A wonderful review to read, thank you for your kind words. Mum took some time to settle but we put plans in place to make bed time more relaxing with her hot milk and bath and it has worked a treat! It is lovely to learn that you both feel more relaxed, especially when leaving it can be hard however the team do a great job in ensuring Mum is entertained and distracted as well as relaxed and calm ensuring her anxiety does not peak. We all enjoy your frequent visits and chats with yourself and Mum, theres always a story to be told!

As other evaluations attest, we have a reputation for assuming responsibility and demonstrating profound concern for our residents. While rectifying past errors may be unattainable, I am fully committed to improving the quality of care our staff provides to residents with dementia. We have implemented a rigorous questionnaire that will allow family members to provide extensive information regarding the difficulties they encounter while providing in-home care for their loved ones. Additionally, we have considered a thorough assessment in situations where a family member is moving straight from their home to the residential care facility. Trish Mukandara is the Head of care at Penerley Lodge. She is conscientious, competent and a caring person who displays a friendly and approachable manner at all times; she also has the experience of communicating with a diverse range of multidisciplinary teams in a professional and diplomatic manner at all times and in a variety of different situations. Always expressing patience, commitment and tact in any given situation.
Trish joined Penerley Lodge in 2018 after previously working in the health and social care sector, specialising in mental health and palliative care.
