View full details of Woodthorpe Hill Nursing HomeMy mum needed urgent respite care after breaking her leg. From initial visit to moving in was less than 48 hours. The initial home visit with Adam/Shabmeen was excellent and we were all treated with respect and courtesy. Mums room was light, airy and very clean and was overlooking the garden( yet to be fully developed due to newness). Staff were most kind and helpful, thank you everyone. My mum wanted specific bread for toast and this was accommodated and spoke with Betty the cook about specific meal requests. These were all accommodated too. Everyone was most kind to my dad who had 3 meals with mum, all generously given with no charge. Fantastic service. There were some teething problems with drains and shower rooms but were addressed. As mum was reluctant to ask for help we suggested that care be anticipatory rather than reactionary. This was acknowledged and actioned. Overall my mums stay at Woodthorpe Hill was excellent. Would recommend and would choose to stay again if needed
My mother stayed at Woodthorpe Hill for a weeks respite late September/early October. The home had only just opened, so I was a little concerned that she may be lonely as they were waiting for people to move in. I had no need to worry. The staff were so welcoming & caring, and she really enjoyed her short stay there. So much so that if/when the time comes for to need residential care she has decided this home would be her choice. My mum was treated as an individual, and all of the staff were interested in her as a person, and not just as a resident. I must give a mention to Shameem, the manager, who was very helpful from my first enquiry. It was clear that she really loves her job and has plans to make this home a lovely place to live. The decor & layout of the home is tasteful, and my mum's room was very modern and comfortable. Highly recommend, even from this short stay.
Woodthorpe hill has been a fantastic place for my mama to settle. They have been extremely welcoming and understanding they have also put our minds at ease and walked us through all the steps they take to ensure round the clock executive care for mama. They have been ensuring we have updates surrounding care and have answered any and all questions and have allowed us secure and safe access to mama upon request at any time of day and night. The staff really are good and helpful.
My mum came here after an awful 2 weeks of falls and hospital stays. From the moment we walked in we felt relaxed and just felt it was the right place for our mum. The staff are amazing nothing is to much trouble my mum was very anxious and I felt they made her very welcome. The home it's self is very nice and spacious very clean and very welcoming. The food is well presented and very nice. They have a beautiful outside space we're mum sits watching the butterfly's and squirrels. My mum has changed from being anxious and very unsettled since coming to stay. Not only has it helped my mum it has helped a very worried family and its nice to see her smile. We don't worry when leaving her.
