Our dad came to Fairlawn for respite for just over 2 weeks. It's our first experience of full time residential care & received outstanding service & support for all involved. Communication via their website was invaluable. Having the outside space was an added bonus. This home comes thoroughly recommended.
The last, most important point...Dad was happy.

Mum moved into Fairlawn in May at first I was very anxious whether she would settle in there, as such a huge change from being in your own home, or so I thought. Fairlawn is a small 24 bed residential home, and because of that the residents don't get forgotten or left unattended like some of the bigger
homes. I shouldn't have worried, about mum settling in, she is very happy there and absolutely loves it! In fact it is the happiest I have seen her in a long time as she has staff there all the time who care about them all as if they were their own relatives & love their jobs! They are all amazing, and very welcoming to everyone who walks through the door. They have activities each day to help the residents keep their minds active plus be able to mix with each other. Their menu is varied and very appetising! Any issues that arise or need sorting are dealt with straight away. I would definitely recommend Fairlawn to anyone looking for a place for a loved one to stay and call home.

My sister and I really liked the feel of Greenbanks from our first visit we were greeted warmly by the manager. She spent time with us listening to our concerns regarding Mum's care. She showed us the room that was available and the home, it was all clean, bright and airy, and had a homely feel. The
room was lovely with an en-suite shower room and a very comfy bed. We noticed how happy and settled the other residents seemed which was very reassuring. The food is home cooked, and mum enjoys her food. The staff are wonderful, all friendly, approachable, and go above and beyond to help with anything. The manager and owner do an amazing job and are always available to help and advise. It has taken mum a little while to settle in but now has nothing but praise for everyone at the home. Just knowing mum is well cared for and is now safe is wonderful and we couldn't ask for anymore.
Reply from Kelly Wright, Registered Manager at Greenbanks Care HomeThank you for the review, I understand how distressing it can be for someone in their own home coming into full time care and also how upsetting it is for families to have to make this decision, and that is why we try to make the transfer as calm as possible for all involved. Having Mum stay with us is a pleasure as she is the one that will get up to dance and jive with music and will encourage others to join in. Watching mum now after she has turned that corner she has settled really well and is part of the family here at Greenbank's.

I have been going to Fairlawn to visit a friend from my local church for over 6 months now. Visiting is always a delight not just seeing my friend but the whole experience. The staff are always helpful, very friendly and informative. I find nothing is too much bother for them. I often turn up when
the activities are going on where most residents participate and seem to enjoy it. My friend informs me that she is very happy there. Loves her room, staff and meals.

I am very happy with the overall care of my father. He has complex needs which are met completely. In fact, the team at the home go over and above to ensure he is happy and feels cared for. When I visit, I always get looked after and can certainly feel the warmth and friendly atmosphere from all of
the team. I particularly like how the place is made to feel like my dad's home.

When I first came to look at the Care Home in October 2024, the first thing I noticed was no unpleasant smells and how clean it was.
The care manager told me that their staff turnover was very low and their ethos was that this was the resident's home where the carers worked.
The care home was recommended
to us by a friend whose mother had spent time here and they were very pleased with her care and we as a family feel lucky to have found a place for our father here.
I cannot fault the care my father has had whilst being at Greenbanks Care Home, in Maidstone. The staff are very friendly, kind and caring towards their residents and are often seen doing activities to motivate and occupy them.
My father had a serious seizure which left him with vascular dementia before entering the home but he always says that he cannot fault the care he has had, enjoys the food and company and is contented, which is all we ask for.
Reply from kelly wright, Manager at Greenbanks Care HomeThank you for the review, it's nice to hear that the care we provide is acknowledged and that you feel Dad was looked after by the long-standing staff. We pride ourselves on a fresh environment when you enter, and making sure that the families feel comfortable when they come to see their loved ones.

Well, it's been since April 2024 that my husband was moved into Greenbanks care home. He is still extremely happy there and tells me all the time how wonderful all the staff are, I am so grateful for everything they do for my husband, nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. There's a brilliant
atmosphere with lots of laughter too, they like to keep all the residents happy, they have their best interests at heart. I'm always kept up to date regarding my husband's medication. Management is very helpful with any questions, and they are very welcoming to all visitors. Greenbanks is a wonderful care home.

