It is impossible to convey just how amazing this care home is (and I have seen a fair few!). My Grandma was very reluctant to go into a care home when it became unsafe for her to remain at home. However, the staff at the Bungalow made Grandma feel at home instantly, their bedside manner and good humour
put her at ease and made every day a pleasure. Grandma soon got involved in the various activities the care home arranged - we even managed an Easter Egg hunt with my toddler and other family events. The resident cat and the pet days were particular favourites of my animal loving Grandma.


The staff at the Bungalow literally could not do enough to make Grandma feel at home. When my Grandma came to the end of her life the genuine care and concern the staff (from management to laundry) displayed was incredibly heartwarming and made such a difficult time slightly easier. Every one of the staff should be proud of themselves and the difference they made to my Grandma's life - thank you!

Mum has spent the last 14 months living here. Although rather reluctant at first, she soon came to enjoy the company of both other residents and staff. With some encouragement, she began to join in activities, and was soon looking forward to bingo, scrabble, choir, art.... From her very first day,
she has been extremely well looked after by a totally brilliant set of staff. And the staff don't just care for the residents - they care for the relatives too. It was a difficult decision to move Mum into a care home, but the staff have been SO supportive. I've lost count of the number of hugs I've had!!! It feels like they've been friends for years!
NOTHING has been too much trouble for them. Any medical issues have been quickly sorted out - in fact Mum has been healthier here than she has been for years!
I cannot rate this home too highly!! 5 stars doesn't really seem enough

The care that, The Bungalow Care Home, offered to my mother through until the end of her life was truly of such a high standard I am both amazed and stunned. My mother was not only treated with the utmost care and respect but the staff became regarded by my mother as family.
Nothing was too much trouble
or effort and listening to staff members treat residents as real people with professionalism and compassion is something most of us would wish for where we in need of care.
My family will be forever more indebted to this team of people for they enhanced and extended my mother's life.

I visit my 93 year old brother in law who is immobile and spends most of his time in his room, by choice. The staff very kindly and gently encourage him to spend some time in the lounge however he usually prefers to stay in his room. In my opinion the staff are very kind and understanding and find time
to talk and care for the residents. Care and hygiene is very good, meals and snacks are tasty and well presented. Staff are courteous, kind and caring.

We have been delighted with The Bungalow and the care Dad has received. I rang the manager in a state of panic when it became clear Dad would not be able to return home after a hospital stay. She could not have been more helpful and reassuring and that has been out experience with all the staff. A really

As local next of kin, we had the benefit of seeing this care home at various times through their working day and different shift staff, as well as by regular telephone contact with several staff and the manager. We witnessed attentive and caring people, knowledgeable, able to advise us, and we had no
doubt all were well-trained. I would have mentioned a few people in particular but that would have omitted many others purely because I didn't note down their names. Overall we felt extremely lucky to have our loved one placed at this care home, cut short only due to a health issue requiring a hospital check. We would have no hesitation if social workers made a repeat placement at this same home.

I am a relative of a service user who now resides here. My answers are only based on what I have observed, as the service user has only been there for two weeks. So far, from what I have observed, the carers are doing a grand job. They are so polite, and nothing is too much for them. Keep up the good
work. The service user is so happy and repeatedly tells me how nice they all are.

The staff were exceptional with the care they provided. Nothing was too much, all very caring. Kind people. The atmosphere within the home is relaxed and friendly. Like an extended family environment.

Mum-in-law stayed with The Bungalow for just over a week. Having felt very apprehensive she was made to feel comfortable and was taken extremely good care of. The staff were amazing - cannot recommend it enough!

Every time I visit here it is always a very pleasant experience. All staff and management appear genuinely caring towards visitors and residents. The care home is top notch with cleanliness, facilities, activities and most importantly safety and security. I would recommend this home.

My mother has dementia and now is a resident of The Bungalow Care Home. The home is exceptionally clean, and the residents always look well looked after. The staff, from the cleaner to management level are so approachable and really do have the resident's individual needs very well in hand.
I never
visit without seeing lots of staff, tea and drinks with residents always.

My mother is in the home, she has always been well looked after from day one. The staff are very good with the residents, very caring towards them. When I go to see my mum, they are so friendly towards me and my family. I have so much respect for them.

I found the staff at my dad's care home very professional and treated my dad with dignity and care. My dad was in need of complex care, which was met at all times by the care home staff. I found the staff approachable, friendly and knowledgeable and always made time for both myself and my husband.

Janet believes in developing her team by empowering them to achieve their full potential. She has supported members of the team to undertake additional training to become ambassadors and champions, this approach ensures they have the skills and knowledge to care for your loved ones.


Janet promotes a home from home, friendly and family environment for our residents and their loved ones, she believes the team, family and friends need to work in partnership to have an holistic approach, whilst promoting independence and enabling residents to achieve their goals.


Janet has actively developed bonds with members of the local community, this has led to several groups visiting the residents and sharing meaningful time with them on a regular basis.
