Overall Experience

Dudbrook House, staff and residents continue to flourish whilst providing ourstanding care, love and holistic therapy including access to prayer groups each week. Observing the residents, enjoying this service each week is such a blessing to witness.
The staff continue to be consistent, they work as

an efficient team, they are professional and pay attention to the detail to ensure that Dudbrook residents shine brightly with happiness each and every day.
My mum has been living at Dudbrook House for 11 months now, I can honestly say I feel blessed to have found this beautiful family home where everyone has a vision of family values, happiness, wellbeing along with unbelieveable care.
I am often amazed at how quickly the Team Leaders pick up on the start of a cold/cough to ensure that it is treated before it gains momentum.This provides such security for familty members, knowing that your loved ones are taken such good care of, is beyond measure. Dudbrook House, a league all of its own.

My mum very reluctantly went into Dudbrook for respite care in November 2024. This was a heart wrenching decision but we knew my mum needed expert care. This has been the absolute making of my mum. The loving kindness she receives is second to none. Each and every staff member is exceptional. She is

fitter, happier, healthier and feels very safe. The accommodation is wonderful, hygiene impeccable, entertainment great and above all the staff genuinely care. We are so very, very grateful to everyone who makes Dudbrook such a special place. Thank you

Simply put, we couldn't have chosen a better home for our mum.
All residents and relatives are treated like family, and you really do get that feeling from the minute you walk through the door. Everything is brilliant: food, visiting GP and dentist, beautiful rooms and garden, on site hairdresser,

cleanliness...EVERYTHING. There are activities happening every day in the home - games to play, massages, exercise classes, petting animals visiting regularly, entertainers, tea dances, mother and baby group, meeting horses and ponies, afternoon tea, pub lunches, outings to the shops, quizzes...the list goes on and on, and socially mum is having the time of her life! She is now so much more happy and content than when she was living alone. If you are looking for a home with staff who really do care, Howard Lodge is the one to choose. Absolutely exceptional in every aspect.

This is my sister is at Dudbrook House. Started in the old building then in October 2024 moved to the new Dudbrooke House. Dudbrooke House is a delightful place of place of peace, care and friendly support to my sister. The facilities are excellent the staff just fantastic! My wife and I plus my family

all agree that this is a great place to be cared for. It has security and support from a marvellous caring company. It has that lovely homely feel about it. Lovely and clean tidy and without any smell. Cheerful and bright.

My mother in law was in Dudbrook Hall originally and moved into the new Dudbrook house when it was finished. The old building was very tired but the staff were lovely so that sold it to us. The new Dudbrook house was built specifically for the residents needs and is beautiful. We always have a lovely

welcome from all the staff and know that my mother in law is being well looked after. There is always activities going on, although my mother in law isn't able to join in with most of those now. We are glad with our care home choice, which was a recommendation to us and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Overall Experience

Howard Lodge is a very friendly family orientated home, they continue to amaze me on how much care they provide to my mum and all the residents to ensure they have a happy comfortable and enjoyable life there. The staff are always welcoming and happy to see not only the residents but their families

and friends. There are always staff around to answer any questions and there are always plenty of staff on the hamlet for the residents. Mum has been out on two outings in January, a tea dance and a pantomime.

Overall Experience

We could not have chosen a better care home. The staff are excellent. Not only do they care for our mum but also care for the family as well, which we experienced when my husband became unwell, they were marvelous making sure he got home safely. Always laughing in the home, very clean, never a smell.

We have no hesitation in giving this wonderful home a 10-star rating and our full recommendation.

Lovely care home, with wonderful staff who are very caring. Lots of activities, great garden and well maintained. Summer and Christmas fetes are a great way to raise money and bring the care home community together.
I can't recommend the care home enough and would advise anyone looking for a care

With only a thousand characters it's impossible to sum up how superb Dudbrook House is, and my mother and I have nothing but praise and admiration for all of the staff here. My father was diagnosed with dementia 8 years ago and with its gradual progression my family knew we would have no choice this

year but to source a care home for my dad. From my first telephone conversation with the manager of 26 years, I already had a good vibe. Dudbrook House is a newly purpose-built building in a lovely forest location that is well laid out and offers everything that my dad needs and more. It is always nice to enter a bright fresh building, not one of the seven care homes we visited even came close to Dudbrooks hotel-like amenities. Each and every member of staff engages genuinely with you from the moment you are greeted at reception, every carer puts their heart and soul into the resident's wellbeing, and the management has also been so very kind and helpful to us, so thank you to all.

