Advised that Mum had a hacking cough - Paramedics were called but decided Mum required antibiotics rather than hospitalisation - collected them and delivered and staff looked after Mum administering medication etc.

The Admiralty Care Home is a geat example of how a care home should be. It is welcoming, clean, tidy, well provisioned and has a dedicated team to ensure that Mum is looked after. The only slightly negative comments are that the general temperature in the home and in mum's room in particular is too high and the introduction of the lift code was unfortuante (although necessary) for those like Mum whose movement is a bit more restricted. Overall myself and the family are very pleased with the care Mum is receiving although she is taking a while to fully settle. Keep up the good work!

My relative is very settled in the care home, the staff are very friendly and take the time to speak to him when they enter his room. Staff take the time to get to know the residents and their families and they look after the residents.

We feel very grateful for Mum to have moved here. Mum was made to feel very welcome as soon as she arrived at reception. All the staff are extremely friendly and supportive. Everyone we met on that first day were exceptionally helpful and welcoming - whether it was the Management Team, Admin & Reception Team, Care Team, Building Maintenance Team, Activities Team or Housekeeping Team. Mum's room was scrupulously clean and is very cosy, so she already feels "at home". On Mum's first evening, the Deputy Manager was extremely thoughtful as she kindly emailed a photo of Mum laughing. We can't tell you how appreciative we were and how reassuring that was knowing that Mum was happy. The empathic sensitivity of the staff we have met so far is very clear. This has helped enormously for enabling Mum to adapt seamlessly to her new surroundings. With huge thanks to everyone. .

The staff are always happy and smiling when I visit my mother. They are also very patient with my mother, as she can be difficult at the best of times.
The rooms are clean and tidy, and washing is kept up to date. Staff are on hand to assist or answer any questions regarding the care for my mother.

Overall highly pleased with the care home for my mother.

My wife has been a resident at Admiralty care home in Wigmore Gillingham for more than three and a half years and I visit her almost every day. I find the staff to be very friendly and caring and they greet me in a most welcoming way. The management team is approachable and reactive when required. In addition, there is a good range of stimulating social interaction. The home is fragrant and clean and parking is an acceptable part of the overall package.

My mother 98 had been in Admiralty since November 2024 after suffering from Dementia and having had a slight stroke when it became impossible for her to live independently. From day one she settled in and this was due to the care that she received from the lovely carers and the home Manager. The home has gone through a complete renovation and provided a lovely upgraded environment for the residents. Majority of the residents eat an excellent lunch in the dinning room everyday cooked fresh by the kitchen team, who are so obliging to individual needs. Then various activities are provided daily which I must say I've joined in numerous times and are great fun and give the residents pleasure.to take part if they wish. The care team in mums case were absolutely amazing they actually loved her and she them the bond she had formed with them for me as her daughter was so appreciated to know they took care of her as I wanted her to be cared for and I visited her every day.

The staff are excellent , friendly and welcoming .
My mother in law receives good care however I think it is a shame she doesn't appear to be wheeled into the communal areas anymore and is always in her room .
I understand that this may be as a result of her not understanding and a reluctance to be moved but we feel it would enhance her day if she could "
Join in" with some of the activities

I never see her in the photos on the social media site. It is always the same residents

Overall Admiralty Care home have been good, the daytime staff are very good and have a good rapport with my relative. My relative feeds back that the food is very good and the staff very kind.
On the down side it seems to me that the night staff are not so attentive as when my relative phoned me to tell me she was not well, we found that they were slow to respond and did so after I phoned twice to get them to action, eventually I had to take matters into my own hands and call an ambulance.

Also I have concerns regarding my relatives personal hygiene and concerns regarding the fact that she has had scabies for several months and that only recently has PPE been put into place.

Thank you for your feedback. We're really glad to hear that you're happy with the daytime team and the rapport they have with your relative, as well as the quality of food. I am the daughter of a resident at Admiralty care home. Overall happy with the care provided. Located near our family and provides care for the elderly with dementia.
The home has undertaken a lot of positive changes in the past year.
On the whole the staff are friendly, more care staff needed as understaffed and overworked. Doesn't seem to be good staff to resident ratio.
Home is kept adequately clean, there is room for improvement.
Activities are well organised, residents seem to enjoy taking part.
Rooms vary, mum's is a good size with views over the lovely garden where in the warmer moths is a good place to sit, more fresh air always good, as would outings.
Food always looks good and tasty with a varied choice, the dining area is roomy and bright.
Communication with the management team is good and queries addressed.

Would recommend the home and grateful for the care provided

I just wanted to drop you a quick line to thank your staff for all their help with mum today. As requested, she looked lovely for her trip out to the hospital and when she saw her daughter later in the day, she commented on how well she looked. We greatly appreciated this as her youngest daughter has been quite unwell for some time now and seeing her mum look so healthy gave her a real lift. The care staff helped us manoeuvre mum into the car and we learnt a lot from the techniques that were used, and we are hoping that this will result in us being able to take her out more often. Please pass on my thanks to your wonderful team who always treat mum with care and respect.

My dad had been a resident at Rogers House Care Home for over four years until his death in 2022 (July). He was always treated with dignity and the utmost respect. Not always the most op-operative of residents. He was always clean, fresh, dressed and cared for beautifully. His room was always clean and tidy smelling fresh and comfortable. Every single member of staff were friendly, supportive, accommodating and professional throughout Dad's time in the home, towards both him and his family. As dad deteriorated and his Alzheimers/Dementia took him away from us Rogers House became his home, safety and family, something we were forever grateful for. Thank you.

Mum has been well cared for since moving to Rogers House during lockdown in October 2020. Unfortunately, covid meant that visiting was limited till earlier this year but overall mum seems happy in Rogers House. Staff shower her every day and she is quite happy with the food and also takes part in as many activities as she is able to. The manager keeps us informed of any changes to procedures as a result of covid including visiting arrangements and any lockdown consequences. Unable to fully review some areas as, due to covid, not seen the home in full.
