My mum has been a resident for 6 months now and we have been really impressed with the care she receives. The staff are always attentive, polite and go about their jobs with utmost sensitivity and empathy. We also enjoy getting the updates & pictures of the various activities going on at the home. We
could not have wished for a better home for mum.

Nice rural care home with very friendly and caring staff. Lots of events and entertainment are organised for it's residents on a regular basis. Possibility to sit outside when/if the weather is good enough.

I have been very impressed with mine and my Auntie's experience of the care received at Polebrook Nursing Home. During my visits there are always plenty of staff available to help & they all appear happy & smiling, & are engaging with service users - they are very polite to both visitors & residents
& extremely helpful in accommodating any needs or requests.
My Auntie has been supported to eat breakfast & lunch with other residents & to engage positively in a wide variety of activities and entertainment - which she has thoroughly enjoyed; as one if her main issues when living at home was loneliness and lack of access to social groups.
Polebrook is also very responsive to my queries at all times by phone or email & very organised & efficient when supporting my Auntie with clinical provisions or hospital appointments. Both myself & Auntie are so happy we made the decision for her to reside at Polebrook - it has improved her quality of life beyond words!

My wife was admitted to Polebrook 6 months ago for nursing care . She suffers from Alzheimers Dementia.
I am most happy with the care she receives. The staff are very attentive and like working there. This fact is reflected in that some have been employed there for some years and there is very little
turn over of staff.They are genuinely friendly, and committed to what they do. My wife has put on weight and is obviously very content there. The only slight criticism I have is the infrastructure of the building whilst still functional needs modernizing. I am more than happy to recommend the home.

My father moved to Polebrook Nursing Home late last year. He has settled in so well and is the best I have seen him in several months. I believe this is due to the excellent care he is receiving at Polebrook. The staff helped him to settle in well and continue to care for him in an enthusiastic and
caring manner which he appreciates. I am also impressed by how many activities there are to keep my dad engaged and happy.
I thought moving dad into a nursing home was going to be difficult for both us and him, but far from it - it is a pleasure to see him flourish and feel safe.

Whenever I have visited I have been impressed by the welcoming of staff and the general ambiance of the building
Our last visit was for our Aunt's birthday. A cake had been prepared with candles which allowed us to celebrate with her. I was offered a cup of coffee which was very welcome. The staff
bothered to wrap the cake for us to take away as we left.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all at Polebrook Nursing Home for the great care they take of my relative.
Our only issue was the struggle we had to get a parking spot in the car park!

Polebrook nursing home has been a shining light. My grandmother has been elsewhere where they were unable to care for her complex needs but at Polebrook it's not an issue at all. The communication from their management to my mum is regular and prompt. And I cannot say a bad thing about them. The best
part, is the carers, they all genuinely care and my grandmother is in their dementia care wing and they are all so kind even when she isn't to them. They treat her with dignity, respect, compassion and kindness. They talk to her and listen to what she says. They listen to us and appear to value our input. They enable her to live her life in a way that is comfortable and achievable. I have no faults but I do have a lot of gratitude. Thankyou Polebrook for being so caring and for always being exceptional!

My step father was in Polebrook from June 2024 to October 2025. He had full nursing care in the later stages of his time at Polebrook and I was more than happy with the care he received. I liked that we could visit whatever time of day or evening. There were always plenty of staff around. The staff
were lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, even offering us a drink when we visited, finding chairs for us to sit on. Plenty of entertainment put on for residents and family. Communication was very good too. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this care home to anyone facing the prospect of putting an elderly family member into care. Minor detail, ther is plenty of parking too.

the staff genuinely care about her and are always friendly to myself and the rest of the family when we visit

I have no concerns about the care my husband is receiving the staff are caring and kind. Visiting is no problem and I am often offered a cup of tea!
The parking is easy and the grounds maintained so outdoor events can take place in a nice environment.

Our father is always very clean and tidy and well shaved. The home is always clean and bright and staff very welcoming.We realise Dad isn't the easiest to deal with but everyone is so kind and patient with him. Following the latest episode with his health, we were made aware immediately of his condition
and kept up to date as things progressed. Whenever I make contact with the home I always receive a prompt response.

My Dad is on the Pathway and has 24/7 care now. He is cleaned, fed and made sure he is ok. The organised functions for residents & guests are superb. For all of this I & my family thank the care staff.

My aunt has lived at Polebrook nursing home since 2021. There is always a happy face on reception to welcome me and I have seen the staff show kindness and patience to the people they are caring for. I feel confident that my aunt is well cared for.
It would be helpful if the bedrooms were more wheelchair
friendly.

The home is so well run. The staff are welcoming, caring and nothing is too much trouble. I visit my husband daily and have never experienced anything untoward. I would readily recommend this care home to anyone who wants their loved one to receive the care they deserve.

I visit about four to five ladies weekly and there are always activities going on and entertainment. We are very lucky to have four to five activity people every day and one at weekends. Yesterday they had an interactive learning experience which entailed them bringing snakes, spiders and all animals
like that the residents always enjoy.
