I have been visiting Glendale since the 1990's for my grandmother then mother and currently my father. It feels like home and everyone is very caring and friendly. The place is well kept and clean and the food is excellent - especially Sunday roast! The residents are very well entertained with a weekly programme of events. I feel very happy to know that my father is very well cared for and is happy.

My mother was a resident at Glendale for two very happy years. From the moment she arrived, she felt at home. The care and companionship she found made her feel safe and secure.
As a family, we were welcomed and enjoyed many of the activities , joining her for meals and events .
As she became increasingly frail, the staff enabled her to keep her independence for as long as possible.
Towards the end of mums life, Glendale staff nursed her with tremendous care and compassion, they looked after and supported us, her family, which was so comforting. Mum was able to pass away at Glendale which she regarded as home , in peace and dignity.

As a family, we can't speak too highly of Glendale and express our gratitude to the staff, residents and management.

The manager and staff have once again organised their wonderful Annual Garden Party for residents, family and friends. The food and drinks were generous, the BBQ excellent, as were the singers who entertained us throughout the afternoon. Tributes were paid to past and current members of staff, allowing us to show our appreciation for everything they do for our loved ones. Staff continued their attentive care, making sure that residents were well fed, hydrated, had sun hats and sun cream, making the most of the window of sunshine, on a day when the weather forecast was for rain. It was great to see residents singing along to well known numbers, with staff and guests dancing too. A great family celebration which epitomises the ethos of Glendale Lodge. All hands to the deck returning residents, furniture and food indoors as storm clouds gathered. A fantastic event!

Another amazing summer social event for our families, I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about the staff and the home overall. My mum is so loved and well cared for. Her room is spotless, her clothes well looked after, and everything she could possibly want is provided. The programme of events put on by the activities coordinator is varied and stimulating. Registered Manager and her team are faultless. Thank you, all of you.

My Nan has been in Glendale or (GD) as our family refer to it since April 2024. All I can say is that life at GD is absolutely amazing, the staff are superb, every little detail is thought of to make life comfortable for residents. As a family it was a big decision to support Nan with her move however, from day one it has been excellent. The staff are all approachable and fun, they are always happy to discuss any suggestions and implement them without delay. As a family we always feel welcome, it feels like we are going to 'Nans House' with tea and biscuits always available and staff and residents to chat with. The atmosphere there is always upbeat, you can hear people laughing which Nan finds really comforting. Nan is always saying how good to food is! I can vouch for this as family members can book in for lunch (for a minimal fee) and enjoy lunch together! The activities and entertainment are fun, bingo, board games, arts and crafts to name a few. Well done team GD"

There are not enough superlatives to describe what a WONDERFUL place Glendale Lodge is. As soon as you cross the threshold, you are immediately struck by the uplifting, happy atmosphere. You can tell how much the lovely staff genuinely care, for both residents and their visitors alike and nothing is too much trouble. The whole place is absolutely spotless and the food that is prepared for residents is home cooked to perfection and always looks very appetising. It is SO reassuring to know that your loved ones are in such kind, safe and capable hands and I am so grateful for the TLC the staff there bestow, they are all ABSOLUTE angels and Glendale Lodge are very lucky to have them in their employ
