Langley Court Rest Home

My brother has been in the home for 2 1/2 months and is very happy there. It is a good home, staff are very attentive and the manager is hands on and extremely helpful. G Bulmer

From initial contact, which generated a prompt helpful response, we have been so impressed by the care, consideration and effectiveness of the services offered by Langley Court. Every member of the team has impressed us with their smiling, generous and attentive manner. Their proactive approach is outstanding.

Mum found the staff to be very friendly and caring (excellent). However, since mum is usually independent she found some of the care for her needs a little over the top. She usually goes to bed around 11p,, so found the early routine somewhat frustrating. She said the food was good but spoilt because it was only warm or cold! Mum doesn't have dementia so found the environment a little challenging but, but she said it was an experience for her! Thank you for looking after her.

From the first day, the staff have been very kind & caring with mum & all the family I am so worried about my lovely mum, but the care she has received from all the staff has helped me to relax, knowing that she is well looked after. Mum's health & mood has improved greatly since she came to Langley. I am grateful to everyone there & to Iqbal the manager for trying to find a permanent room. I'm told I'm always welcome to visit mum. I go every other day Thank You Langley Court.

Since my mother arrived at Langley Court, the care has been excellent. Iqbal, Kinga, and the entire care team have treated her with care and compassion. They also helped our family through a very difficult period of time. I am very grateful for their efforts then and now.

I've been meaning to write a review of this care home since Mum died in March 2026. Mum entered Langley Court in December 2022. She had delirium caused by a severe chest infection and onset dementia. They took great care of her. She had a lovely room. To be honest I didn't expect Mum to survive for long as she was nearly 99. However, she recovered and was loved and respected by all the staff. Her dementia got worse and worse and by early this year she was sad, frustrated and largely absent. In early March she suffered a stroke. We made the decision not to send her to hospital but to have her final days at the home in her own bed. I cannot fault the love, respect and care they gave Mum in her final days. It made a highly emotional time much easier for us as a family.

Our families cannot thank the team enough for the care and kindness shown to our mother. Every single member of staff treats her with genuine Warmth, Dignity and Compassion. The atmosphere is Calm and Respectful, and they always go the extra mile to remember her personal likes and dislikes. We have complete peace of mind knowing she is in Such Safe, Caring hands.

In general everything and everyone is so supportive. From the time I have there, I have noticed very challenging moments, so well done to all in helping. The same goes for my particular personal reason.

My mum stayed at Langley Court for 1 week whilst I her daughter was away. Her experience was very good from her perspective and mine, and my family members who visited. The whole team were very caring and considerate to each individual's needs. Hopefully mum will be staying again in the near future whilst I am away.

My friend has always said how happy and well looked after she is, she says it is like staying in a hotel! She also says that there is plenty of nice food. I am treated with kindness and respect when visiting. On arrival I am welcomed and often offered refreshment. There is a happy atmosphere and all the staff are friendly and attentive towards the residents. My friend looks well dressed and has received good personal care. It seems a very well run house of peace and rest.

My aunt went into the nursing home at the end of September. We have been very pleased with the way she has settled in. The staff have been extremely helpful and kind. She is very happy there. The staff go out of their way to ensure she wants for nothing.

I live in Portsmouth and knowing the care that my mum is receiving from Langley court Rest Home is second to none and I fully recommend anybody that want their loved ones looking after , go there.

It is my intention to write a perfect review. When my mother first moved to Langley Court she (like many) was very reluctant to go to any care home. Early on she was a bit grumpy and the new way of doing things took some getting used to. Early on there were "imperfect" staff members. Now she is very happy. We are always touched, moved even, by the love that the staff show to here and the diligent care in every respect. 100/100 from me!!

The care home is the best. The staff are amazing - always tending to the residents with their best interests at heart. It all comes from the manager who is excellent at his job. I'm so happy my cousin resides here.

Following a bout of pneumonia, our 95-year-old Dad was transferred to Langley Court from Kingston Hospital as a step-down for four weeks, prior to going home. Unfortunately, the pneumonia and his advancing Alzheimer's had taken a greater toll on his health than was initially thought and he was assessed that he needed full-time care going forward. The question was does he stay at Langley Court or somewhere else? As his family, our visits to Langley Court answered that question. We could not fault Langley Court, the set-up, cleanliness, staff/residents ratio, and the attentiveness, compassion and respect shown by the care staff were excellent. We knew Dad was in the right place, he was happy and well cared for. We have no hesitation in recommending Langley Court to anyone looking for a rest home to care for their loved ones in their later years.

I have never seen anything but love, care and pure hard work from every single staff member. Going through one of the toughest times in my life. The staff looked after me and my family above and beyond. I cannot express enough of how amazing they looked after my dear Nan. I am so thankful for everything they have done. Every day and night the care all members of staff have for all the residents is unreal. I will never forget how amazing they have been and made an awful experience so much nicer to deal with. Thank you so much.

After a spell in hospital with a severe infection, the staff looked after her extremely well, tending to bed sores developed in hospital and then giving her excellent care for the next two years whilst she was immobile. I thoroughly recommend this home.

The care at Langley Court is excellent. Staff are warm, friendly and very attentive to residents' needs. If my sister or I have questions about our mother's care, the staff are very happy to answer. We are so pleased that Mum is so well looked after. We know she is in safe hands.
