My husband is in the care of your staff for respite care. He is finding it difficult to adjust, but the staff have been very patient and kind to help him settle. The first floor could be made a bit 'brighter' - maybe more colourful paint, bedding, and curtains would help, but all businesses succeed
with good staff. I understand the home now has a new manager, and I wish her well, and I hope the staff give her their support. Thank you to the staff looking after Tony, not an easy time for either of us parted after 63yrs together!
Reply from Janet Bolton, Compliance Manager at Foxby Hill Care Home LtdThank you. We appreciate your feedback. The home is under refurbishment and we hope you and your husband visit us again and enjoy our brighter environment. Kind regards

We has an excellent experience with Rachel. She took the time to understand Dad's needs and gave information and honest advice.
The staff are caring and compassionate, and Dad immediately settled after 4 difficult weeks in hospital.
Any queries we raised were addressed quickly. We could not have
asked for Dad's sudden transition to residential care to have gone any more successfully.
Reply from Janet Bolton, Compliance Manager at Foxby Hill Care Home LtdDear Caroline, Thank you, It is lovely to receive positive feedback. I am so pleased that our care coordinator, Rachel, was able to support you and help make the transition a smooth one. I will ensure Rachel receives this feedback. Kind regards

My father was looked after beautifully for 9 months in Foxby Hill. He was happy and safe - looked after in a clean and friendly environment, which is also homely. Staff are knowledgeable and compassionate regardless of their role at the home. I highly recommend this care home.

My sister was made comfortable after a very late night 12pm arrival home after hospital treatment. Staff and management were helpful and respectful to myself and sister. The physio staff helped my sister and helped regain her mobility. The kitchen chef was to be praised for excellent fresh homemade
cooking. Thank you to all the staff and management.

Although my mum was uncertain about living in a care home, she settled in within a couple of days. She is really happy and feels safe. She is extremely well cared for. Staff are always available if she needs anything. They are very caring and let me know if there are any problems.

My mum is in Orchard House care home and since she has been in there, her mobility has improved and she looks so well. Mum her own room, she has lovely meals and she joins in with activities. The activities are great and they are on every day. It's lovely to see mum and other residents joining in
. The meals smell lovely and they get a choice of meals. The activity staff keep families informed about up and coming events taking place so that we can loin in if we wish to. All the staff at Orchard House are friendly and polite. I am so glad that mum is in Orchard House because I can go home knowing mum is being cared for so well. A***** to all the staff for doing such a good job.

The Bungalow Care Home

It is impossible to convey just how amazing this care home is (and I have seen a fair few!). My Grandma was very reluctant to go into a care home when it became unsafe for her to remain at home. However, the staff at the Bungalow made Grandma feel at home instantly, their bedside manner and good humour
put her at ease and made every day a pleasure. Grandma soon got involved in the various activities the care home arranged - we even managed an Easter Egg hunt with my toddler and other family events. The resident cat and the pet days were particular favourites of my animal loving Grandma.

The staff at the Bungalow literally could not do enough to make Grandma feel at home. When my Grandma came to the end of her life the genuine care and concern the staff (from management to laundry) displayed was incredibly heartwarming and made such a difficult time slightly easier. Every one of the staff should be proud of themselves and the difference they made to my Grandma's life - thank you!
