My nan has been in Greenbanks for 7 months and she has improved so much. Eating, taking part in activities and look amazing. The staff and management are very open. If you are wanting a lovely home please consider Greenbanks.
I am happy with my dads care and the staff are fantastic.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a lovely review. We are glad that you are happy with your dads care. Our offfice door is always open is you want to chat. We will continue to provide your loved ones with the best possible care.
My sister and I really liked the feel of Greenbanks from our first visit we were greeted warmly by the manager. She spent time with us listening to our concerns regarding Mum's care. She showed us the room that was available and the home, it was all clean, bright and airy, and had a homely feel. The room was lovely with an en-suite shower room and a very comfy bed. We noticed how happy and settled the other residents seemed which was very reassuring. The food is home cooked, and mum enjoys her food. The staff are wonderful, all friendly, approachable, and go above and beyond to help with anything. The manager and owner do an amazing job and are always available to help and advise. It has taken mum a little while to settle in but now has nothing but praise for everyone at the home. Just knowing mum is well cared for and is now safe is wonderful and we couldn't ask for anymore.
Thank you for the review, I understand how distressing it can be for someone in their own home coming into full time care and also how upsetting it is for families to have to make this decision, and that is why we try to make the transfer as calm as possible for all involved. Having Mum stay with...
Greenbanks has exceeded our expectation. The staff are welcoming and friendly - nothing too much trouble. We believe that our relative has fitted in well and is happy and content.
A very clean and tidy home, staff are very friendly and interact will with the residents. Food all seems very good and varied. I would say a well run and friendly home.
I am very happy with the overall care of my father. He has complex needs which are met completely. In fact, the team at the home go over and above to ensure he is happy and feels cared for. When I visit, I always get looked after and can certainly feel the warmth and friendly atmosphere from all of the team. I particularly like how the place is made to feel like my dad's home.
Thank you for the review. It is a pleasure to care for Dad and the interaction with himself and the family is fantastic. Making each client's room personalised is important to us to make sure they feel at home and that they keep their individual personality.
The care manager told me that their staff turnover was very low and their ethos was that this was the resident's home where the carers worked.
The care home was recommended to us by a friend whose mother had spent time here and they were very pleased with her care and we as a family feel lucky to have found a place for our father here.
I cannot fault the care my father has had whilst being at Greenbanks Care Home, in Maidstone. The staff are very friendly, kind and caring towards their residents and are often seen doing activities to motivate and occupy them.
My father had a serious seizure which left him with vascular dementia before entering the home but he always says that he cannot fault the care he has had, enjoys the food and company and is contented, which is all we ask for.
Thank you for the review, it's nice to hear that the care we provide is acknowledged and that you feel Dad was looked after by the long-standing staff. We pride ourselves on a fresh environment when you enter, and making sure that the families feel comfortable when they come to see their loved ones.
My aunt has the best care available to her and I am updated on her wellbeing when I visit the home or by phone if needed.
They have lots of activities available from puzzles to days out.
Thank you so much for the review. It is a great pleasure to look after your auntie. Our staff take great care in looking after our clients as well as family members, ensuring that you are supported and made to feel welcome when visiting.
Well, it's been since April 2024 that my husband was moved into Greenbanks care home. He is still extremely happy there and tells me all the time how wonderful all the staff are, I am so grateful for everything they do for my husband, nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. There's a brilliant atmosphere with lots of laughter too, they like to keep all the residents happy, they have their best interests at heart. I'm always kept up to date regarding my husband's medication. Management is very helpful with any questions, and they are very welcoming to all visitors. Greenbanks is a wonderful care home.
Thank you so much for the review. We like to create an environment which is home from home. It's a pleasure to look after your husband he has a great sense of humour which makes everyone smile.
Mum was reluctant to go in a home but after several falls at home and hospital trips it was the best and safest option for her. Greenbanks has a lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and is a home-from-home. Can visit anytime of day and staff make you feel very welcome. Mum is happy, looked after very well and all her needs are cared for, which in turn makes all her children happy knowing she is being looked after. Would recommend, they really do make you feel at home; residents and visitors.
