There are plenty of activities and trips out if residents want to join in.
Thanks for doing the care home review. Its a pleasure looking after you mum and we are so happy she settled into the Adalah family .
Her room was freshly decorated, had new furniture and we were encouraged to bring in anything we wanted to make it feel like home for her. Mum has dementia and initially she thought she was on holiday. She has told us how kind everyone is and how well shes cared for.
There is always something going on from games, crafts, karaoke and now they even have ducklings that some of the residents help care for. They aim to take residents out at least once a week from cafes and restaurants, to the aquarium, to sister carehomes.
There is a relatives group where they upload photos of activities and keep us up-to-date.
We feel blessed to have been welcomed into the Adalah family.
Thanks so much for the review .Its a pleasure caring for your mum and we are grateful you choose Adalah care home .
From the moment I went there to see how it was, I knew my mum would be looked after for the time she had left.
The home is warm and welcoming from all the staff/management. It's very clean and secure. Mum had a lovely well decorated room, where we made it feel like her home with all her pictures and belongings.
Mum stopped eating a long time ago but they still tried and I was impressed with the soft foods, which was great as it was put into moulds to look like real food which I've never seen before. Also she only liked fizzy drinks and Maltesers in the end which if that's what she wanted she got it!
Mum was bed bound but they even managed to hoist her out and get her in the lounge most days, which seeing myself was like a military operation. She loved colouring in and I even see her making cakes.
All the staff are amazing and I can't praise them all enough for making my mums last weeks happy, thankyou all so much
Adalah is a really lovely home there are far more luxurious homes but at Adalah the care is top rate and that is what is important. My husband has not always been the easiest resident but the care both he and l have been shown is loving and good. They go out of their way to do special things for residents and relatives. Last Valentine's Day all the married couples were treated to afternoon tea in a beautifully decorated room. The other residents didn't miss out they had the same afternoon tea but in another room. They bring in singers to entertain and quizzes and craft times for those who want to join in. Also they take residents out for lunch or breakfast from time to time. I have complete please of mind that my husband is well cared for and happy. He tells me this would be a nice place for me to come
Thanks so much for the review and choosing us as a care home. It our pleasure to care for your husband.
Adalah looked after dad for approximately 10 months following a very difficult decision to move him into a care home. We were very fortunate to find Adalah. Dad was very comfortable there and the staff looked after him with care and compassion. Nothing was too much trouble and it was a comfort to know that he was so well looked after and that we could visit him at any time. Thank you for taking care of our beloved dad. The staff at Adalah are amazing.
Thanks for the review .Your dad was a true gentleman and we are so lucky to have cared for him .We will never forget the song we sung with him everyday .
Great home and fantastic team. The senior team listen are down to earth and approachable. Staff are honest, caring and committed. Medically trained and willing to go the extra mile. Activities are regular and fun. People go out to different restaurants, gardens. Family BBQ, fetes. Beautiful garden. Clean, tidy and secure. My dad lives here and I feel happy he is being looked after by staff who know what they are doing. The manager is the most honest, helpful and caring, understanding person. She changed our dad's life when she allowed him to live at Adalah and I'm forever grateful.
Thanks for the review .It our pleasure to care for your dad .We are glad to have helped to change his life for the best. We will always go above and beyond for the care of the residents and families of Adalah .
My wife was a resident at Adalah Care Home for seven months. She passed away on the 29th April this year, she had advanced dementia. During her time at Adalah she received wonderful care and love from all staff. I have nothing but praise for the care given to her during her final days and to the compassion and help provided to me and my family during this very difficult and painful time.
Thanks for the review. From the moment of assessment we knew your wife would be such a character and she was only with us a short time. We are lucky to have had the privilege of caring for her and we all have fond memories of her.
The staff at Adalah Rest home were all amazing and made dad feel so welcome when he arrived in April 25 sadly dad passed away june 25 and they were an amazing support and comfort during this difficult time. I would highly recommend The manager and her team they are truly wonderful and were like our extended family.
Thanks for the review. It was our pleasure to care for your dad he was a remarkable man and we just wish he had been at Adalah care home a longer time .
We were blessed to decide on Adalah, after a weekend of viewings, to find that they had a room available . Dad moved in and settled very quickly as the staff made him and us very comfortable and welcome. Dad was there for 10 months during which time he was treated as if he was at home. Food, activities and medical necessities all catered for. We can't thank them or laud them highly enough.
Thank you for the review .Dad was a kind and gentle man and we were lucky to have been able to care for him .
Adalah looked after our nan following a very difficult decision to move her to a care home. Staff at Adalah were fantastic from the very beginning, nan took some time to settle however staff were amazingly patient with her and endeavoured to make her feel at home. Nan settled in well and enjoyed the activities including the trips out as well for a nice lunch and a glass of wine. Staff were proactive when nan needed medical intervention and kept the family informed at all times. Nothing was too much trouble and it was ok to visit any time of the day. Nan had company every day, was happy and content, was treated with the utmost dignity and respect and when she sadly passed in November staff at Adalah were really wonderful and kind people who allowed our nan the dignity she truly deserved to the very end. Thank you for taking care of someone who was very very precious to us and thank you as a family for everything from the bottom of our hearts. You have an amazing team.
