The Review Score of 8.1 (8.125) out of 10 for Fairlawn Residential Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.917 for Fairlawn Residential Home is calculated as follows: ( (11 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 4.917
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 3.208 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Fairlawn Residential Home is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:
The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3
ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 24 registered maximum number of service users is 4.8. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 4.8 = 0.208
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Registered Manager
Joined: 2023
I have been working in care for 20+ years. I first began working in a small care home as a domestic assistant. Very quickly I developed a passion for the elderly and their amazing stories of the past. I became a carer and lets just say the rest is history. I went on to become a senior carer, deputy manager then completing my Leadership and Management Level 5 to become a registered manager.
I am happily married with 4 children, 2 stepsons and a number of grandchildren. In my spare time I enjoy taking my two dogs on long walks. Most of all I enjoy holidaying in the sunshine.
Job Title: Deputy Manager
Joined: 2024
I am the deputy manager at Fairlawn and have been in this position since July 2024.
I have been in the health and social industry for 19 years. I started as a healthcare assistant to becoming a senior to the becoming a senior care lead. To now becoming a deputy manager.
I have experience in nursing, residential and many EMI homes. I have also had a couple years experience working for an ambulance service which gained myself more knowledge to be where I am today.
I have a level 3 diploma in health and social and I am working through my level 5 in management.
I am very passionate about my job in the health and social industry and ensure to go the extra mile with our residents. I believe that every resident should be treated on how you wish for your loved one to be treated.
I have been the granddaughter who has come together with family to agree that my grandparent required a 24 hour care setting, I feel that having being a family member with a loved one in a care home it makes you see things through relatives eyes and what you expect from a care home.
I am happily married and have been for 8 years. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and furbaies as well as catching up with family and friends and my gorgeous nephew who is my best friend.
