So grateful to all the staff at this care home for the love and care they gave my mum. Nothing was ever too much trouble . Mum was treated with love and dignity till her passing . Every member of the staff were exceptional. Even in her last days she was never left . Even I was supported . Will never
be able to thank them enough.

My aunt who suffers from mixed dementia, has been living at Woffington since October 2023. She is very happy there. She enjoys the food and the company there. The staff are excellent and very caring. The staff treats each resident as an individual. The rooms are kept very clean and the laundry service
is impressive. The manager phones me with any health updates which is reassuring.
Reply from Kole Grewal, Director at Woffington House Care HomeThank you so much for your lovely review and kind words. We are delighted to hear that your aunt is happy and settled at Woffington House. It is wonderful to know that she enjoys the food, company, and the care provided by our team. Basically it's my mother's personal care I feel needs addressing, sat for maybe a period of time when she has had an accident and washing and making sure her nails are clean and not dirty.
My mother wears glasses and when I visit her there is times when's she hasn't had them on and when asking where
they are they are either in the office or in her bedroom, she can't see see and they are her eyes, ensure they are clean.
Communication with family could be better.
Reply from Kole Grewal, Director at Woffington House Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your concerns regarding your mother's personal care, her glasses and communications.

We take all feedback very seriously, especially when it relates to the dignity, comfort and wellbeing of our residents. We will ensure these points are reviewed with the care team and management.

We would really appreciate the opportunity to discuss this with you directly so we can better understand your concerns and address them properly. Please feel free to come and speak with the management team at any time.

Your mother's care is extremely important to us and we are committed to making any improvements needed.

Williamston has provided a stable and caring environment for my gran during a significant period of change in her life. Moving into residential care is never easy, but over time she has settled well and now clearly regards this as her home, which has been important for her confidence and wellbeing.
The
staff are consistently kind, respectful, and attentive, taking time to know residents as individuals. Interactions are calm and dignified, with a genuine focus on residents' emotional wellbeing as well as their day-to-day care needs.
Communication from management has been open and professional, particularly around health matters, which has helped build trust over time. The home is clean, safe, and set in a pleasant rural location, creating a calm and reassuring environment.
Overall, Williamston provides compassionate and dependable residential care, and we are grateful for the care shown to my gran.

My dad has been a resident in Williamston since the beginning of 2025. He is under nursing care due to diabetes. He has been diagnosed with alzeimers and vascular dementia making his care quite different on a daily basis. Each carer works with his early morning mood to set him up for a good day, for
my dad this usually involves a singsong in the shower which lifts his spirits and I love that. Always a warm and friendly welcome when visiting. Fresh cooked meals which my dad loves as always looks forward to meal times.
Currently decorated for Christmas giving an even more upbeat mood. I cannot praise all the staff for their commitment to their residents.

Sadly my mother in law had to leave oakdale after been permanent for 18 months, as prior to this used to have restbite.
She had to leave due to needing Emi nursing, due to more advanced Dementia.
The staff here were wonderful like family,
Very understanding,
The manager and deputy manager were
very supportive always listened, and felt I could open up to them.
It was very emotional leaving people that was looking after your loved one.

My mother was placed in Williamston Nursing Home due to frailty, having lived on her own for many years. She settled in very quickly due to the attentiveness of wonderful caring staff, nothing was too much trouble and she was still able to make decisions for herself. She was welcomed as if she were
a family member and treated as such. I can't recommend Williamston enough. My mother even gained weight whilst there as she said the food was always lovely! Excellent home, excellent staff.

An excellent care home set in Rhayader, Powys. All the staff are friendly and caring. There is always a warm welcome as soon as you go through the door. For any needs that a resident requires the home gives 100 per cent to carry out their wishes. For example, they kindly hand made a special birthday
cake for my very good friend. I would recommend this home to any new resident and families wishing to have their loved ones looked after properly.

A family friend recently moved to Williamston Nursing Home and since being there she has done so well, staff are really friendly and provide great entertainment, the staff dress up as unicorns, Santa and a snowman to ensure everyone had a fab Christmas. Also, they are gradually redecorating the home
and the new colour scheme is fabulous and helps create a fresh look.

Mum became a resident of Williamston in February 2024. This was a hard transition for her, from living in her own home to living with others. As a retired nurse she can be very precise in what she wants to happen, when and how. The staff have always tried their best to accommodate her wishes, in a kind,
caring and friendly manor. Early in Mum's stay the home changed hands. The manager and senior nurse working together have made improvements in the standards of care being provided to my mum. The home itself has lovely grounds to use nice weather. The interior is quite tired but recently re-decoration and refurbishment has commenced. Mum has to have a soft diet which the staff try to make as interesting as possible for her, they try their best to tempt her with different things i.e. welsh cake. The activities lady has been off for some time and Mum says she misses that interaction. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness and commitment to Mum's care and feelings.

Having arrived in the previous month (July 2024) and settled in, I have found Williamston to be friendly, calm, and enjoyable. I was made to feel most welcome. As someone new to living in an environment like this, I was rather anxious about asking for things. As an example, being diabetic, I have to
be careful about what I can eat, so at my first breakfast, I requested to have Marmite spread on my toast. Profuse apologies followed, the kitchen had none in, but the next morning there was a jar of the spread on the table. It's been on offer every day since. Nothing seems too much trouble. That little gesture made me instantly feel part of the 'family'.
Many of the residents suffer from dementia, I don't, my mind is clear, but I do have trouble with my walking and balance and I am prone to fall. Nevertheless, the staff are all really friendly and are always able to help when I need it. To be totally honest, I can find nothing to fault.
Reply from Kole Grewal, Director at Williamston Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to write a review for us. Your input is invaluable and I continue to try my very best, to make this a home for all our residents. My team and I try very hard to make sure every need is catered for.
