There is always a warm welcome for visitors to Island Sands. The staff is a combination of mature and experienced carers and a young and enthusiastic group, the combinations work well. The premises are modern, brighter and wisely constructed for disabled residents. Occasional trips are enjoyed by the
residents, for example, for personal shopping. My daughter is happy with the home at Island Sands - most of the time!

We take on board your rating regarding the cleanliness of the home and will feed this back to the housekeeping team. Despite our best efforts, it is inevitable that building dust settles during a period of refurbishment. May I also take this opportunity to say what a pleasure it is to be looking after and supporting your daughter. We are pleased to hear that she is happy most of the time, it is always difficult to come to terms with living away from home and living in residential services, however I am happy to hear that with staff support this is having a positive outcome.

What an amazing turn-around! Such a lovely place for my loved one to be in! Very caring and person centred. Hats off to the staff and the management, they have worked hard to get to where they are today.

To be honest, I cannot rate the Little Oyster high enough. The assistance and friendliness of the staff is over and above the call of duty. Since our family member has been resident there, he has really blossomed and come out of his shell. He couldn't be in a better place.