Overall Experience

My uncle moved into Howard Lodge in September 2023 and I worked really hard to get him here. It's a truly fabulous place. I have been here almost every day and I can honestly say, the staff are the best in the business.
All of them truly care and go above and beyond their call of duty. Had it not

been for the team leader in particular, who has truly given me some sanity and laughter over the last 9 months, (I sadly lost my Uncle on the 3.6.2024), I am not sure I would have got through it. In fact, all of you, bar none, are brilliant from the cleaners, carers, catering staff, reception and management and anyone I may have forgotten who is part of this special team.
So, please take this as a very special thank you from the family but from myself in particular for everything you did for my Uncle Don. I will never ever forget that. You are truly beautiful special people, one in a million and truly loved.

Overall Experience

I cannot praise enough the care of the staff. Dad was with them from nearly able to cope independently when he would go out to jazz club and meet his brother-in-law for breakfast to completely dependent as his Alzheimers took over. They were always so kind to him and all of the residents and considerate

and aware of his needs. As an ex-nurse in general practice for many years I have seen many care homes and this beats them all by miles. I cannot recommend them enough.

This review is to thank ever single member of the Howard Lodge family for the above and beyond care my beautiful mum received. We sadly lost Mum on 21/02/2024, but the pure dignity, love and kindness given to our precious mum is hard to explain. Everyone on Poppy are unreal. The night staff that cared

for Mum can often be forgotten, we will never forget the outstanding care Mum received. The front of house team who always take extra care of Dad are always there to greet and listen. The entertainment team and staff member who helped Mum through many dark moments. The two staff members who made sure we were all fed and watered. The laundry staff that kept Mum's clothes just how she liked them. The housekeeping team and the one staff memer who always made Mum smile. The management, who's door is always open. The beautiful toddler group that made Mum leave her room. So many names I need to mention it is impossible but to the director and management, your team are unreal. Thank you to the entire Howard Lodge family.

Overall Experience

Our mum has been on Poppy Hamlet for just over a year and in that time has thrived. When she arrived she was in a very fragile state both physically and mentally but now is a completely different person. All friends and relatives have commented on how well she now is and mum says she is so lucky to

be there and so glad we found this home (which was highly recommended to us by a friend). All staff are outstanding and go the extra mile and we are always warmly welcomed by everyone. We would highly recommend this home.

Dad has been at Howard Lodge for nearly a year and throughout, we have nothing but praise. The care and attention he receives is second to none. We as a family know and take much comfort in knowing that he is in a safe and happy environment. Sadly we are unable to care for him and his specific needs

at home but are grateful that everyone at Howard Lodge look after him as one of their own family and we believe he could be in no better place. I visit most days and all the staff bar none, whatever their role or responsibility know Dad by name and are always happy and friendly, not just with residents and visitors but with each other, which speaks volumes. Dad can be challenging both with his physical and mental needs but watching the staff with him warms my heart as their training, patience, natural caring passion and personal touch works wonders. Seeing Dad interact with everyone is priceless and we can relax knowing Dad is safe, cared for and happy in his new ‘ home from home’.

My brother who’s not the easiest person to get on with was transferred from another care home, he was very unhappy there and spent most of his days in his room plus the staff were not very nice.
My wife was under the care of Dudbrook's sister home who we just can't praise enough for their care and

compassion when we heard that Dudbrook, the new Dudbrook had vacancies.
My niece and I were bold over by the facilities on offer and the compassion of the staff and we were so happy to get him a placement.
He’s been there a couple of months and the change in him is just lovely to see, no longer stuck in his room he’s loving life being part of the Dudbrook family, it gives us, his family, so much joy to see him on social media having fun being stimulated and receiving wonderful care.
Thank you all the team at Dudbrook, we can’t praise you enough.
