Lathbury Manor Care Home provides highly personalised care for residents with dementia and a wide range of other conditions associated with old age.

As a smaller home, it prides itself on getting to know its residents and relatives well and going the extra mile to meet all care and support needs.

The home is set in a converted coaching inn and has lots of character and beautiful gardens, which are always accessible to residents.

There is a tea/activity room in the gardens providing an additional space for residents and relatives when visiting or to host family parties in.

Lathbury Manor has a full programme of activities, led and coordinated by a full time activities coordinator. It has lots of visiting entertainers and trips out whenever possible to the local shops, parks and theatre.

Family seasonal parties are always a highlight of the year for residents, relatives and staff.

We (my wife and I) have always found Lathbury Manor to be a place when my mother is content, cared-for professionally and happy. The staff make this so; with a positive approach to residents in their care. They "jolly" them along; we think a very appropriate use of an otherwise outdated word use. A
minor issue we have is the 'Visitors book.' We always check it to see which old friends of mum have visited, to least to thank them. May I suggest that one staff member to be responsible for its upkeep and tidiness?

My mother suffers from Alzheimer's disease and has been a resident for nine years. In all that time, I have visited very frequently and at varying times and have always found the staff to be professional, friendly, caring, thoughtful whilst maintaining a 'happy atmosphere' which is difficult to put
into words.

My mother is coming up to her 3rd year in Lathbury and loves it there. The staff are truly amazing with her and I am kept in constant contact with regarding her care. I am happy that I can call in at any time and if she is out of sorts there is always someone there to help bring her back to her normal
self.
