The residents are all extremely happy and well cared for.The home has a lovely atmosphere and they must be glad they live somewhere that is so caring.
Attended a wonderful BBQ this afternoon. Family, friends, relatives and staff all attending. Excellent event. Excellent care home, staff look after and care for all residents brilliantly - kind, caring and compassionate. Feel very lucky to have found Woodland Manor for our mum.
We needed a care home for my 96 year old mother while her daily carer was away . However, Mum has always been very resistant to the idea of staying in a care home. We chose Woodland Manor as it is very well set out, has lovely facilities and a good programme of activities. The first week mum was quite unsettled but the staff were very kind and caring and mum settled into the rhythm of the home. As WM is near to where we live, mum appreciated seeing us more often. Being able to visit on any day, at any time is so helpful and visitors are made welcome. The carers are good at checking in with mum but not too intrusive. She greatly appreciates their help with showering and dressing. We are soon coming to the end of the respite period and we're delighted that mum has decided that she would like stay on permanently. This is due to the standard of care and cheerfulness of the staff. It's a great relief to us that she is receiving such quality 24 hour care.
My husband has spent 2 weeks at Woodland Manor. It is his first experience of a care home. He has been impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the helpful staff. It is a very comfortable environment for him to stay in.
The clean outside space is calming and inviting, and through the doors, you are met with much the same - a lovely meeting area and beautiful gardens that any person would benefit from. All the staff and management have been nothing but fantastic - my dad's been 'well looked after, fed well and have no issues, in fact it's been a great choice for him. Keep up the amazing work. Thank you.

I visit my friend at the home very frequently, I'm very pleased to see how happy he is in the home. The staff are very friendly and professional. It's also very heart warming to see the residents interacting in the lounge and doing activities together. The management team is doing a splendid job even taking time out to have conversations with the residents with their busy schedule. The manager has really turned thing around bring life back into the home. I wish him many years of good health and strength to continue to carry out the wonderful job he's doing along with his deputy.
Having been a visiting family member and now as volunteer at Woodland Manor, I continue to witness the dedication and kindness of staff towards the residents as well as the visiting family members and volunteers. The programme of daily activities has good variation and are well organised, residents are encouraged to join in and take part in as much as possible and family members made aware and invited to all the entertainment sessions which are well attended. All in all, simply superb.
The staff team are excellent. My father receives the care & support he needs, provided with kindness & compassion.
My grandmother joined Woodland Manor Care Home in Jan 2025. She absolutely loves it there. She says she has company every day and the food is out of this world! I visit her most days & I can see how happy she is. The staff at the home are so kind & caring, and it really is like home from home. If I ever had to go into a home in the future, this would be my first choice. It's 5*.
My grandmother has been here for three months and I could not recommend this home any higher. The rooms are spacious, the staff at every level are so kind and genuine and the food is amazing with a great choice and to a very high standard. Overall, if I go into a home I wish I get put in here. My granny thinks she is very lucky. A five star facility.
Well kept establishment. Always happy people, always helpful.
My mother has been at Woodland Manor for 11 months. I cannot speak highly enough about the care she receives. At The Manor the management and staff are so kind and caring. The facilities are first class and the food is excellent. Mum is happy here. My sister and I know that she is well looked after.
My mother has been at Woodland Manor for a number of years and I have always found that she has been cared for with compassion. The staff have always been excellent, there are plenty of activities, although Mum is less able to join in now. The environment is maintained to a high standard, and I feel that Mum is always safe and treated with dignity.
The care home look after my mum very well, the staff always inform us of any issues and mum's general wellbeing, they also take Mum out on the bus for visits. The food is also very good and I also eat regularly with Mum as a treat. Overall, the manager and staff are very good.
After just one month of experience, and being able to compare two different care homes, I believe Woodland Manor to be better suited to my wife, and to me too as a visitor. The wooden furniture in the bedroom is barely sufficient and the quality isn't great but the soft furnishings are lovely and it's location, facing onto the lovely large garden, makes it the nicer option for my wife. Initially I was surprised at the absence of a TV in her room but, as time has gone by, I have come to appreciate that it's absence helps the carers oversee the residents. I particularly like that, when I visit and join my wife for lunch, the meal can be served in the bistro rather than the restaurant, making it a more intimate occasion. As for 'value for money', clearly Woodland Manor is expensive but I am hopeful of a reduction in price as I think the initial assessment suggested the need of greater care than is proving to be necessary in practice. The security of Woodland Manor is altogether better managed than my wife's previous care home could manage. I would recommend Woodland Manoir to anybody.
