My neighbour has just moved to Greenbanks Care Home. She is very happy with the care and spends lots of time with other residents doing activities and going for walks. When I visit staff are friendly and always smiling.
Thoroughly recommend this lovely care home. The staff are very friendly and all provide an excellent standard of care. Both of my parents have and had a very happy time at Greenbanks Care Home both being cared for at a very high standard. I am so pleased that we chose Greenbanks Care Home and would have no hesitation in recommending them. Knowing that my parents were safe and happy is all that I could ask for.
Thank you for the feedback. Having husband and wife stay with us makes sure they are able to continue spending time together in a safe environment.
My great aunt was admitted to Greenbanks as an emergency placement after a fall at home. I cannot fault the care and attention the staff and management gave to my aunt or to us as a family. The rooms were the cleanest that we could have asked for her and were very comfortable for us when we were allowed to visit.
Looks after my parents to a very high standard. They have been very happy here.
It was a really hard decision in choosing somewhere for Mum to move into, but we were worried that with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and living on her own it was becoming an unsafe situation. Having visited a couple of homes I have to say Greenbanks Care Home was the only one to offer Mum to come for the day to see how she got on. When a room became available it was a very relaxed and easy move. It was all arranged by Greenbanks that the GP came and saw mum and medication all sorted (such a relief after all the stress dealing with her previous GP over the last couple of years). It took a couple of weeks but Mum says she’s really happy now, got to know everyone and feels having a routine really helps her and also says the food is really great. The staff are really caring and friendly and all the family visiting say what a great choice we made in Mum going to Greenbanks. Both the owner and manager are very involved and visible and have been really reassuring and supportive.
Thank you for the review. It is important to us for both the family and potential residents to know that this is the correct home for them and to feel comfortable.
The staff are absolutely amazing and show so much care and passion to the residents it is amazing.
Management is approachable and deals with any concerns we may have.
Due to my friend not having any family the manager and staff keep me up to date with any issues when we visit.
If anyone is looking for a super caring place to put their loved one please view this home.
Thank you for the lovely review. Our staff are compassionate about the care they provide and are always available to talk to families regarding any concerns.
What a wonderful residential home, my mother is here and it is such a joy to see how well she is and how much all the staff look after not just her but the rest of the residents. My mum has said how relaxed it is, they go on day trips which is nice. I, myself, feel like part of the family too. I cannot praise the manager and all the staff enough. So happy my mum is in here.
Thank you for the review we enjoy knowing how happy people are at Greenbanks and for a family member to say they feel at home makes us know that we involve everyone in what we enjoy doing, making it a home from home environment.
My husband and I were checked in (Covid-free app on phone) and friendly staff directed us to my sister's room while they helped her as she has severe MS to come upstairs in the lift. At the end of the visit, a staff member helped my sister back downstairs. They are always very patient with her disability.
My dad passed away last June, I had the difficult decision to place my 90-year-old mum into care due to her advancing dementia. After visiting many homes I discovered Greenbanks, a gem of a care home literally on my doorstep. It ticked every box - small (18 beds), it was calm, peaceful and homely, refurbished to a high standard. Most importantly, staffed by a genuinely kind and caring team. The owner is welcoming and approachable, a regular presence at the home. The manager does an amazing job leading a brilliant team offering reassurance and guidance to families and their loved ones. Mum has settled well and is very contented. I couldn't recommend Greenbanks highly enough.
Thank you for the review. As a care home, we thrive on making everyone feel at home. Management and staff are always available to answer any question that you may have.
In all that time at Greenbanks she has always received first-class care from all the carers and staff who have treated her with great respect and been very kind and caring. The home and her bedroom are always spotlessly clean and odour free and I can confirm that the meals are of excellent quality having had Sunday lunch with her many times!
The manager of the home has always been available to discuss and help with any problems that I may have had and it has been very satisfying that my wife has been welcomed to remain at Greenbanks as her dementia has progressed through the various
stages of her condition.
Thank you for your kind words, we thrive on caring for loved ones and making sure they have the best quality of life with all at Greenbanks Care Home.
Best Care Home I have visited. They are like one big family, staff are caring and friendly and very family-oriented. Resident are treated with care and compassion. The home is lovely and clean. It feels and smells homely. All the staff make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Management are approachable and will deal with any situation that arises instantly. I could not recommend this home enough for a family member to put their loved ones here.
Thank you for your review. The staff thrive in seeing the residents happy and enjoy creating a warm friendly atmosphere.
