I am extremely happy with the care my brother receives at Fairby Grange. I feel their staff could not do more to make my brother happy and comfortable. His every need is cared for and nothing is too much trouble and I feel that at times they have gone far beyond what is expected of them. When my brother goes through times of depression the manager takes time to sit with him and talk to him to help him feel more positive.

The home is extremely clean, the food is exceptional and staff unbelievably attentive. I feel I must mention the entertainment organiser, who is constantly trying to think of things the residents can do, and places she can take them.

As a family, we have experienced 3 other homes that have been dreadful and where I felt my brother was unsafe therefore we have a lot to compare Fairby with and there is no comparison. I would just like to thank all the Fairby staff and owners for being so kind, caring and thoughtful.

Finding the right home for Nan was a struggle.

After much searching, we finally found this wonderful place, with warm caring staff and excellent facilities. We initially had concerns over how well Nan would fit in, but we needn't have worried as she settled within 2 days, taking part in different events and activities. She's also been out on day trips to the local garden centre for coffee and cake. A real treat considering she's been housebound for some time. This has only been made possible with the use of a bespoke minibus.

Thanks Fairby, I really appreciate everything you do for Nan.

Mum has been in Fairby Grange since August 2017. Although she has a dementia diagnosis, she is still generally physically fit, very sociable and likes to be active. I am pleased that, considering the wide range of needs and abilities presented by other residents, the staff/management endeavour to fulfil mum's desire to be occupied as much as possible. The manager even found a local charity shop where mum works as a volunteer for 2 afternoons a week which she greatly enjoys and feels she is still very much participating in and contributing to the 'normal' occupations of life that she's been used to.

I appreciate that working in a care home can be very demanding but have found that the staff have always been helpful and cheerful and appear to seek a good rapport with each resident; I am reassured to have mum within their care and support.

Staff are very caring and wish the residents to feel they are living in their own homes. The activities held to motivate the residents is excellent, from visiting singers, going to a knit and natter club and coffee in the local garden centre. The rooms are very comfortably furnished. I am so happy I choose Fairby Grange for my mother to move to.

A small family run Care Home, many of the staff have been there for 10 years +, all staff are very friendly, and caring, and I cannot fault any of them. Both of our parents were in the home, unfortunately, Dad died in September, and the care he received in his final days was faultless.
I would highly recommend this home. We looked at several before deciding, from the minute you walk in, it feels homely, just so glad we found it, just knowing that your loved ones are well cared for. It’s not an easy decision to make putting your parents into a home, but the staff made the process very easy, all the residents are friendly and look out for each other.

One big happy family, thank you.

My mother has been staying at Fairby Grange for 3 months now and every time I visit or speak with her via phone she cannot talk highly enough of the home, staff and care she gets. Nothing is too much trouble and they keep her entertained with various projects, games and if she wants her own quiet time then that's not a problem either.
Each time I visit the place is clean and fresh and staff always polite and on hand to assist or answer questions. I am kept up to date with any doctor visits and medicines.

I am very impressed with Fairby and would recommend to anyone who asks me about it.

This is the best home by far that I have experience of and since my father was in care with Parkinson's for 10 years, I am confident that this is a really good home for my Mum who has Dementia.
Mum has been there since April 2017 and she is really happy there and that's not just me saying that she says so herself!
You can see she is well looked after both physically and emotionally.
I visit regularly but always at different times so they never know when I am coming and I can truthfully say that Mum always shows the same level of care and contentment.
The home really goes the extra mile and their activities program really shows how hard they try to give their residents an enjoyable and meaningful life.
This is all great for me as it's wonderful to know that Mum is happy and well cared for. After caring for her myself for 5 years it was hard to hand over her care, but this home has been just what we both needed.

I have peace of mind in the knowledge that she could be in no better place.

I have nothing but praise for the staff and owners of Fairby Grange. It is a very friendly caring atmosphere for clients and relatives alike. It has a very cosy atmosphere and more like a home from home, which gives a genuinely peaceful feel.

I am more than happy with my father's care and more to the point so is he.

The staff go above and beyond the call of duty, showing empathy, compassion and respect to all the residents. I am happy that our family chose this home for my mum.

They say that you just know when you have found the right care home for your family member and that was exactly the feeling that we got when my wife and I first visited Fairby Grange. Good care in a homely environment that was so different from the other homes we visited on our quest for "the right place".

My Mum went to Fairby Grange 2.5 years ago for some respite after a fall at her home. After a couple of weeks she made her own decision to stay.

She has been very happy since, and often comments on how nice the staff are in the main, and how how she likes it there. She is now 90 and we are happy to see her safe, and well looked after as she could no longer care for herself reliably

Mum had a couple of falls and the staff were very quick to take the appropriate action needed to make sure mum got the treatment she needed to get back to her former self.
Mums not been easy for them as her dementia has been quite bad at times. The staff were amazing and have helped her get back to a happier place. I don't think she would be the same person had it not been for their support in all her struggles.

Can't thank them enough for all they do for her.

Fairby Grange is a very old Manor House which has a friendly atmosphere. It has a mix of compos mentis residents and those with manageable dementia. I have only ever witnessed staff being kind and caring to all residents. They do provide a range of activities but it is very limited with regard to those who have dementia. In my opinion, just having a chat over a memory book is very much an activity that can bring pleasure, however brief. The Dining room is particularly light and bright and the food cooked fresh. Residents who often congregate in the main lounge seem relaxed, well cared for and always ready for a chat. I feel my concerns are listened to and dealt with by management.

Fairby Grange offers a home from home environment. The staff are all extremely caring and attentive to each resident's needs and I know mum couldn't be treated any better than when she was living with us. It was the hardest decision we had to make after mum and dad had been living with us for over 20 years but having had a couple of occasions where respite care was necessary and mum was in Fairby Grange it was a seamless next step to make for her safety and wellbeing. Fairby Grange are always updating and keeping the home very presentable. There are activities which mum enjoys either watching or participating in plus her weekly hairdresser. Mum loves all the varied meals and has put weight on since being there. The peace of mind Fairby Grange has given me is priceless. I would thoroughly recommend Fairby to anyone who is having to make what is probably the hardest decision of their lives for a loved one.

A wonderful, caring home with the staff we feel are family. My brother-in-law is a very disable man suffering from both bone marrow cancer plus advanced Parkinsons Disease, he was so ill we couldn't cope with his needs but Fairby Grange has taken all the worry and look after him so well. The food is truly lovely too. We've joined him for Sunday lunch and really approve. If I'm even unable to cope this is where I'd like to be.
