My Mother moved to Breck Lodge from hospital in March 2025 after a fall at home resulting in a broken hip as time was needed for her to heal. Although mum would have preferred to be in her own home, due to her age and frailty she remains in the care of manageress Emma and her team. The staff at Breck
have always given her the best of care with compassion and patience. The home is clean, comfortable, warm and friendly with freshly made home cooked meals. This is especially relevant to mum who loves her food!
The communication from the staff is also good keeping you in the loop which is very important to me as I know she's safe and well cared for. I also like the fact that Breck is a small care home which makes it more personal and homely to residents .
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Breck as the care they provide is excellent with a big thanks to Emma and all her team.

When my mum was a resident at Breck Lodge she was very happy the staff were very good with her. When she passed away management and staff informed me all the way and I was with her when she passed. Although its never easy when you loose someone the staff made it dignified and respectful

My sister needs help with walking, getting up out of a chair, showering etc. and often has confusion and incontinence. The staff at the care home are lovely and caring and understand what she needs and have enabled her to recover in a safe and homely environment. She wasn't well enough to join in with
all the activities but really enjoyed it when the singer came in. She loves the companionship of the other residents. Her room is a single room without an ensuite, but it has been re-decorated and is a nice room. She enjoys the lovely home-cooked meals and if there is anything she doesn't like she is given an alternative. It's also great that the hairdresser and chiropodist come in to provide these services. I can't praise the care home and the staff enough and I know my sister is very happy and settled there. My brother and I are very relieved that she is being cared for so well and do not need to worry about her anymore. We visit every week and are made to feel very welcome.

My father moved to Breck Lodge 7 years ago. He honestly couldn't be happier. It's a warm, friendly, clean, intimate place with the loveliest and most attentive staff.

Knowing that he is happy, safe and cared for couldn't be more important to us as a family and it is a great relief to know that there

is nowhere he would rather be. He has friends there and wonderful relationships with many of the staff.

General Manager Emma and her team have always handled his care (be it medical or comfort) with enormous professionalism, discretion and thoughtfulness. I am exceptionally delighted with the level of communication we get, especially if there is an issue. They are always right by our side and will always have my father's best interests at heart. I can't thank them enough.

Lovely, warm welcoming place, The minute my mother walked in she was made to feel very welcome. The staff are all very friendly and proffessional. They made my mother feel very special. The home is very homely and not at all clinical. The meals my mother had where all home cooked and of a good quality
and very nutritional.

I have lived in this care home for 6 years now all the staff are amazing a very friendly this home is only a small home and it feels very cosy and comfortable.I enjoy sitting outside when the weather is glorious and watching the squirrels run past. I am very independent so see to myself but staff are
always there if I need anything. It feels very much like my home now and chat to all the residents and staff.

My mother moved into Braeside during May 2025 and she seems very happy living here. I find that the staff are very attentive and caring. Various social events are held each month, I was there one Sunday afternoon when a singer was performing, and it went down very well with the audience participating
and singing along.

My partners Auntie was on repite at Breck Lodge and it was such a lovely home. The feeling as you walk in is so welcoming and warm.
My partners Auntie did like it but just wanted to go home as she was missing her home. The food was lovely freshly made and it smelt lovely.
The room she was in was
up stairs looking out on to the garden lovely view of the garden. The room was a big room with a little en-suite.
I would recommend the home to anyone and always have done since having such a close person living there for the short time she did.

My mother moved to Breck Lodge Care Home in July 2016. The management and staff all made mum feel welcome and at home. She was taken on outings which she loved, the food is all home cooked on the premises which mum enjoyed especially the puddings. Every week there is a visit from a hairdresser, the
home has regular live entertainment. This is the best care home in the Fylde in my opinion. Mum took ill in November and was admitted to hospital, the management and staff even went to visit her which mum thought was lovely.

After a long stay in hospital, she was allowed to go back to the Breck in palliative care, and again, staff were great and mum really loved them. They treated her with kindness and love and with dignity.
Sadly a few days after going back to the Breck my Mum passed away with family by her side.
The Breck management and staff were wonderful to my mother and have also been wonderful to us as a family since the passing of Mum which I will be eternally grateful for.
Thank you Breck Lodge.
