- Around 76% of care seekers said carehome.co.uk reviews were extremely or very important when deciding which care home to choose.
- 64% of care homes achieve an overall review score of 9.0 or above out of 10.
- 44% of care homes have an outstanding review score of 9.5 or above, with a further 20% scoring between 9.0 and 9.5.
- Staff are the highest-rated aspect of care, receiving more five-star ratings than any other review category.
- Reviews consistently praise staff for their kindness, compassion, professionalism and dedication, highlighting the vital role they play in residents’ experiences.
- Value for money is the lowest-rated review category across all fee bands, reflecting rising care costs and families’ expectations.
- Activities and food & drink are the next lowest-rated categories, suggesting opportunities for care homes to further improve residents’ day-to-day experiences.
