Chipstead Lake, part of the charity Leonard Cheshire Disability, has provided services to disabled people since 1977. The service is purpose-built and designed to deliver high quality person centred support.
Chipstead Lake includes a residential home which is registered to provide support to 22 disabled people. The 22 rooms in the residential home are spacious and include overhead hoists, ensuite and views of the gardens. There is also Chipstead Lake Resource Centre which offers a range of purpose built facilities and activities to people living in the residential home as well as living in the local community. There is also a physiotherapy department which is air conditioned, has adapted equipment and is open 5 days per week.
The service is situated in the small, attractive village of Chipstead, 3 miles from Sevenoaks in Kent. Located next to Chipstead Lake Sailing Club, service users are able to enjoy incredible views of the lake as well as being able to sail on the lake in the summer and enjoy fishing, when in season.
The Leonard Cheshire Disability charity is highly regarded throughout the care and voluntary sectors for the contribution made to the lives of vulnerable adults, an extensive range of community support and a number of significant national campaigns.
