As a family, we have been really grateful to all of the staff at Fairby Grange. They are all so friendly, welcoming and worked incredibly hard to make my auntie feel at home. She was looked after brilliantly and they accommodated her needs, always keeping us informed along the way with a tremendous
amount of support to us all. The home itself has a wonderful feel, with a balance of calm but at the same time, has a lovely buzz too. I only have positive things to say.

Fairby Grange care home is smaller than most and one advantage of that is that staff know the residents well and both the manager and the owner are very visible and accessible. This helps foster a friendly and welcoming environment. It also means that family members find it easy to raise any issues
and my experience has been that staff and management are very responsive.


The care plans for residents are regularly reviewed and are detailed enough to give confidence that the home both recognises the needs of the individual and are doing their best to meet those needs. The home is well staffed and their response to COVID has been good. My mum was in a different home to start with and we moved her to Fairby Grange as we did not have confidence in the quality of the care that she was receiving. We are very happy with her experience at Fairby Grange and whilst l rarely ever complete reviews l feel comfortable in recommending this home.

Fairby Grange was an amazing home for mum, mother-in-law and father-in-law. They had respite care there for 4 months and then moved to their flat. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law's dementia got too much for my father-in-law to handle so she went back to Fairby Grange. They made her feel welcome and
safe. She really did enjoy being there, the staff and managers were amazing with her, making sure every need was taken care of. Not only are they great carers but great bosses too as I worked at Fairby Grange for 9 years and still knew a lot for the staff when my mother and father-in-law moved in. I would always pick Fairby for my family's needs as they are a family-run home and truly do care.

Such a fantastic place! My mum is so happy and told me herself that she would recommend Fairby Grange to anyone! She has greatly improved since going to live there, and we feel that we have got our Mum back. She loves all the activities and entertainment and said the food is excellent. She told me everyone
was extremely kind and caring. From our point of view, we know our mum is happy and very well looked after. All the management and staff are very helpful and friendly. Thank you Fairby Grange!

My aunt has been at Fairby Grange for several years now. The care has always been excellent and when there have been problems they have been addressed by the staff very quickly. Being the size Fairby is the staff have a good knowledge of my aunts needs and her funny ways too. I would recommend Fairby
Grange to anyone as I have experienced other homes and they are a cut above with their care and compassion for their patients

Fairby Grange is a lovely home. The rooms are nice sizes with all facilities, the food is good, there are a range of activities for residents as well as on-site hairdressers but most of all the staff are all very caring, welcoming and friendly and really do genuinely care about the residents. My nan
is happy and well looked after at Fairby.

The home is very good and staff are excellent. The facilities are also good. The garden with the pond is pleasant and tranquil and nice for the residents to sit and relax. I don’t have any other comments as I am very pleased with the home.

My mother stayed at the home for a couple of years. As a son living abroad, I always felt relaxed knowing that she was in the qualified hands of the manager and all of the staff there. I chose Fairby Grange, not because it's a spanking new facility but because the first time I visited I felt welcomed.
When my mother went for a short stay, she felt at home and thus a week later moved in permanently. It was not an easy choice to make but I'm glad I made the right one. Mum sadly died this year but she will surely be remembered by all.

Fairby Grange is a beautiful building situated in a nice location. This is an ideal setting for an elderly person with little additional needs. I would not recommend this setting for Dementia care. The staff are friendly and approachable. I found the management to be uncaring and have poor procedures
and record keeping. I would recommend this home for female residents with no additional needs. My grandfather was one of only three men and the other two male residents did not leave their private room. I feel additional training and understanding of dementia would benefit the management to ensure they can correctly deliver the services they promote.

Fairby Grange provides care for both Residential and early onset Dementia providing a wonderful setting for residents to feel safe and supported during their time with us.
To support the care we offer, all staff, including Management, receive thorough training in how to best support residents suffering from Dementia as every resident is unique and has different needs.
We have a dedicated activities coordinator who encourages and supports residents to enjoy their time with us and provide opportunities for all residents to engage and participate in everything we do but understand and respect that some may wish to spend time in their rooms. After all, we want our residents to treat Fairby Grange as their own home, feeling relaxed and safe.

