View Full Details of Windsor Court Care HomeI visited my brother it was my third visit as I live quite a distance. I found everything first class, management staff, everyone I met was very helpful, kind, caring and I feel my brother is getting the best care possible. He seems to have settled in considering the circumstances of his illness.
We were very happy with the care that the Windsor Court team provided over the four years that mum was resident. They were always considerate of her needs, even as these became more difficult over time due to her failing health. Team members were always approachable and friendly and took time above and beyond to support mum. We also appreciated the positive influence that the manager brought to the home since starting, along with other key team members who had a very positive effect on mum's care.
Dad moved in March this year. He is enjoying all the activities that are on offer, he especially enjoyed the boat trip on the sheerness canal and enjoys all the music events. He loves the food, a cooked breakfast every day. The staff are all lovely with him exchanging banter which he loves. Overall very satisfied.
My wife has been a resident at Windsor Court since it opened nearly 4 years ago. There have been some very difficult times with the covid restrictions, the failure of national governments to honour promised assistance and staff recruitment problems. The recent situation regarding the imposition of national insurance levies will cause more problems and they will increase costs and fees substantially. This home has been managed in a very pleasant, efficient and professional manor. The ethos and management are excellent and welcoming. I have no hesitation in recommending it to potential clients. Thank you all.
I find the facility spotless. The staff are honestly caring with the residents. While these issues are very important I have found the food consistently excellent. I can honestly say, the food has confirmed my decision to keep mum here. I'm grateful to the chef and staff for their dedication.
It's taken a while to write this because I have been waiting awhile for some issues we had while Dad was in there, to be sorted, but they still haven't. He went in there because he went off his feet and there was not enough available care in the community for his needs, local district nurses got him a place in there, my Dad was supposedly on End of life care, but he was treated just as an elderly gent rather than being a very ill gent. I truly believe the care he received was not adequate, It definitely isn't the place for someone so ill. There seems to be a lack of understanding and empathy, I also think there is a language barrier in some cases, I'm sure that there are not enough staff because buzzers are going for ages. We used to say things to the staff, like Dads in pain or he needs someone to look at him, this might be on a Sunday and the reply would be, okay the Doctor is coming on Wednesday. The overall appearance of the place is lovely but the care was poor.
Firstly, I want to give you a massive thank you for the care and attention both management and staff have showed and given to me during my short stay. I have to say at the beginning I was a little unsure but that quickly changed. The short stay has helped with the recovery from a major operation. Again, my thanks to everybody.
I cannot express how grateful I am for the care Windsor Court provided for my wonderful Grandmother. The staff approached her and the rest of my family with person-centeredness, sensitivity and love. We all felt so welcome when visiting, including my Grandmother's very young Great Grandchildren who loved visiting Windsor Court and sitting in the bistro area with her. Despite having very complex care needs, she was looked after wonderfully and the staff worked so hard collaboratively with us as a family and outside care services to ensure she got the very best care. The food provided was exceptional and the chef did everything to deliver delicious and bespoke meals for my Grandmother's changing needs. The rooms are kept beautifully clean and the staff always have a friendly smile on their face. Thank you so much!
The carers and the support staff are friendly and professional, and always cheerful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The bistro on the ground floor is a welcoming space for both visitors and residents. The upstairs lounge is elegant and with a restful atmosphere. I feel my husband is very, very well looked after.
Windsor Court worked rapidly and efficiently with the hospice and home team to arrange emergency 2-week respite for my mother. The transition experience was exceptional with every complex need and requirement listened to and activated. My mother is now permanently at WC. Every single member of staff shows kindness, professionalism, a sense of humour, friendship and support to my mother and all my family. WC is exceptional in every way from management, nursing, care workers, chef, hospitality, activity team, cleaning etc. We are most grateful to WC and its extremely high standards of care.
A very warm welcome by all members of staff. Everyone gives time to actively listen to residents and visitors. Staff are very accessible and obliging. Kind, excellent nursing and care. Activities are varied and well-organised. Very sensitive and creative chefs, catering for specific needs - delicious, nutritious meals. Encouragement given to make the spacious rooms homely, friendly and expert hospitality. The design and surroundings of the building are safe, tasteful and comfortable. The spiritual needs of residents are well met. A very 'whole' and reassuring experience.
A very welcoming and caring place, the staff could not have been more kind, and have offered us a great deal of their time. We are so pleased that the resident is here. The range of activities and the enthusiasm with which they are given is incredible.
Having spent only two weeks here I have found everything very satisfactory and would certainly return if needed. Regarding food and drink, as I have cancer of the mouth the chef has certainly done their best to accommodate me, for which I was very grateful.
My wife had fantastic care from all staff. She could not have asked for better.
I recently visited my mother for the first time since she moved to Windsor Court, I was very impressed with the facilities. Over the four days that I visited, it was a pleasure to meet many members of staff, all of whom were very caring of my mother and took the time to ensure that her needs were met with a smile. The ladies at reception always greeted us with a smile, the activities were very engaging, and the chef served a delicious luncheon. The business manager was always there to answer questions. It was heartwarming to see my mother being so well cared for. Thank you
My mum moved into Windsor Court in July last year. The rooms are spacious, well furnished and have quite a luxury feel about them. Mum has added pictures and soft furnishings from home which helps to give it a homely feel. The staff are lovely, really friendly and helpful. The activities program is great, with a wide variety of enjoyable things to do. The nursing care is very good and the communication from them if there are any issues is prompt and efficient. It is a pleasure to visit and they look after visitors and family members very well. It is a great relief to know that my mum is being so well looked after.
We have moved our mother from Windsor Court to another care home for the following reasons: 1. Continuous use of agency staff, many of whom are not invested in the residents or are unsure of their role. 2. Low staff levels and reception left unattended on numerous occasions (usually when staff are smoking). 3. Failure to activate our mum's door alarm despite knowing that residents were entering her room and frightening her. This culminated in a resident entering her room with a cutlery knife. Thankfully I was there to intervene.
My father arrived at Windsor Court with a complex array of health issues. We had looked at a number of care homes in the area, but meeting the manager and her team (and receptionist) was a 'game changer'. I knew I had found a 'home from home', somewhere he would be cared for and treated with respect and where we, as a family, would always be welcomed. It has been a marvellous experience for us all from start to finish. His final days and in particular his final hours could not gave been more peaceful. Thank you Windsor Court.
My father had absolutely outstanding care. Most important to us was the kindness shown to all the family whilst visiting and the seamless interaction with the excellent GP practice which came to the terminal care my father needed. The respect from every member of staff throughout all my father's care was exemplary. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We were so pleased to have found such a beautiful place staffed by such beautiful people.
I have found Dad has settled in nicely into his long-term care home. His needs are met as an individual with love, care and dignity. He feels secure and safe there and not at risk of falling over or not getting the care he now requires. Thank you Windsor Court. Truly grateful to you all for giving us peace of mind.
