View Full Details of The Grand Care CentreMy mum was resident at The Grand for two and half years, the care she received was consistently excellent, the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble when it came to the staff. The home allowed mum to take some personal items from home to make her room familiar ,and her stay enriched.I would have no hesitation in recommending The Grand at the highest level to anyone.
My mum was in the care of the dedicated and professional team at The Grand from Jan 23 until July 25, and I can honestly say, the care she received was never anything less than excellent! The staff are incredibly caring and genuinely sincere in the love and support they provide for the residents. They do their utmost to provide the highest standards of car at all times. The accommodation is modern, pleasant and always kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. The food provided is really good and the activities team do an amazing job of providing varying activities, outings and visits from entertainers to keep the residents occupied and engaged. Management are so efficient too, always contactable and eager to help. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a higher standard of care for my mum during her final years. A huge thank you to the wonderful team at The Grand. You are a credit to your profession, you really are!
I found a very warm welcome and greeting at the front desk and then all the staff greeted and asked if I was ok. I found this very reassuring. The care provided by the staff was considerate, lovely and did not fall short in any department. The Grand is clean and secure. I found my mum was safe and secure in The Grand's care. Many thanks to all staff and management for the fantastic care provided.
Having enjoyed the facilities in The Grand in 2024, I returned there in April 2025 as it offered medical and respite care that I needed following an operation. The staff were friendly and attentive to my needs, which contributed to my early recovery. Furthermore, I was aware of how gentle, kind and caring they were to the dementia residents in the home. The management and staff were professional and understanding and responsive to residents' needs. The facilities and rooms are first class and I would certainly return for respite and medical care in the future.
I can't thank the staff enough for the outstanding care and compassion. Every team member went above and beyond, treating both my mother (resident) and father (daily visitor) with genuine warmth and dignity. The grand is a shining example of what care should be.
From the first visit before mum went into The Grand, to the experience on day of arrival to the care mum receives on a daily basis, the staff at The Grand have been fantastic. The manager is absolutely amazing.
Excellent experience of my wife going into care. Manager and all staff have been really first class.
My father only spent a couple of months here on end-of-life care until he sadly passed. The care he received at The Grand was respectful, kind, caring and professional. Through my frequent visits I got to know the team who supported him. The home manager has managed to hire some of the loveliest people I have ever met. Each time I left after visiting I felt confident and reassured that I had secured him a place in a good care home. It relieved a lot of the anxieties and guilt I felt about the entire situation. My father passed peacefully in early February but I will be forever grateful to the nurses/carers who made his transition from this world to the next an easy one. God bless you all.
Very happy here. The care provided by carers, management and well-being staff members is exceptional. My health is carefully watched and I feel very lucky and safe.
I am very happy here, the staff are kind and helpful.
I can not recommend The Grand Care Home in West Bridgford Nottingham enough. My Father was fast-tracked out of hospital in May 2024. It was a traumatic period and to place your relative in any care home is a massive step the pressure to get it right is immense. Having visited quite a few and being horrified at what we saw, the visit to The Grand was amazing within a 1 minute of entering I already had a good feeling and after being shown around the choice was easy to make. The staff are fantastic and went above and beyond in the care and friendly ship they gave to my Father. Every member of staff was superb you could not wish for better. The building is kept to the highest standard. I have no hesitation in recommending The Grand to anyone who needs to find a care home for a member of their family. Thank you all at The Grand for the care you gave my Dad in his last days.
After making the decision to move mum to The Grand Care Centre, we received ongoing support from the time we visited through to the day of the move. Move day could have been challenging for mum and potentially disorientating but from the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome from reception and encouraged to take our time to let mum adjust. There is no cure for dementia but the positive change we have seen since mum has been at The Grand is remarkable. This transformation is undoubtedly a testament to the care and attention she receives from staff across the whole of the care home, as well as the open, clean and welcoming physical environment. We've seen glimpses of mum we thought we had lost forever. The care has been personalised to ensure mum can feel at ease and safe. She looks healthier and her demeanor has improved more than we could ever have hoped for. Seeing mum happy and relaxed allows us to feel at ease, knowing she is in safe and caring hands.
I'm happy here, everyone is smashing, helpful, kind and good. I enjoy being here with the many friends that I've made over the years I've been here. I get on very well with everyone and we have lots of fun.
Everyone is very kind with me. I am very happy here.
Firstly there are some very caring staff there but also staff who are not so caring. The main problem is lack of staff which leads to problems. 1) Not answering the alarm bell swiftly. 2) My father had 2 showers in 10 months, he's now showered daily at new care home. 3) We had to get the physio to push for Dad to use a commode, staff left him to wee in a pad, he was not incontinent - he now uses a bottle and normal toilet.
Mum has been in the care home for many years and she is so happy and well cared for. We as a family couldn't be happier with the standard of ongoing care Mum receives from the whole team. Everyone is welcoming and supportive.
Admitted end of life a few months ago. The care I have received has been fabulous. I have just been transferred to the ground floor at my request, this was done very quickly.
I can't speak highly enough of The Grand. The standard of care, the activities, the food and the facilities are excellent. Most of all it was the genuine sense of being welcome and cared for as part of a family which my mum and I valued the most.
My father stayed 2 weeks for respite. I cannot praise the helpfulness and professionalness of the staff and managers both to my father and to us when we visit. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, modern and comfortable. A choice of good meals and snacks were available and there were regular activities going on throughout his stay. The staff were understanding of my father's dementia, and able to patiently reassure him of where he was, and any other concerns he had. They also looked after his medicine and hygiene care very well. Highly recommended from initial planning, through to end of stay. And the building and floors were very secure too.
My father-in-law went into the home for respite care for 2 weeks, I would like to thank all of the staff at The Grand for all of the care and attention they have shown my father-in-law, this has had a profoundly positive effect on his health and general wellbeing. I know for sure he has enjoyed all of the fun and varied activities available. My sincerest thanks to all.
