View Full Details of The GrangeMy wife has been in the care of The Grange Care Home, since November 2022 and has received care and attention which was exemplary in all areas. The staff all of them have become friends. I wish them well for the future.
The staff are friendly. Mam kept clean, she is settled and content here, management are very good very helpful with any problems.
I am very happy here, very well looked after. Staff are kind and helpful, very friendly.
Excellent care, friendly and helpful staff. Lots of activities for the residents to get involved in too.
The home is extremely clean and I am very lucky to be a resident. Food is good and the staff and related care workers, practitioners and support people are very caring, professional and friendly. We have a good variety of activities, however I wish I could get outside more especially during the summer. Down side is the lift is regularly out of use and the care home fees increase each year higher than inflation rates.
The home is very professional, caring, clean, safe and friendly. Mam is comfortable and I am comforted by the extremely high amount of detailed assistance and tailored support Mam receves at all times from both internal and external service providers. The quality of food and hygiene is excepeitonal which is very important. Although the fees are competitive, the yearly price increases each time I feel are disproportionate to the cost of living and inflation.
There is a lovely friendly atmosphere and the whole building is kept nicely and very clean. Staff are attentive and caring, taking account of individual needs. There are stimulating and varied activities and entertainment. Whilst I appreciate the need to maintain high standards of cleanliness I do not understand why all clothing is washed at 40c, damaged beyond use and smaller items continually lost - socks, underwear.
My mother is suffering from pulmonary fibrosis which is a progressive illness. Since going into The Grange her needs are being well addressed by a team of professional carers and nothing is too much trouble. Mam's general appearance and demeanor have improved remarkably and this is entirely down to the level of care she is receiving. She is now eating well, is much happier and has settled really well in her new surroundings. It is very reassuring to know that she is being so well looked after.
I needed to find some care for my mother after she was discharged from hospital following a fall but I felt that she wasn't well enough or would not be safe enough to go straight back to her bungalow as she lived alone and is fiercely independent. The Grange were contacted to see if they could help me and my mother and I can honestly say that from the moment she arrived the staff and the love and care provided to not only my mother but to myself and my family has been fantastic. She has now built up her strength, is managing to walk again, is eating more than she ever did, and has made many friends. In fact she loves it so much she has decided she wants to stay there! Can't thank the wonderful staff enough for their professionalism but most of all for the loving care they give to all the residents.
My partner has been living here for nearly 18 months and I am very happy with the care he receives. The staff are sensitive to his needs and preferences and he clearly is very happy to be there. This period had needed a lot of sensitive and potentially distressing conversations and I have felt acknowledged and supported throughout. I have marked activities as excellent despite his refusal to engage as the staff offer an extensive range of things to do and it's not their fault he doesn't want to get involved
Beautiful, clean home. Caring staff. Always willing to help, have a buzzer to press if I need assistance. The home is like a hotel.
Very good care home with plenty of activities to take part in. Food and rooms are excellent and care staff are very good in looking after residents.
Very pleasant care home, staff very friendly and attentive. Care home is bright and fresh. Staff keen and motivated to help. Only negative point is that some furniture is damaged and does not match - not something I would personally have in my room, however this is a personal opinion!
My husband is a regular respite user. As a family we are very happy with the overall care he receives whilst staying at The Grange, the staff are excellent, the accomodation is very clean and well looked after, the food is good and there are activities to keep him occupied. A care plan was put in place which covers all of his individual needs and the home is well managed and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for care for a relative.
After hearing about other care homes I was very shocked to find this one very clean, tidy and they clean all over the place two times a day, they help you when you aren't well, they did activities, the food/drink was different every day. The staff looked after me and I couldn't thank them enough. The staff were always on point with their duties and they interacted with the patients really well.
We were looking for a Care Home for my dad after his spell in hospital. After visiting a number of local care homes and having some reservations we knew immediately upon having a tour and speaking with staff members that the Grange would be the place for him. The staff are excellent and understand the emotions that both the resident and their families have when seeking residential care. My dad was made very welcomed and the team got him settled in very quickly. Nothing was a problem for them and my dad was treated with exceptional care, respect, and love. It was a relief for the family knowing that he was in such a safe and caring environment. Unfortunately, after only three weeks my dad's health condition suddenly deteriorated and he passed away with me by his side. The genuine care and compassion of all the staff for us at this time was excellent and they ensured dad was comfortable, in no pain and was allowed to pass away with dignity. Thank you to the Manager and the full team.
The place itself is beautiful, well maintained and staff are very caring. Dad's room is a decent size and has his home comforts. Thank you.
I have been going to The Grange for over 7 months now as a volunteer. My passion is knitting and I have enjoyed both teaching non-knitters and rekindling the skills for those who haven't knit for some time. Sometimes we do more chatting than knitting but that is also nice. The home is a friendly and happy place and is spotlessly clean. All of the staff that I have met have been very caring, helpful and professional at all times. I look forward to my weekly visits and long may they continue. If I were to need residential care then The Grange would be my first choice. Well done to all the staff.
I've been going to the care home for over six months to visit my brother. I've found all staff to be very helpful and professional. My brother has made some improvements to his health whilst being at The Grange. Overall, I am very happy with the level of care provided by The Grange.
My friend has been in the care home since the new year, both he and his family and friends have been impressed with his all-round care. It has done the world of good being cared for in The Grange and he has come out of himself, interacting with both staff and other residents. When he is away from home, he sometimes can not wait to get back to the safe and secure environment of his new home. That speaks volumes for the care and compassion of The Grange. Thanks for helping over the difficult past few months.
