you all from me and my family. I thoroughly recommend Rosewood Manor .

Rosewood Manor have been looking after my 87 year-old Mum for a year now, and I have never, in my life, seen her so happy, carefree and full of life. She has gone from a deeply unhappy lady desperately trying to live in and maintain a house on her own, to a version of my Mum that I don't recall seeing
since I was a child - constantly laughing, smiling, singing, joking and hugging everyone. This is all down to the hard work, care and genuine love shown by the wonderful staff at Rosewood Manor. After 10 years of stress and sadness after my Mum was widowed, you have given her her life back, and brought peace to her family and friends. You guys rock, and we cannot thank you enough for everything you do for our beloved Mum.

My husband moved to Rosewood Manor in June. We had to accept the only room on offer at the time, but it was beautifully furnished, clean & bright with good views. Last month he moved to another larger room & now he's on the ground floor with patio doors, an outside space & a little garden which is perfect
for the wheelchair. Staff on all floors have been amazing in meeting his needs. The ground floor makes him feel connected with the outside.

My father has been at Rosewood for over 4 years. The care that he receives, especially from the staff on the second floor is as he would say "second to none". I had genuine concerns about my dad going into a care home but we just couldn't manage his needs at home with us any longer. From the first
day that my dad moved into Rosewood he has felt safe and secure. He did think at first that he was in a 5 star hotel (not a bad thought to be having!). All of the staff have always had his care at the heart of everything they do. The warmth, love and respect that he is shown is amazing. He does not like to join in with the activities (of which there are many) but he is always asked and encouraged to and is never ignored. I can't recommend Rosewood highly enough - it really is as lovely at the heart of it as it looks.

My brother has been a resident at Rosewood Manor for over 2 years. He has been well looked after. The staff are very good with him and know his needs well, and have a good relationship with him. The home is very clean and bed linen & towels are changed daily. Staff are always happy to discuss anything
with you and to act on things. Entertainment is exceptional with varied activities every day. Outside singers, magicians, animals, etc, are brought in. Keep fit, yoga, knitting, art, bingo, etc. Park walks, coffee shops and undertaken. Meals are good and varied, with residents' requirements met where necessary. Hairdressing and manicures available.

Beautifully presented home with kind, hardworking care assistants, catering team and premises staff. If your loved one requires companionship and minimal support, I'm sure they would be extremely happy with the facilities and activities on offer. However, if they require reassurance and assistance with
personal care, mobility, nutrition, etc., then this isn't the home for them. Residents on the Sandringham floor (dementia care) are frequently left unsupervised and confused, with no staff available to help and reassure them. The overstretched care assistants work extremely hard and are amazing, but understaffing and no support from senior management mean they are unable to meet the needs of all residents. A positive needs assessment isn't a guarantee that care needs can be met as resources and training are inadequate. Please do not be dazzled by the show home presentation of this home. Please think very carefully before considering Rosewood Manor for the care of your loved one.

My friend has been a resident at Rosewood Manor for just over a year now. I am not able myself to visit very often but when I do the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The home's cleanliness is immaculate and very welcoming. During the times I am unable to visit, I will telephone
the home where the staff are polite and courteous and allow me to speak with my friend. I would recommend Rosewood Manor to all who are looking to find a care home for their loved ones where they know that they are safe and well cared for.

My mother has been resident at Rosewood Manor since February 2024, and has enjoyed every aspect of life at the home. Her room is comfortable and private, the facilities are excellent.
The social care team organises lively and enriching activities every day of the week: my mum has enjoyed seated exercises,
outdoor games, visits from local schoolkids, crafts, walks around the town, even an encounter with donkeys one day! The core carer team are all very friendly and empathetic, yet quietly professional and competent with their care tasks; some of these can be intimate and potentially embarrassing for Mum, but the team handle it all with great calm, forthrightness, and dignity. The nursing team are very impressive, actively monitoring the progress of symptoms both physical and mental, and take proactive action when an intervention is needed such as an adjustment to medications.
I've seen them in calm times and while handling a crisis, and I've been impressed every time. Highly recommend!

My husband spent two periods in Rosewood Manor; three months for respite care and later, he was there for a year until he died. I was very glad he was able to return there. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Staff are very approachable and know
the residents as individuals, always treating them with care and dignity. They have good links with the nearby doctor's surgery, which was very helpful. There is a full and varied programme of activities, organised by an activities team who encourage residents to participate. Visiting wasn’t limited and I spent most afternoons with my husband, which gave us precious time together. During his stay, the support that staff gave both of us, especially at the end of his life, was amazing. I couldn’t have gotten through such a difficult time without their help and I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and the care they gave to us both.

When looking at care homes this home stood out by far from the other homes in the local area we had viewed. From the initial enquiry till the very end of my grandmother passing everyone was very welcoming and extremely supportive to my family and I. Communication is great, staff go above and beyond
and the manager and her team are brilliant and always make us feel welcomed and that we are no bother if we have any questions. I can't thank them all enough, they are all fabulous and will be forever grateful to them all.

My Father sadly passed away after living in Rosewood Manor for the last twenty months. He was very happy there, he loved the food and all the staff were incredibly kind to him. As a family, we visited regularly and were always very impressed and comforted to know he was in such a caring environment.
He wasn't one for joining in activities, we did however witness lots of the residents doing a multitude of interesting things.
During his final few weeks the staff were so compassionate and caring both to Dad and also to our family. I honestly don't know what we would have done without them. We will miss seeing them ourselves.
I can't recommend it highly enough.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.667)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.667) out of 10 for Rosewood Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.792 for Rosewood Manor is calculated as follows: ( (166 Excellents x 5) + (19 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (3 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 192 Ratings = 4.792
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rosewood Manor is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 registered maximum number of service users is 14, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
