Accommodation at St Dominics is provided in 39 single bedrooms, the majority of which have en-suite facilities. Many rooms overlook the landscaped gardens. The first floor rooms are serviced by a passenger lift and stairs in several locations. The home has four bathrooms that are fitted with specialist baths as well as a wet room with shower facilities.
There is a large comfortable lounge and a panoramic conservatory which is used for residents to dine and socialise in. The home has a smaller lounge and another quiet lounge used for residents’ celebrations, meetings, staff training, etc. A hairdressing salon is available for use when not occupied by the hairdresser who comes weekly.
Meals are cooked on the premises using fresh produce much of which is provided by local suppliers. The team of chefs work with the Manager and Proprietor to ensure food is plentiful, cooked to a high standard. Residents are able to choose from a varied menu on a daily basis. Special diets can be catered for.
St Dominics has a good rapport with healthcare professionals supporting the care provided such as District Nurses, GPs Surgery, COPD and Parkinson's Nurses etc and Podiatrists

All residents joining us with a view to a permanent placement will start on a 4-week trial which is charged at between £1450.00 and £1650.00 per week. Following this initial period, a permanent placement will be charged on a weekly basis depending on the room and the dependency, if any, of the resident.
We are pleased to welcome respite stays, if and when, we have availability – minimum respite stay is one week.

My mother moved into St Dominic's in autumn 2025 as she'd lost most of her mobility, and care at home was no longer working. We've been extremely happy with the care and support that she has received since then. The staff are friendly and attentive, and there are always plenty of them about, and the food is excellent. There are regular activities to keep everyone stimulated, including sing-alongs which she loves. There's a real family feel to St Dominics and I've never been in any doubt that we made the right decision.

Relative had been resident here since May 2023. Prior to which I made an unscheduled visit to look at facilities etc. Senior member of staff had no hesitation in showing me around and answered all my questions. Home is well managed and all staff are friendly to residents and visitors alike. Facilities are very good, although not all rooms have private toilets. Monthly costs are high but are well worth paying for peace of mind to know residents are safe and well cared for.

I feel very reassured knowing that she will be cared for and checked up on regularly throughout the day and night. She is always offered the chance to be included in all the daily activities. The staff worked tirelessly not only to keep on top of basic needs but above and beyond to provide a varied, fun and interesting activity schedule. The staff are always attentive to my elderly father who visits regularly always offering a meal and/or a cuppa. As a retired paramedic, I had lots of experience with care homes. I can honestly say the staff make the home. My mym has improved so much. The food is outstanding, and the care is genuine and amazing. The home is spotlessly clean. I could write so much more... I feel my mum is safe and happy.
