View Full Details of Hawthorns Aldridge - Avery HealthcareSince moving into Avery three more months ago it has been a joy to see the positive impact that it has had on my father in law. We haven't seen him as happy as this for a long time. He has made great friends with both the staff and the residents. The food and social activities are both exceptional. Every time we come to make a visit we are warmly welcomed and made to feel like part of the Avery family. The staff could not have been more helpful helping us during the process of moving our father-in-law into his new accommodation and helping him to feel at home. We are so thankful for the Hawthorns and their dedication to excellence.
The Hawthorns Aldridge offers a lovely warm welcoming atmosphere from the moment you enter the reception area. My friend's rooms is beautifully decorated and well maintained. There is a lovely private dining room which I can highly recommend having recently eaten there ... the 3 course meal was amazing ... a big thank you to the Chef. There are so many members of staff that I could mention who go above and beyond in making sure an excellent level of care is provided to the residents. Entertainment and social events are held throughout the year and the recently held Saturday night Pub Quiz was a great success, I'm now looking forward to the Summer Fair.
Where to begin a thousand words is hardly enough for this fantastic residence. Everyone of the Staff were amazing caring and even loving, they went as far knowing all the names of each resident. We as a family were blown away by the everything that was done each room is cleaned (on Daily Basis) and tidy, including a laundry service, meeting all the residents requirements. There always something planned to entertain the residents from Singalongs to Choirs and exercises classes to name but a few. the food was always top notch and plenty of choice to accommodate the needs of each person. There was never any pressure to join in (Entertainment) but checks were always made to ensure the wellbeing was a number one priority of all residents. So a MASSIVE thank you to Manger, Dept Manager, Finance, FD in fact all the staff, as everyone one of them were fantastic, it really felt that they were looking after "Family" which gave our us peace of mind.
I moved to Hawthorns from another Avery care home, as in typical Avery style they believed it was a closer fit to what suited my needs- as always the first rule of care is does it fit the requirement of the online portal, as developed with Staffs mental health and Avery (by me) - in this case YES . my experience albeit short is that the manager and her excellent team more than excel in the pursuit of individual tailoring and fulfilment while ensuring that requirements are matched and maintained. Hawthorn has a more difficult brief than many care homes as it seeks to match many different facets of care and care progression . all done with an open, friendly and fully inclusive manner - would i recommend - yes if the match of requirement works Absolutely thanks to all.
All excellent. No problems.
I recently spent 7 days convalescence care at The Hawthorns, Aldridge after surgery. The surroundings were second to none and all the staff were professional, polite and friendly, this all helped in the initial stages of my recovery. Praise goes to the catering team for such lovely food. Well done to all. I would certainly recommend the Hawthorns.
My mum spent two weeks at the Hawthorns following replacement hip surgery. The care and kindness she received from staff was outstanding and she was made to feel very welcome by the other residents. We would most certainly recommend the Hawthorns.
We were lucky enough to eat at the Hawthorns in the private dining room. A massive thank you to the manager and his amazing team who cooked the most amazing three-course meal. Iced-prosecco and wine on the table. Nothing was too much trouble. We were really looked after.
I have just spent a lovely week at Hawthorns recovering from a knee replacement operation. My room was great and everywhere was spotless and well-maintained. All the staff were professional, caring and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and well presented with lots of choices. All of the residents made me feel so welcome despite only being there for a week. Definitely a great choice for convalescence. Thank you.
I came in for two weeks of respite care while my daughter was on holiday. I found the care to be of a very high standard. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I really enjoyed the varied activities that were provided, especially the D-Day celebrations. My room was spacious and very nicely furnished, and I enjoyed all my meals. I would be very happy to return next time my daughter is on holiday.
I found the standard of care excellent. I thought the chefs did a marvellous job with the various menus they served. I would have liked healthier yoghurt and fruit juice and fresh fruit salad but my stay was excellent. Caring and helpful staff made my stay enjoyable and comfortable. Thank you. Excellent hairdresser too.
Very pleased with how my mother has settled into the Hawthorns. The staff are kind, helpful and considerate. The home is clean, pleasant and the activities are really good. Always new events to look forward to. Mom takes full advantage of these and the trips arranged outside the home. So pleased she chose this home because they go above and beyond.
In my experience here I find all aspects of the care to be excellent on the whole, including all of the staff here. They do a fantastic job, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are very polite to all of the residents. The service they provide is second to none, so I rate this care home very highly and therefore I would rate it as top.
A very friendly service that looks after my friend's every need. I know he is safe, looked after and well entertained with all the lovely activities. The staff are amazing and the building is spotless. Thank you!
The place is lovely, rooms are lovely. The staff are great and the food is superb.
Hawthorns was decorated beautifully, loads of entertainment for the residents to enjoy. An amazing Christmas buzz around the home. Relatives coming and going. Entertainment staff had different festive costumes each day. The festive menu was beautiful. These staff have made my and mom's Christmas, knowing she is looked after and entertained whilst I'm at work and involves me when I'm here. They have become my family, I couldn't and wouldn't be without them.
It's very good except for the inconsistent dining room service which at times is very poor. That also applies to the food, ie: a piece of cake served as a pudding, toast with hardly any butter on it or dry sandwiches for Sunday evening mail.
We couldn't wish for anything better for our 95 year old auntie. The room is brilliant. Large, warm all the time for her and very secure. Double glazed so no road noise. The staff are fantastic and all of them go the extra mile to make our aunt feel at home. The food has a wide variety of freshly cooked food. Loads of various activities if the resident wants to participate. Place is spotlessly clean with a daily clean and monthly deep clean at.
As a care home, not a nursing home they have given excellent treatment. If anything the only problem has been over the staff as some of the resident's needs do require consistency of care.
This is an excellent facility all staff are very caring and treat everyone with respect. I can't praise the entire staff enough for how they looked after myself and my mother whilst we were residents there for 6 weeks respite. I joined in with as many activities as I could, the food was excellent lots of choice. Came home feeling rejuvenated as also had my hair done by the in-house hairdresser. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone.
