Adalah care home in Leigh-on-Sea offers care for older people as well as dementia care and respite care.

The home has 35 bedrooms and has large gardens at the front and back. Residents can bring their own furniture so their rooms are more personalised but the furniture will be risk assessed by staff to ensure it is safe.

Each of the bedrooms has a call bell so residents can contact staff if they need any assistance.

The care home has a homely and friendly atmosphere and staff are experienced and highly trained. They are compassionate and empathic with respect and dignity at the heart of their care.

The best level of care I have ever witnessed! All residents treated with respect and dignity! No question is ever a problem. Wonderful communication and a great spirit in the home. Clean and tidy, wonderful cooked meals. Felt like home from home.

Adalah is an excellent care home. Their skilled carers and other members of staff are completely focused on giving the best individual care to all their residents. The manager runs Adalah with enthusiasm and sincerity ensuring all the residents get the best out of their experience. There’s a good choice
of home-cooked food and the carefully chosen team are most helpful and have a very personal relationship with everyone, from the activities manager to the head nurse. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I can recommend this care home for your family members.

Our mother who has Alzheimer’s and Dementia has been in residence at Adalah for the past six months. I viewed 16 local homes before I found Adalah. I was impressed with the management on my first visit, their openness, professionalism and the tour of the home.
When Mum moved in she was welcomed,
all the carers have treated Mum with utmost respect and genuine care, even when Mum's behaviour has been challenging, and I have been there and witnessed their patience and empathy for Mum.
There is a lovely garden that is enjoyed in the fine weather and great activities, even trips to local shops and cafes and church.
We as a family now have peace of mind that Mum is being cared for by a professional team of carers, who go over and beyond for all their residents and the home is run by an excellent management team.

My mum has been a resident in Adalah for nearly 10 months. She has moderate/severe dementia. The staff have been wonderful. They are very caring and competent and are always talking to the residents and me when I visit. Visiting is allowed any time. The manager manages the home really well. Residents
can join in the various activities on offer and outings are arranged for the more able and mobile people. The staff always phone if there is a query/problem. Mum has settled very well and is happy and content, I cannot fault this lovely home.

My sister and I can't rate Adalah highly enough. We were in an awful situation of having to find a care home really quickly for Mum just before Christmas 2021and luckily we found Adalah. The staff are amazing and genuinely care about the residents - there is often banter between them which is great
to see. It's a reasonably small care home which is perfect for Mum. Not the plushest but it has a lovely homely feel which we feel is far more important than appearances. We are kept informed if they are concerned about Mum - the food is excellent and there are plenty of activities there for the more able. Mum is always clean and well looked after. Wonderful 1940s tea party earlier this summer for relatives to attend too. Such a relief to know that Mum is safe, happy, and well looked after. Would definitely recommend.

Our overall impression of Adalah is very positive, particularly in the last two years under a new manager. There were many improvements that our mother benefited from including more consistent care, better planning and vision for the home. During the Covid pandemic, we were impressed by the measures
taken to keep our mother safe and in contact with her family. In the final stages of our mother's life we appreciated all the support we received from the dedicated and caring staff at Adalah. We have no hesitation in recommending Adalah to others.

My Grandad was transferred to Adalah from hospital following a significant fall at a different care home. He struggles with dementia and was very withdrawn and immobile when he arrived at Adalah. He has received exceptional care to manage his symptoms of dementia and have supported him to maintain his
mobility and interaction as much as possible. The team have been understanding of our concerns following the unfortunate events at the previous home and they have supported managing his ongoing needs. Our family feel reassured that he receives the best care and attention, and they are quick to escalate any concerns to us. We were worried when my Grandad was placed from hospital, without having the opportunity to be involved in the decision-making process of which home he should go to, but can safely say that since he has been at Adalah he has received the best care and attention and we are happy that he is well looked after by a great team of carers.

My dad has been at Adalah since January 2022, the care and attention Dad has had is outstanding as it's been quite a journey for all of us and Dad. We are always informed of Dad's welfare and are quick to react if necessary, the care team are fantastic always ready to help if we have any worries with
Dad and have really put our minds to rest that he is well looked after.

My Mum was taken into Adalah during the Covid period after an appalling situation occurred at her previous home. Mum had been very very poorly in several hospitals with dehydration respiratory infection and acute anxiety disorder. After Mum was discharged from hospital and finally admitted to Adalah
both management and staff were attentive kind and understanding of her and our families needs. She was given a lovely ground-floor room with a window so our family could see her. I was updated daily on her progress and they very kindly granted me visitation and covid tested me so I could comfort and encourage Mum through a very difficult time. Staff are very respectful polite and professional. The building is currently going through some renovations to modernise which will improve things cosmetically. I enjoyed listening to and watching old-time singalongs with residents. Adalah has a lovely feel to it and I am confident Mum will be happy there on her recovery.

My mum has been a resident in Adalah care home for nearly 5 years. We are very happy with the care and support she has received throughout her stay and she is very happy there.
Knowing she is well cared for and happy in her self is a comfort and I would recommend this care home.
