Overall Experience

My sister needs help with walking, getting up out of a chair, showering etc. and often has confusion and incontinence. The staff at the care home are lovely and caring and understand what she needs and have enabled her to recover in a safe and homely environment. She wasn't well enough to join in with all the activities but really enjoyed it when the singer came in. She loves the companionship of the other residents. Her room is a single room without an ensuite, but it has been re-decorated and is a nice room. She enjoys the lovely home-cooked meals and if there is anything she doesn't like she is given an alternative. It's also great that the hairdresser and chiropodist come in to provide these services. I can't praise the care home and the staff enough and I know my sister is very happy and settled there. My brother and I are very relieved that she is being cared for so well and do not need to worry about her anymore. We visit every week and are made to feel very welcome.

I enjoy visiting my mum at Braeside Nursing Home, knowing she is being cared for in the best place. The staff are brilliant making everyone feel welcome, nothing is ever too much trouble, all the residents are well cared for, it feels like an extended family, I would definitely recommend this care home.

My mother moved into Braeside during May 2025 and she seems very happy living here. I find that the staff are very attentive and caring. Various social events are held each month, I was there one Sunday afternoon when a singer was performing, and it went down very well with the audience participating and singing along.

I would highly recommend this care home. My mum has been a resident since December 2019. The staff are caring and kind and my mum has settled really well. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff make us all feel very welcome. There is a good team approach and the home is well run by the manager and all the staff.
