Capel Grange has been a godsend. Over all the years we have visited Mum weekly and have witnessed only love and care from all members of staff. They have looked after Mum faultlessly, accommodating her changing needs. The family are grateful and appreciate all the hard work that the staff provide daily.
I only wish all care homes were of such high quality.
We were fortunate to be able to gain a place for Mum here once it was clear she could no longer stay at home. Mum had Alzheimer's and needed to be cared for. We lived close by so were able to visit on a regular basis which made things so much easier.
She was looked after very well and kept clean and tidy. We were encouraged to visit whenever we liked and helped, if necessary, to take Mum out into the lovely gardens for a change of scenery. Mum always enjoyed the patio in the summer and kept the staff amused with her determination to be outside. As Mum declined she was tended to with great respect and support called in if it was felt necessary.
We couldn't have asked for a better home for Mum to end her days. Sadly, with her dementia, she didn't realise what a lovely place and surroundings she was in, having lived most of her life in the farming community, but all her visitors were thrilled to find her there and know it was the right place for her.
Have been so impressed with the care and attention given, not only to the residents but also to me when visiting, made to feel like family. The staff are always on the go, always attentive and show amazing patience.
I was particularly impressed last summer when building work, extending the kitchen and the laundry room, combined with the very hot weather made life far more difficult for the team and yet everyone was calm and efficient and the care was as wonderful as ever.
The home is beautifully clean, the food is good and varied, with the staff offering options if residents are reluctant to eat, my mother is easy and wolfs everything offered!
Capel Grange was highly recommended to us by a friend and also the manager of another home and I would certainly pass that recommendation on.
The home is scrupulously clean and never smells. It has great views onto a lake with wildlife. The residents are able to sit outside on the patio In the summer where they have lovely treats of ice cream and cream teas. You can easily push a wheelchair around the beautiful gardens.
There are daily activities to keep residents stimulated; music, school choirs along with games and quizzes. Families are encouraged to join in for afternoon tea.
The food is freshly made with good nutritional ingredients with a varied menu. I’m always warmly welcomed with a cup of tea to catch up on how mum is.
I have no hesitation in recommending Capel Grange, its HOME from HOME, it’s the BEST!
My aunt has been treated with respect and care by the staff team, who are all friendly, welcoming and kind. She is able to do what she wants each day but also gently encouraged to join in the activities, which happen daily. The house is clean and her laundry well done. The food seems plentiful. Our family are very happy with the care and love the cheerful atmosphere of the house.
Friendly, warm and homely atmosphere with staff very attentive and actively engaging with residents. All seem very well cared for as do their rooms and communal areas.
My father was a resident at Capel Grange for 11 years, passing away in August 2018. I can honestly not fault Capel Grange. He was very happy there and was extremely well cared for by all staff and management. The care and attention he received during his time at Capel Grange was without fault. The care staff were like friends to him. They were efficient, attentive and friendly which made his stay there so comfortable. He always referred to the home as "home" and during his last days. the level of care and compassion were extraordinary.
Without exception, there are so many excellent staff at Capel Grange who obviously really care about the residents, their care, comfort and well being. I cannot recommend the home highly enough - well done.
Very caring staff and the buildings and grounds are lovely. My mother loves it there and that is what really matters.
We were so lucky, at very short notice, to find Capel Grange as a home for our Mum. The care and love showed to her and to all the family during the 20 months she was there, were outstanding. Whenever we visited Mum she always said how happy she was. The staff truly became part of our family. We cannot recommend Capel Grange enough.
A fantastic Care Home with wonderful staff. My Mother has settled in so well and is very happy to be there. The support from management has been both professional and understanding. I cannot recommend highly enough.
One cannot just walk in, the security is good. The hand cleaner bottle is always working. The register of entry is always presented. I like that, the place is secure. Any member of staff will tell me how my mum is on the day and where she is. If she is up and in one of the lounges I know her bedroom will have been tidied and her bed made. The place is clean and tidy. The staff are always busy....this is really noticeable...they are always hard at work. My mum likes the food, she likes lots of tea and there is always plenty of that. The manager always will give you time if needed, as in fact, all the staff will. Nice environment and there are things to do. They keep me informed if there are any problems. I notice there is plenty of "banter" and chatter going on and that is nice. I cannot fault the place and would recommend it without hesitation.
The staff were excellent. Can't praise them highly enough. They went well over and beyond what was expected. When my mum's situation became stressful for me the manager showed awareness of this and was concerned for my situation. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Very please with Capel Grange. They looked after my mother who had dementia very well throughout here time there. She was very happy being looked after by the excellent staff. They were very friendly and helpful and could not do enough for her. The home runs in a very "informal" way, encouraging the residents to take part in activities without being regimented. They treat the residents as friends.
I knew my Mum would still feel like she was at home. I cannot praise the manager and her team enough. Mum is treated with kindness and dignity and it is a loving place to be.
I know Mum enjoys being pampered by the visiting hairdresser and chiropodist.
The biggest praise goes to the caring staff and for the first time, I can relax as I know if there is worry with Mum, that I will be informed straight away.
This is a most kind, caring and supportive home who made my mothers final years very comfortable and happy. The staff did everything in their power to ensure her comfort and to support us as a family. We felt very secure leaving her in their safe hands. We could enjoy our visits knowing that after we left all her needs would be met. I would recommend Capel Grange to anyone without a moment's hesitation.