Thanks a lot for your review. Thanks for choosing Adalah as a care home for Nan. What a wonderful lady Nan was with a lovely personality and a great sense of humour. We will never forget the assessment and Nan's knee kicks and many witty comments to us. We only knew Nan a short time but what great memories we have of her. The Adalah team all have their own great memories of a truly great lady.
We instantly felt the staff understood dementia and would treat Dad as best as his condition would allow. On day one Dad was made to feel that he had arrived at a holiday hotel and this stayed with him throughout.
Food, hygiene, entertainment, support and the level of caring from all staff are at such a high level.
It has to be one of the toughest industries to work in, but I cannot thank all who looked after Dad enough.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for your review Lee. It was a privilege looking after him, he was such a lovely, kind and gentle man and thank you, to you and your family for choosing Adalah for Dad's care.
Dad moved in at the end of February and his care is exceptional, I am informed of any health issues and am always told if Dad has had any problems and I know I can speak to the team about any concerns I may have and they are dealt with quickly.
It does feel like one big family, all the staff engage with the residents and it is very apparent that they care for the resident's well-being as well as their health issues, which can be demanding.
Adalah feels like a home, not an institution and the residents are encouraged to engage in activities and each other, Dad really enjoys the trips out to restaurants the home organise and I appreciate that family and friends can visit whenever they want without having to contact the home first.
I know that Dad is well cared for and happy.
Thanks Ruth for your lovely review. Your dad is a true gentleman and it's our pleasure caring for him.
The care home has been amazing and has gone out of its way to help my husband settle into this lovely place. The staff go out of their way to make sure everyone is happy and looked after at all times. A difficult time for our family but made a lot easier by this wonderful home.
Thanks for your lovely review Anita and we are glad that you are happy with Adalah. We enjoy caring for your husband.
Sadly Mum became ill with a water infection and her dementia progressed quickly. The carers all did their best for Mum, but are not always supported enough by the local GPs. Mum ended up in the hospital but after clearing her infection we were told her Alzheimer's had progressed too far and so she returned to Adalah for end-of-life care.
The team at Adalah were so kind and caring in Mum's final days at the home. They really do care and supported us through - thank you so much for being there for us and our lovely Mum.
Thank you so much Natalie for your review. It was our pleasure to care for your lovely mum. We all just wish we cared for your mum longer she was full of character and we will never forget her smile.
All the staff at Adalah made my dad's experience moving into the home and passing a calm welcoming and filled with kindness. I have had previous experience with care homes which is why I rate Adalah so highly. The management team were incredibly supportive and they treat the residents with such care and respect. I was privy to the nighttime staff as I was with my dad and even then the staff were brilliant. I would recommend Adalah to anyone looking for care for a loved one.
Thank you so much Kerry for your review. Your dad was a wonderful man and it's a shame we only cared for him a short time.
My father moved from the family home to Adalah in Autumn '23. As a family we were worried that Dad's dementia and other complex health needs would make it difficult for him to fit in. Our worries were short-lived and Dad quickly became very fond of the fantastic staff at Adalah as did the whole family. My dad loved the people at Adalah. When my dad's health took a serious turn for the worse towards the end of spring '24 he was admitted to hospital for nearly two weeks. Adalah staff visited my dad in their own time to brighten his day and see how he was doing. When my dad started end-of-life treatment Adalah wanted Dad with them for his last few days. I accompanied Dad from the hospital to Adalah and he was so overjoyed to be back with his friends at Adalah. The staff made a profoundly positive effect on my dad and I am indebted to these fantastic professionals for the love and care that they showed for my dad.
Thank you for the lovely review and it was our pleasure to have cared for your dad. As a staff team we lost a massive character to the Adalah Family and we will never forget the stories and he will always be in our memories and hearts.
The staff were fabulous and kind to us all and we all developed bonds with them. We cannot thank them enough for all they did for Dad.
Would highly recommend this setting.
It was a pleasure caring for your dad. In 20 years of working in health and social care, I never been assessed on a pre-admission but your dad assessed me. Dad had a wonderful sense of humour and we were lucky to have got to know him even if it was only for a short time.
We soon realised that this was the best place for him and a relief to know he was in good hands and would be cared for and looked after so well. Sadly his health deteriorated and he was only there from January to April 2024.
The staff were so professional, and caring and didn't only care for him but got to know him and spent time with him. He was settled there and it was a relief to know he was in a safe and caring environment. The staff helped to make the end of his life as comfortable as they could and also looked after us at a difficult time. Thank you all so much for the outstanding care for my husband and all you did for our family. We are very grateful to each one of you.
Thank you so much for the review. He gave so much to his local community. We were the lucky ones to have cared for him and what a great sense of humour he had.
The staff, in every role, are all so caring, kind and extremely approachable; they are polite, considerate, respectful and understanding of the different circumstances that arise. There are times when the home has greatly supported me too and that is part of Adalah. Staff have also gone above and beyond when unforeseen circumstances have arisen.
In my experience, medical interventions have been dealt with promptly and thoroughly.
Daily activities provide mental stimulation and regular outings are arranged for the residents' enjoyment. Mum also appreciates the home-cooked meals, and cakes, plus in-house visits.
I have every faith in the professional team at Adalah and thank them all.
Thanks for the lovely review. We really enjoy looking after mum and she is a big character to the Adalah Family.
At her end of life, they were with her every step of the way and I am truly thankful.
The manager just goes above and beyond thank you.
Thank you so much for the review. It was our pleasure caring for your mum and we have many great memories.
