View Full Details of Savernake View Care HomeFriendly staff, always clean and tidy. Very good.
Our mother was living in her own home (with support) until her Alzheimer's, combined with a hospital admission for double pneumonia made full time care necessary 24/7 at the start of 2025. She came to Savernake View on a respite contract to see how she did. She transitioned well. All the nuts and bolts of life are dealt with and I live locally, so can pop in any time (which I do). Mum is capable of accessing all of the entertainment, mini bus trips and exercise opportunities. The staff make sure she is well occupied. She is content. She would always say she wanted to stay in her own home, but in reality, she is much better off at Savernake View where there is lots going on. It is fresh, modern and sociable. The staff are friendly and kind. My brother and sister like to visit (they live further away) and enjoy taking her out to Savernake Forest and into town, where there are many good coffee shops and lunch venues. She recently turned 95 and her cake was amazing!
I have every confidence my relative's care and needs are being fully met by the team at Savernake. They are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They are pro active in their care and identify where my relative would benefit from encouragement to participate in events, additional assistance and/or medical intervention. They have provided peace of mind to our relative's family.
This is a very well placed care home both for mobile residents as well as visitors because of being situated close to Marlborough, Wiltshire, which is a very busy town with good transport facilities. I have been a resident here since April 2025, A part from the very clean environment, the home as has excellent carers who go out of their way in making me comfortable and happy,. Nothing is too much trouble.
After two months stay in hospital in February and March, my wife found this residential care home in Marlborough to facilitate my recuperation from the effects of double pneumonia and sepsis. We are fortunate indeed to have found Savernake View Care Home here in Marlborough and I have been here for the last three months. I am both impressed and encouraged.... The expert team here have been extremely kind and considerate enabling me to progress from being bedbound in April when I arrived to being almost completely mobile and walking by the end of this July 2025. It is my hope to be able to move back into my own home and I am close to achieving this, due to the all-round expertise of nurses, carers and management as well as first-class facilities provided in this purpose built care home. There is capacity for 68 residents with varying needs; great facilities here including a cinema and extensive but secure gardens. Highly recommend!
From the moment I first contacted the Home I have been shown the utmost care, kindness and understanding. At the time my husband was critically ill with Sepsis and double pneumonia, at best he was only given a 50/50 chance of survival. I am disabled (a wheelchair user) therefore I would not be able to care for him if he lived. The home is next door to my apartment block, it would, therefore be easy for me to visit him. It has a good reputation in the area, I can wholeheartedly agree, I couldn't wish for better care for him than that which he has now. The modern building and young enthusiastic staff plus the excellent quality of the catering give the home the feel of a hotel. There are so many activities for residents to partake in, those that hesitate are given very gentle encouragement to join in. The extensive grounds allow residents and families to meet up and enjoy the Spring/Summer days in very pleasant surroundings. Thank you to everyone for your care and kindness.
My mother has settled in over the last two months and is adjusting to her new life in the Care Home. Staff were very helpful arranging a suitable room for her and guiding her through the routines of meal times, activities etc
Savernake has a warm and very friendly atmosphere. The staff are all very helpful and welcoming. The facilities are well maintained and the rooms and social areas are all well decorated and clean. Overall, both inside and outside the home is in good order and has a mist positive feel compared to many others thatch have visited. The medical staff are attentive and keep a good eye on the residents. On the basis of the welcome, the first month's experience and the strong showing by the staff, I would happily recommend Savernake to anybody looking for residence for their elderly relatives.
From the moment my mother arrived at Savernake View she was treated like a VIP and the nurses could not have done enough to make her stay comfortable and jolly. It was lovely for me to be able to visit as often as I did and to be there as her daughter rather than her carer which I had been for the previous months. I got to spend extra quality time which was so precious. I also thank you and the team for protecting mum against estranged family challenges and making mum's welfare a priority in those situations. My thanks to the Management team for making mum's admission a swift and stress free experience and my thanks to all the wonderful nursing team. I didn't get to know all of the nurse's names but I did get to know all the smiles and saw how well they looked after mum. You have a wonderful, kind and caring team who looked after my mother exceptionally well and for that I will always be grateful.