Mum was reluctant to go in a home but after several falls at home and hospital trips it was the best and safest option for her. Greenbanks has a lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and is a home-from-home. Can visit anytime of day and staff make you feel very welcome. Mum is happy, looked after very well
and all her needs are cared for, which in turn makes all her children happy knowing she is being looked after. Would recommend, they really do make you feel at home; residents and visitors.
Reply from Asmeeta Varsani, Director at Greenbanks Care HomeThank you for the review. For families knowing that they are able to visit their relatives when it suits them is important and is something that we encourage, and for the clients to keep it as normal for them as possible to be able to see their loved ones. As always anyone visiting is welcomed with opened arms and a cheeky cup of tea thrown in.

We could not feel more fortunate to have had our dad spend the end of his life in the care of Greenbanks. From the moment he arrived, until his passing, the staff could not have treated him any better. We were always welcomed during visits and staff were super proactive in involving other professionals
in making sure he received the best care possible. Their links with outside agencies are exemplary.
The staff are a brilliant team and the atmosphere within the building top notch.
Thank you to everyone involved in caring for Dad and for the kind, considerate support that you gave us as a family.

This place is fantastic! I work in care and know this is the best place for my dad. I have experience of lots of different care settings and Greenbanks is second to none! My dad is really well cared for, he can be challenging at times but the staff handle him brilliantly. The staff are well established
and nearly all have worked there for a number of years which says a lot in my eyes. The home is lovely and clean, nicely decorated and smells nice (unlike many others!). The food is of a good standard with good variety and choice. The management team are accessible and open, they make time to talk to you if you want to. Dad is not one to join in with others but other residents seem very happy. No complaints and definitely good value for money compared to other care homes in the area.
Reply from kelly Wright, Registered Manager at Greenbanks Care HomeThank you for the review. We pride ourselves in a clean and odour-free home for residents and families to enjoy. Making myself available for residents and families to approach is very important to me and this shows that we are an open book and I am happy to discuss what people are worried about.
Staff understand that treating someone in Greenbanks with dignity and respect is a top priority. We will continue to do what we do and maintain the staff for many years to come.

The owner and manager were encouraging and extremely friendly. On first visit, before moving my father to this facility, my mother was shown around and even shown the kitchen!
The staff are always caring and friendly. The home is always clean and there is no smell of urine! They regularly have entertainment
and activities, including some visits out. They encourage development and independence.
My father is extremely happy with his care. He has always enjoyed a good range of food, indicating the food is good. Thank you for everything.

Greenbanks Care Home always made me very welcome when visiting my mother, it was definitely a home from home. Over the summer of 2022, they organised a minibus on two separate weeks when they took residents out for day trips, some local and others further afield. My mother who always loved an outing
managed to go on trips to the seaside, local garden centres and local parks. Coffee, cake and lots of laughs seem to be the order of the day.
Nearer Christmas a charity worked with the home and made some of the residents' wishes come true, my mothers being one of them. An emotional time but as a family, we are very grateful to the home for arranging it.
Reply from Asmeeta Varsani, Director at Greenbanks Care HomeThank you for the lovely review.
We all know Mum enjoyed her days out and for us to be able to spend that time with her was priceless.
Only having half a cake (not a whole one) so she told you made us laugh and for us to be able to care for Mum knowing how lovely she was made it all worthwhile.
For us to be able to celebrate the bagpipe player with Mum was amazing and knowing she enjoyed it was better.
She will be sadly missed.

Our mother spent the last 6 months of her life at Greenbanks Residential Care Home. During that time she was always treated with respect and affection by all the staff. Due to their care, her mobility improved, as did her overall health and she enjoyed a summer of outings and visits. When in November
her health suddenly deteriorated she chose to stay at Greenbanks rather than go to hospital. The staff at Greenbanks and the medical practice were marvellous, they ensured she had the medical attention she needed whilst staying in the place she now regarded as home. We were allowed to visit at any time and for the last week, one of her children was by her side 24 hours a day. During that time we were all impressed by the way the staff spoke to all the residents and to each other. As a family, we are all very grateful to the staff and other residents of Greenbanks for helping us to make the end of our mother's life as good as the rest of her life had been.
Reply from Kelly Wright, Registered Manager at Greenbanks Care HomeThank you for your review. The time we spent with Mum and the outings we did will always be in our memory, as Mum made these so enjoyable from sending you away from a visit as she wanted to come to the beach, to telling us please don't tell me daughters I had a whole cake not half of one.
The staff strive on making sure all residents are treated with dignity and respect and the families are treated in the same manner.
