From the moment I walked into Dudbrook House, I knew it was right for my mum. There was a warmth and vibrancy that stood out not just in the surroundings, but in the staff too. Dudbrook House goes above and beyond for residents and families. They're inclusive, welcoming, and foster a real sense of community. There's always something happening: activities, events, and enrichment that bring genuine joy. What meant the most to me was the personal attention. The staff are not only professional and attentive, but they take the time to truly know the residents and their families. In the 2.5 years my mum lived there, I had peace of mind knowing she was respected, valued, and truly cared for.

I am often amazed at how quickly the Team Leaders pick up on the start of a cold/cough to ensure that it is treated before it gains momentum.This provides such security for familty members, knowing that your loved ones are taken such good care of, is beyond measure. There are activities happening every day in the home - games to play, massages, exercise classes, petting animals visiting regularly, entertainers, tea dances, mother and baby group, meeting horses and ponies, afternoon tea, pub lunches, outings to the shops, quizzes...the list goes on and on, and socially mum is having the time of her life! She is now so much more happy and content than when she was living alone. If you are looking for a home with staff who really do care, Howard Lodge is the one to choose. Absolutely exceptional in every aspect.

We are glad with our care home choice, which was a recommendation to us and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

year but to source a care home for my dad. From my first telephone conversation with the manager of 26 years, I already had a good vibe. Dudbrook House is a newly purpose-built building in a lovely forest location that is well laid out and offers everything that my dad needs and more. It is always nice to enter a bright fresh building, not one of the seven care homes we visited even came close to Dudbrooks hotel-like amenities. Each and every member of staff engages genuinely with you from the moment you are greeted at reception, every carer puts their heart and soul into the resident's wellbeing, and the management has also been so very kind and helpful to us, so thank you to all.

been for the team leader in particular, who has truly given me some sanity and laughter over the last 9 months, (I sadly lost my Uncle on the 3.6.2024), I am not sure I would have got through it. In fact, all of you, bar none, are brilliant from the cleaners, carers, catering staff, reception and management and anyone I may have forgotten who is part of this special team.
So, please take this as a very special thank you from the family but from myself in particular for everything you did for my Uncle Don. I will never ever forget that. You are truly beautiful special people, one in a million and truly loved.

for Mum can often be forgotten, we will never forget the outstanding care Mum received. The front of house team who always take extra care of Dad are always there to greet and listen. The entertainment team and staff member who helped Mum through many dark moments. The two staff members who made sure we were all fed and watered. The laundry staff that kept Mum's clothes just how she liked them. The housekeeping team and the one staff memer who always made Mum smile. The management, who's door is always open. The beautiful toddler group that made Mum leave her room. So many names I need to mention it is impossible but to the director and management, your team are unreal. Thank you to the entire Howard Lodge family.

I visit most days and all the staff bar none, whatever their role or responsibility know Dad by name and are always happy and friendly, not just with residents and visitors but with each other, which speaks volumes. Dad can be challenging both with his physical and mental needs but watching the staff with him warms my heart as their training, patience, natural caring passion and personal touch works wonders. Seeing Dad interact with everyone is priceless and we can relax knowing Dad is safe, cared for and happy in his new ‘ home from home’.