Dad has been very well looked after since being at the home. The staff are extremely committed to giving the best care they can. Every member of staff has been welcoming and also very professional. During these current times (covid), I have always been called and given up to date information regarding what has been put into place regarding keeping my family member safe. The home also put into place facetime calls, so I still had contact with my relative. The health and wellbeing of the residents is the most important thing and I believe the staff, manager and owner all have this as their top priority.
Thank you for your review. It's a pleasure looking after dad through these extremely tough times. Facetime calls are always available without having to book a time slot, staff are happy to chat as well and give you an update.
My friend went into the care home just before lockdown, due to not be able to visit the home set up a video call for us to be able to speak to our friend. We were able to contact them when we wanted to, the staff was always happy to accommodate us at any time. Being able to video call allowed us to see the progress they had been making whilst in the home. Pictures and videos were sent regularly of the activities they all participated in. One special moment was when the staff put on a panto our friend was over the moon as was we seeing them enjoying themselves and joining in the singing.
Thank you for your review. Doing a video call regularly keeps your friend happy and you being able to update her on other news makes her smile (glad you enjoyed the pictures of the panto).
Our dear Mum was taken into Greenbanks at the start of the Covid pandemic. She was only 76 and had been diagnosed with Primary Progressive Alphasia dementia approximately 10 years ago. Thankfully her dementia was slow progressing which meant we were all able to look after her in her matrimonial home with my father. Unfortunately, my Dad was then diagnosed with dementia which meant my brother and I took the lead role in looking after our dear Mum for as long as we could, she lived with my brother with my help for approximately 18 months. It was absolutely devastating to our family when our mum was taken into a care home but the transition was made as smoothly as possible, considering we were at the start of the Covid 19 pandemic the staff were absolutely amazing. The staff and management are superb and they have taken care of our mum like she is their own family. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the girls, they truly are such an amazing team, we could not have got through the last year without them.
Thank you for the review, it has been a difficult time for everyone through the pandemic. We have tried to keep everything as normal as possible to keep their spirits high and enjoy life.
Massive congratulations to the care home for helping our mum celebrate her 100th Birthday. The decorations and cake were outstanding, well done to the owner, management and staff.
Thank you for the lovely feedback. We take pride in the home and attention to detail, your family is our family.
Mum arrived when she was 100, she is now going to be 103. I think the care for Mum is second to none. From the first time we walked into the home it has always smelt fresh, the atmosphere is homely and all the residents are clean and not left in soiled clothing. It is a small care home with the emphasis on care rather then a conveyor belt for elderly people to be dealt with. Delightful, friendly and efficient permanent staff who also make time for the residents' families. When visiting we are treated as part of the Greenbanks family, always welcomed with a smile, no matter how busy staff are. Nothing is too much for the staff, individuals' needs are catered for on a personal level including dietary needs to ensure all residents are getting the right nutrients. Because the home is small and the fact they have permanent staff, communication between residents, management, staff and external professionals is excellent. Prompt action is always taken in regards to residents' health and wellbeing.
Accommodating the residents that we care for is the most important thing for us to achieve. Making this their home and a part of our little family is our goal. Catering for each individual is what we do best and nothing is too much trouble to keep smiles on their faces.
Mum spent 3 months at Greenbanks before her passing. She was well cared for and the staff were very friendly and caring and had a good sense of humour which made mum laugh. The home was very clean.
This care home should not be judged solely by its external appearance. The owner, management and family of carers are investing significant money, time and resource to make this small care home extremely welcoming and homely. Much of the home has been renovated to a high standard with bright and airy rooms. My father spent the last six months of his life at Greenbanks Care Home, during which time, the staff treated him with loving care, attention, respect and dignity. When we attended to visit my father, it was uplifting to see such a friendly, cheerful team of carers who clearly loved the commitment they were making to each and every resident, nothing was too much trouble and even the daily chores were undertaken with pride and happiness. The care home remained COVID free and demonstrated the benefits of small care homes whose management and carers are totally focused on the health and wellbeing of their residents.
Thank you so much for your kind review. The staff take pride and passion in their work, caring for families loved ones and nothing is too much trouble to put a smile on their faces. It was a pleasure to look after Dad and he will be sadly missed.
I am telling friends to send their relatives and anyone they know who need care to come here.
Thank you so much for your review and recommending us to others.
My mother has been on end of life at Greenbanks. I cannot fault the care and attention she has been given during this period. She was treated with dignity, even when she was unresponsive. Before personal care, the staff explained what they were going to do before touching Mum. They would just come in and stroke her hair towards the end saying hello giving their name. As a family, we were treated with equal respect and opinions asked for and listened to; treated with respect.
Thank you for allowing us to care for your Mum. She brightens up our days when she was in one of her chatty moods and kept the wagon wheel world going.
