Over all time Merlin Park has 8 reviews.
Merlin Park staff treat my mother with care, kindness and respect. They get to know my mom's needs and try to accommodate everything. Whenever I visit is see carers in the main living area talking to or caring for clients It is a really relaxed family feeling in the care home. We as a family are relieved to have my mom in such a lovely care home. Mom tells me they can't do enough for you and the food is also great!
It is with heartfelt gratitude that I impart my words for all the above and beyond kindness, that you have shown us. The pain of my husband going into a care setting when I have been his sole carer since his young onset Alzheimer's disease diagnosis has been truly heartbreaking. Each and every one of your wonderful staff has brought great comfort to our family. We can rest and know this comfort because he's in such caring, loving and kind hands. We feel a real connection and respect for you all and have grown to adore all your lovely residents too. A real family. Thank you for making this tragic event also bring a beautiful blessing to our world. Your staff are angels.
Merlin Park is a small residential care home accommodating 25 residents. The home is well managed. The carers are kind thoughtful and always go the extra mile for each resident. There are activities daily and the residents enjoy participating. The residents eat well, the meals are well-planned and nutritious. Medical care is on hand should the residents require medical review. The resident's rooms are well situated and are a reasonable size, each room has its own toilet. The home is very clean and well-maintained. Services such as laundry and cleaning are managed well. The residents have access to an enclosed garden which is well maintained and utilized well by the residents. My family have been involved with the home for approximately 2 years. Communication with the home is excellent and the team feel like family. My mum is a resident and is extremely happy in the care of this wonderful team.
My mother has been in Merlin Park for 5 years. She has received the very best care. I attribute this to the efforts of the manager and her team I am very grateful for all they do for her. My mother had her 100th birthday on the 6th of May. The manager and her team made it a very special occasion for my mother and her family. The manager in particular makes me feel confident that she is giving my mother more than just care. She shows compassion and love which is a rare thing these days. I would always recommend Merlin Park.
All residents are treated as individuals. Care is excellent and staff treat residents with kindness and dignity. I have no concerns about my mum while she is in their care. I would highly recommend this care home.
Merlin Park has been a warm, caring environment for my mother. She is very happy there. The staff are responsive to any question we have. They have excelled during this difficult time of the pandemic in providing in-house entertainment, although I hope as Covid rules lift, there will be more outside entertainment.
My mother tells me all the carer are her friends.
My mother has lovely and varied meals.
She is always clean and tidy.
She enjoys her activities even though limited.
The manager and staff are very good, they treat the residents as if they are their own relatives. If you have a problem they answer it (sort it out) straight away. My mother is very happy here and not lonely anymore. Everything is cleaned and smells nice, it is "home from home".