Thank you for the review. For families knowing that they are able to visit their relatives when it suits them is important and is something that we encourage, and for the clients to keep it as normal for them as possible to be able to see their loved ones. As always anyone visiting is welcomed with opened arms and a cheeky cup of tea thrown in.
After having my mum come from her own home with 4 carers a day, I am so pleased with the care that she is given now. All of her needs are being met and amazing staff. I couldn't have wished for better.
The staff are committed to giving the best care to each and every client that is here.
The staff are a brilliant team and the atmosphere within the building top notch.
Thank you to everyone involved in caring for Dad and for the kind, considerate support that you gave us as a family.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at Greenbanks. Ensuring the clients and families are happy is our top priority, making sure that we do everything possible including involving external agencies when needed to make sure that the clients receive immediate care they...
This place is fantastic! I work in care and know this is the best place for my dad. I have experience of lots of different care settings and Greenbanks is second to none! My dad is really well cared for, he can be challenging at times but the staff handle him brilliantly. The staff are well established and nearly all have worked there for a number of years which says a lot in my eyes. The home is lovely and clean, nicely decorated and smells nice (unlike many others!). The food is of a good standard with good variety and choice. The management team are accessible and open, they make time to talk to you if you want to. Dad is not one to join in with others but other residents seem very happy. No complaints and definitely good value for money compared to other care homes in the area.
Thank you for the review. We pride ourselves in a clean and odour-free home for residents and families to enjoy. Making myself available for residents and families to approach is very important to me and this shows that we are an open book and I am happy to discuss what people are worried...
The staff are always caring and friendly. The home is always clean and there is no smell of urine! They regularly have entertainment and activities, including some visits out. They encourage development and independence.
My father is extremely happy with his care. He has always enjoyed a good range of food, indicating the food is good. Thank you for everything.
Thank you for the review. Dad has expressed several times how much he enjoys the food and it is nice to see that nothing goes to waste. It is a pleasure looking after Dad and spending our days out where Dad enjoys entertaining us and having a good laugh and a lovely time.
Nearer Christmas a charity worked with the home and made some of the residents' wishes come true, my mothers being one of them. An emotional time but as a family, we are very grateful to the home for arranging it.
We all know Mum enjoyed her days out and for us to be able to spend that time with her was priceless.
Only having half a cake (not a whole one) so she told you made us laugh and for us to be able to care for Mum knowing how lovely she was made it all...
Our mother spent the last 6 months of her life at Greenbanks Residential Care Home. During that time she was always treated with respect and affection by all the staff. Due to their care, her mobility improved, as did her overall health and she enjoyed a summer of outings and visits. When in November her health suddenly deteriorated she chose to stay at Greenbanks rather than go to hospital. The staff at Greenbanks and the medical practice were marvellous, they ensured she had the medical attention she needed whilst staying in the place she now regarded as home. We were allowed to visit at any time and for the last week, one of her children was by her side 24 hours a day. During that time we were all impressed by the way the staff spoke to all the residents and to each other. As a family, we are all very grateful to the staff and other residents of Greenbanks for helping us to make the end of our mother's life as good as the rest of her life had been.

My mum has settled very well at Greenbanks. The staff are lovely and take very good care of her. The family are always made very welcome when we visit. We have been impressed with the amount of work being put into the building and grounds. Mum says the food is very good and has enjoyed several trips out in a minibus this month, including a day to Dymchurch.
Have spoken to family of two other residents at my husband's nursing home who recently got their marching orders from Greenbanks for challenging behaviour and I know of one other who was asked to move and is now out of the area.
The staff are lovely but overworked. I saw no indication of activities taking place and there is no garden to speak of - a concrete path up the side of the building. Unless you want your loved one to sit in a chair like a zombie all day then avoid this place. So grateful I was able to take my husband for walks every other day.
Nothing is too much trouble and they really took the time to understand my mother and her needs, as well as really getting to know the family.
If I could give them another star I honestly would. Any issues that arose they dealt with promptly and efficiently. I felt rest assured knowing they were on the case even during the pandemic which goes to show that not all heroes wear capes.
My father was served notice, no compromise or solutions. Unless you are bed bound or immobile this home is to be avoided! If you are happy to sit and look at 4 walls with very little stimulation this is the right place. Very disappointed and also very expensive for residential care.