My mother has been at Fairby Grange since May 2019 and we couldn’t fault it. The home is always spotless and the staff are very friendly and caring, nothing is to much trouble for them. My mum has flourished since being there and is always smiling and happy. I would not hesitate to recommend such a

Staff are generally very good and provide an excellent service to the residents.


This will always vary between carers with the majority of staff having and displaying a genuine caring nature however there is still a minority element that sees it as simply a job and does not display the same care

My Great Aunt has resided here since November 2018, I could not be happier with the love and care which she has been shown.
All levels of care are done with dignity and are never too much trouble. I know that my aunt feels very happy and above all safe and loved, her feelings and wishes are taken into
account when making decisions regarding her care moving forward. The staff all have time for the residents and great effort is put into an extensive entertainment program.
I visit nearly every other day and am always greeted with a smile from the staff.
This is the 3rd home my Great Aunt has been in and I'm so glad we have found it.

The care Mum has received in Fairby Grange has been excellent and both her physical and mental health have improved markedly in the three months she's been there so far. The home has a warm, friendly and calm atmosphere and the manager works tirelessly and with never-ending enthusiasm to ensure the
wellbeing of the residents. The activities co-ordinator arranges an excellent range of events both inside and outside the home. The owner, manager and staff are welcoming, caring and hard working. It is very reassuring to know that Mum is in such good hands and is being looked after so well. Many thanks to all at Fairby Grange.

My father has been at Fairby Grange for 6 months and has been very well looked after. Fairby Grange is a very caring home, where the staff often have a chat and joke with the residents. There are lots of organised activities and trips out in their Mercedes minibus. Many of the staff have worked there
for over 20 years which shows their dedication and commitment to Fairby Grange and the residents. The house is very clean and well organised. I have received very good service from the management; with timely and proactive communication from them; and also a prompt response to my email and telephone requests. I strongly recommend this care home.

I am extremely happy with the care my brother receives at Fairby Grange. I feel their staff could not do more to make my brother happy and comfortable. His every need is cared for and nothing is too much trouble and I feel that at times they have gone far beyond what is expected of them. When my brother
goes through times of depression the manager takes time to sit with him and talk to him to help him feel more positive.


The home is extremely clean, the food is exceptional and staff unbelievably attentive. I feel I must mention the entertainment organiser, who is constantly trying to think of things the residents can do, and places she can take them.


As a family, we have experienced 3 other homes that have been dreadful and where I felt my brother was unsafe therefore we have a lot to compare Fairby with and there is no comparison. I would just like to thank all the Fairby staff and owners for being so kind, caring and thoughtful.

Finding the right home for Nan was a struggle.


After much searching, we finally found this wonderful place, with warm caring staff and excellent facilities. We initially had concerns over how well Nan would fit in, but we needn't have worried as she settled within 2 days, taking part in different

events and activities. She's also been out on day trips to the local garden centre for coffee and cake. A real treat considering she's been housebound for some time. This has only been made possible with the use of a bespoke minibus.


Thanks Fairby, I really appreciate everything you do for Nan.

Mum has been in Fairby Grange since August 2017. Although she has a dementia diagnosis, she is still generally physically fit, very sociable and likes to be active. I am pleased that, considering the wide range of needs and abilities presented by other residents, the staff/management endeavour to fulfil
mum's desire to be occupied as much as possible. The manager even found a local charity shop where mum works as a volunteer for 2 afternoons a week which she greatly enjoys and feels she is still very much participating in and contributing to the 'normal' occupations of life that she's been used to.


I appreciate that working in a care home can be very demanding but have found that the staff have always been helpful and cheerful and appear to seek a good rapport with each resident; I am reassured to have mum within their care and support.