My mother has settled in well, the staff have been very welcoming to both my mother and myself during move. The care has been friendly and professional. There are many and varied activities for residents, provided by a very caring and fun team. The catering team are amazing, wonderful food delivered with pride and more friendly faces. It is a happy place.
Very happy with the care my mum and dad are receiving. The move into Savernake has been very smooth and they have both adjusted well to the change. The staff are very attentive and the atmosphere in the home is very friendly and welcoming every time I visit. Thank you.
Friendly reception and nurses. Good atmosphere. Mum is now bed-bound so no activities. Needs help for all her care needs, and nurses seem caring and helpful. She is sometimes critical of her nurses, but I'm afraid that is probably because she now has no ability to help herself, which must be difficult for her. Thank you for her care.
The improvement in both physical and mental health since they moved in is amazing. They are now bright, breezy and interested in life again. Everyone we have come across has been so helpful and genuinely supportive and caring.
My mum has been at Savernake for almost 3 years. She has received the best care for her dementia. The staff are caring, friendly and understanding of her needs. The whole team, from reception to the carers and catering team, are always welcoming with a smile and time to chat about how mum is. My dad was also at Savernake before he passed following a period of illness. The staff could not have been more supportive at a difficult time.
My mother has settled in well to the care home and I feel extremely confident in the level of care that she receives. She has a new lease of life and has transformed from someone who literally sat around all day in her pants to someone who is dressed, clean and interested in the world around her. She is taking pride in her appearance and is enjoying joining in some of the activities now. Personally I believe this has been the best move for her and having experienced another care home this one is far superior in every way. Most importantly the staff are kind and caring and make sure she is comfortable putting her needs as priority. The staff have taken on board all our concerns about my mother and have actioned anything we know about her character and how best to encourage her to enjoy these latter years ahead. We are all enjoying watching her bloom again so thank you so much.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Savernake View Care Home for almost 18 months, the staff are very welcoming and friendly to both myself and my dog and we are welcomed with unrestricted visiting times. She has a lovely room with a little patio area of her own so it feels very homelike. The food smells delicious with a 3-course lunch which she can select from the daily menu and if she doesn't fancy anything on the menu they are happy to make an omelette or something instead. They have tried extremely hard to find activities that interest her and we have made use of the very comfortable cinema. The orangery has activities going on every day with cakes and drinks available for guests as well as residents. Having her nails and hair done is a real boost. She receives excellent care from all the staff who are easy to approach and readily available to answer any concerns.
My husband is a resident of the care home. As a family we are very happy with the care he receives. His needs are met with kindness and dignity. As a family we are welcomed by friendly staff on all levels. We are informed of events and any changes that he might need. Each time I leave him I know he is in good hands.
My mother originally came in for respite care as there were delays in purchasing her new home which nearer myself. She was there for 6 weeks and always was happy and engaged. On moving her to her new home she struggled with the change of environment and ultimately it was her decision to return to Savernake View Care home as she felt happier, safer and more engaged then living with a live in carer. It is a very hard decision to move a loved one into a care home as it does come with some preconceived ideas. I and all her family, though have been delighted with everything Savernake View offers to its residents and tailors it's care to the specific needs whether physical or mental. The home has a wonderful feel and the staff are all kind, helpful and caring and the facilities, activities and the wonderful choice of food make each day feel unique and different.
My father has had the care we hoped he would have when we were looking for loving, friendly care in a homely atmosphere. We have had a couple of issues that have always been dealt with immediately and resolved with the greatest of care. I leave my visits feeling relaxed for my father and myself. I always recommend the service to anyone looking for care for their loved ones.
Savernake View Care Home has been absolutely wonderful for both Mum and Dad. The staff are incredibly supportive, always going above and beyond to ensure they're comfortable and happy. The activities are engaging and well-organised, the food is of high quality and it's heartwarming to see how lovely the residents are. The home itself is beautiful, particularly the inviting Orangery, creating such a warm and welcoming environment. We couldn't be more pleased.
Friendly staff, always clean and tidy. Very good.
