I was impressed with the rooms and en suite etc. Ate there twice, unfortunately same day of the week, so same meal, but it was enjoyable. Not sure of any activities, never witnessed any. Collected him today after a 2-week stay, and the staff had packed up all his belongings. When I got home, unpacked, I had half the clothes which were not his! I don't know much of what is missing, as I did not make a list when I took him to the care home.
We were invited to visit Waterhouse Manor with our alpacas for an Alpaca experience for the residents. As always, the event was very well organised and coordinated. We were greeted with a smile and offered a drink straight away. The residents who we met during the experience were all very happy and full of cheer! We had a lovely afternoon meeting everyone and thank you for inviting us to spend some time with you. Its a really lovely place to visit, clean, well kept and all the staff who we met were very kind, caring and professional.
Dad has been at Waterhouse Manor 4 months now and things just get better and better. The staff are all amazing, caring, happy and cheerful and always willing to engage with family visiting. I am always made to feel very welcome and I love that I can visit my dad at any time - there is nothing hidden. The activities staff work hard to give residents a huge variety of activities and entertainment - and they are all supported and encouraged to participate at whatever level they are able. A weekly exercise group has recently started - which I feel is really important and beneficial for the wellbeing of my dad and for other residents. Waterhouse Manor is so much more than just another care home- it is something lovely and positive. I look forward to visiting my dad here and I'm glad we choose Waterhouse Manor.
The carers couldn't be kinder to my brother, and he couldn't be happier living in his new home. I feel so blessed to find him such a lovely place to live. He loves the food and the company; he was having a lonely time before moving to Waterhouse Manor. For me, it is such a relief that he is now safe
My mother recently had a two-week respite stay and thoroughly enjoyed herself during this time. Communication to arrange the stay was excellent and I felt able to ask any questions and make requests with confidence. The home is clean, modern and comfortable and everyone is very welcoming. Mum commented on the lovely staff, who could not do enough for her, and the interesting activities. She felt well cared for and safe, and said she would happily have another stay in the future.
After living and the losing her sister-in-law, my aunt had to find a care home. She was welcomed with open arms into this caring and supportive home. My aunt was very nervous, as she likes routine, and had never been in a home before. She has settled in well and is happy. This care home in Fordham, is beautiful, friendly and there is always lots going on. The staff are amazing, always putting the residents first.
Clean, friendly and welcoming. Although a care home it gave the appearance of a hotel. The staff were amazing and caring to everyone. My dad was only in for respite but was very well looked after. The food was abit mixed somedays better than others. My dad didnt have dementia but how the staff were with those residents i wouldn't hesitate to put a family member in Waterhouse Manor as the staff were remarkable, patient and caring
My wife has continued to receive nothing but the very best in daily care at this wonderful home. All visitors are made to feel very welcome and precise attention to individual needs remains as outstanding as ever. The variety of activities on offer are outstanding and all are carefully chosen to include residents in sessions which are both stimulating and encourage their participation and involvement at a level with which they are comfortable. Relevant information on my wife's well-being is always readily available. Now with warmer weather here a few short trips out to meet up with close friends and family have proved to be a welcome and worthwhile addition to the usual care home routines.
Mum has been at Waterhouse Manor since January. The home is stunning and very clean. All staff are friendly, caring and professional. Mum has quite complex needs. all of which are being met. Nothing is too much trouble and as a family we feel listened to and made to feel welcome whenever we visit.
My family and myself really were so happy that my wife was receiving such professional care and kindness from all at WaterHouse Manor. Also, all of us in my wife's family were given so much support during a rather difficult time. Thank you to all at Waterside Manor for looking after my wife so well. Please don't change anything that you do.
My mum is doing 4 weeks of respite. We did 2 weeks for a start, but she's doing so well she is doing another 2 weeks. She is building up her confidence after being in hospital. She is cared for so well and nothing is too much trouble. Daily updates on how well Mum is doing or any concerns. Always made very welcome.
I was more than happy with the level of care, understanding and kindness shown to my mother during her respite stay. Mum loved her short stay and the wonderful staff. Mum is looking forward to her next stay.
Waterhouse Manor is a 5 Star Home Care Accommodation in Fordham, Cambridgeshire. The manager and staff are excellent for my sister. She loved everything about Waterhouse Manor on her first visit and wished she had decided care home living months ago because she felt the joy and peace as she walked in the door. The accommodation, food and care given is excellent and professional. The manager and the care team were very helpful in assisting with my sister's care based on what she needed after the medical exam and talking with her. She is excited each day and the manager has allowed her to bring books into the home and now she has her own corner for all her bird watching and roaming books outside her room for the resident to read. Overall, my sister is very happy, feels/looks great and safe because the staff has helped her with her social skills. Waterhouse Manor is an amazing place, with a wonderful staff that cares and a great place for my sister. Thanks Waterhouse Manor for saving my sister.
Although mum only stayed at Waterhouse Manor for a few weeks as she sadly passed away the care she received was excellent. The care she received was tailored to her specific needs and every member of staff she had contact with treated her with dignity and compassion. My family are so grateful for all the support we received at what was a very sad time.
We have been particularly grateful for advice on how to help our relative to settle and feel at home. Also the sensitivity in realising our sadness in letting them go into residential care.
Arriving at this home is like entering a 5-star hotel. The decor is beautiful and the home is very welcoming. All the staff are very welcoming. My auntie is very happy here and wants for nothing. The facilities are outstanding, every little detail has been thought of. When I visit there are always lots of smiles from staff and residents. I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone thinking of somewhere for their loved one. You certainly won't regret it.
We are friends of an 89-year-old widow who has been in Waterhouse Manor since November 2024 having been living alone with day carers for a few years. We visit her regularly once a week and the overall improvement in her quality of life is very obvious in every respect. The home opened in 2024 so is new, well designed and appointed and with plenty of parking. All the staff we have encountered seem to be genuinely caring people and professional; they are very welcoming towards us. Our friend says the food is excellent. The home gets involved with the local community and various visits from local groups are arranged. Residents are also taken on short visits to a tea room at a local garden centre which our friend enjoys. She is very happy at Waterhouse Manor.
I knew from my first visit to Waterhouse Manor when I was looking for respite care for my mum that it was going to be an amazing place. The staff are always kind, caring, hardworking and approachable nothing is too much trouble for them. The facilities are excellent; very clean, warm and bright. Mum was very anxious at first but with lots of support from the staff and other residents she has settled in well and is now a permanent resident. We as a family have always been kept informed of Mum's needs and have been made to feel very welcome when visiting her with mugs of tea and a tasty meal if we want to join Mum for Lunch. The activities vary each day and I have enjoyed joining in with some of them too. I don't worry about Mum as much now as I know she is safe, happy and extremely well cared for.
My husband has been attending Waterhouse Manor on Monday and Friday from the end of September 2024. He requires mainly social care. Memory and speech very limited. The care and stimulation he receives are outstanding. All his time there is very special. He receives constant help with joining in the many activities, enjoys all refreshments and nourishing meals. All the staff are amazing, thoughtful, kind and reassuring. We are always greeted with a smile.
