Both my parents have spent a number of years their twilight years at Antokol. My father passed away nearly six years ago and soon after, my mother followed him into the same care home where she currently resides.
I cannot praise the staff highly enough!
They treat the residents as if they were their
own family.
The genuine kindness, friendliness, care and compassion are to be highly commended.
I honestly do not think a comparable match to this care home can be found.
I consider myself extremely fortunate that my father had loving care and patience from all staff, as my mother is continuing to have to this day.

Our family was so impressed with the care Antikol gave our Stepmother in the last year of her life . Their kindness and respect knew no bounds . We loved the Family Atmosphere of Antikol it did not feel like a care home . We appreciated the parties thrown for the residents and their families . I would
highly recommend Antikol with no hesitation for anyone looking for a care home for a loved one.

Firstly I am always very nicely welcomed, when I visit Antokol. Whichever of the staff see me in the home always greet me kindly. There is a wonderful atmosphere in Antokol. A real 'home' feeling. It is always, without exception, very clean and tidy and well maintained, both inside and outside.
The
person I visit is very well cared for. I am regularly contacted about their wellbeing and any medical issues which occur. Any issues are dealt with immediately, which is very impressive. Most of all, I am heartened by the fact that all staff know the residents very well, know their individual needs and ways, and work around those.

My Mother became a resident at Antokol in January 2025. At all times I have found all staff have been marvellous. They have treated her with respect and dignity, even though I know her behaviour can be challenging. My family and I cannot praise this home enough.
Thank you for looking after her.

My wife was admitted on 31.12.2024 and remains there until this day. She is moderately demented, doubly incontinent, and chair/bed bound . .She is currently recovering from a severe chest infection that nearly took her life.
I visit daily with very few exceptions.
I was a General Practitioner for
more than 34 years.
I have closely observed a great deal of the care that my wife has received , especially during her recent serious illness.
I am fully satisfied with all aspects of my wife's care

I cannot recommend Antokol highly enough. From the moment my mum arrived, we felt reassured by the professionalism, warmth, and dedication of the entire team. The staff genuinely care for every resident, treating them with respect, kindness, and compassion at all times.

The facilities are immaculate

- every area is clean, safe, and welcoming. My mum is always comfortable, well-cared-for, and happy, which gives me peace of mind. The activities and attention to individual needs make this more than just a nursing home; it's a community where residents truly feel valued.

I am deeply grateful for everything the staff do each day. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will receive excellent care in a safe, friendly, and clean environment, Antokol is the perfect choice.

Antokol is a wonderful, friendly and caring home, I know my mum is well looked after. There are activities every week, lots of social events and family events where we can all be together. Everything is clean and well managed and there are always fresh flowers in the rooms. The home is a little bit
of Poland and gives you a real flavour of the country with the food and hospitality.

Having visited a number of care homes over the years, I continue to be amazed at just how good Antokol is. Way better than anything I have seen before. It is truly outstanding in every respect and has more of the feel of an exclusive country hotel rather than a traditional care home. The management
and all the staff seem to go that extra mile in the quality of their care, catering, activities and general standards to make the residents feel at home and part of a family. My mother has been a resident here for several years and my family and I have complete confidence in the quality of care she is receiving.

Antokol consistently delivers the level of care I hoped for when choosing a care home for my mum. The staff are always well presented, welcoming and so tolerant and compassionate. Antokol has a lovely, friendly atmosphere and it really is made to feel like home. It is always spotless, the grounds are
beautifully maintained and any jobs or improvements are carried out efficiently and with minimum disruption. There is always a member of the management team present, they are approachable and very willing to help. It seems to me that from the smallest detail to the serious medical care, everything is carried out to the highest professional standard and nothing is overlooked in trying to provide a comfortable, happy home for the residents.

My brother, sister and I have already written reviews for Antokol which were published in December 2023. Sadly our mother passed away in June 2024. It would therefore seem fitting to leave one final review. We would like to pay tribute to Antokol for the exemplary way in which they cared for our mother
during her final days and for the support they provided to us as a family. We will be eternally grateful to the team members for the kindness and compassion they genuinely showed from the day our mother entered Antokol to the day that she finally left.

Antokol has again provided consistent excellence in their care and service for my mother and I have indicated as such in every category listed and this also reflects our entire family's opinion. There is always a good friendly atmosphere in the care home. The staff are professional in their roles and
responsibilities and show genuine, wonderful kindness and respect for their residents. It is simply an excellent care home.

Mum has been at Antokol since March 2021. Everything about the home is first class, when we had to move Mum from her previous care home we had no faith in finding anywhere that could deal with Mum's needs but Antokol can. All the staff and management are caring and truly put their residents' needs first,
we are confident that Mum has found her 'home'. Although Mum is unable to join in with activities and spends most of her time in bed or her chair, the staff take her to the garden, weather permitting, or the communal lounge if Mum is happy with that. We visit Mum as often as we can and are always welcome by the staff. We no longer worry about Mum as we know she is very well cared for. The home itself is beautiful as are the gardens, where many events are held which all relatives are welcome to attend. I highly recommend Antokol.

Antokol is a little piece of heaven in Holbrook Lane Chislehurst. The manager is at the helm and leads a fantastic team. The environment is homely and spotlessly clean, it’s like walking into your own home. The HCA’s are professional in all they do, showing empathy, kindness and always going the extra
mile for all the residents. The housekeeping staff, kitchen staff and the gardener/handyman go above and beyond their duties. The atmosphere is upbeat and positive, the staff promote person-centred support and treat each resident individually. The staff know each person's little ways and what works and what doesn’t work for each person, this can then give family members peace of mind. Each resident's Birthday is celebrated with a homemade cake. The food is made from scratch and is delicious. I cannot speak highly enough of Antokol and every member of staff. I wish every nursing home was at the same standard as Antokol. Thank you Manager and every single member of staff.

My mother went to Antokol Care Home last year and spent ten months there.
The care she received was wonderful, it truly provided care and a home for her.
I witnessed so many gestures of kind thoughtful staff actions. The home is spotless, and the grounds are immaculately kept. The residents were
encouraged to go out in it, whenever possible and the summer house provided shelter, if needed. They used this more when covid rates went up. The staff encourage visiting at any time, as required. There is mass there, for residents who find comfort from this. The food is tasty and eastern European, but there are options for people at every meal. They celebrate birthdays beautifully and many residents are in their nineties and hundreds. The GP service has been incredible. And as my mother needed end-of-life care, she was able to stay in the care home whilst I received updates on her health and felt involved. Unlike recent experiences at the local hospital. Lastly, there’s a resident dog, Max, who the residents love.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.752)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.752) out of 10 for Antokol is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.977 for Antokol is calculated as follows: ( (125 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 128 Ratings = 4.977
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.775 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Antokol is based on 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 = 3.775
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 36 registered maximum number of service users is 7.2, which has been reached with 11 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
