Nightingale Care and Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Myself and my two brothers visited my aunt at the home yesterday afternoon. The care staff we met were all of them very helpful indeed and showed great care and concern for our needs and those of my aunt throughout our visit. I regularly phone my aunt, as I have this month too, and I can say that our
needs are always well catered for and staff are always very caring and attentive. My aunt receives the best care she could at this home.

worries I may have. I am so grateful and appreciative to all the staff members for their care and kindness they show to myself and my mum.

Mum became a resident at Rose Court a year ago due to the progression of her dementia. It took a long while for her settle and for us to understand the workings there. As a daily visitor Ive got to know the staff on her floor who care for her. And from the team leaders to the carers and even the domestic
worked, they have always been professional and caring. Due to mums dietary needs Ive interacted with the kitchen who have accommodated with what she needs. Mum loves the church services but does not always take part in all activities, but enjoys it when she does. She has her hair done regularly and has seen the GP often when needed. Recently we requested a room change to another that suited mums needs better, and management obliged with very little fuss. What I feel has been rea;;y important is the continuity of staff. There has been no agency cover needed and allowed the carers and mum to get to know each other. Overall we're happy with Rose Court and so is mum - she is 87 years old.

Generally find the staff helpful and caring. My father appears to be content. The only minor issue is the laundry, although clearly marked with his name clothes get muddled!
Reply from Nichola Read, Registered Manager at Critchill CourtThank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We're really pleased to hear that you find our staff helpful and caring, and that your father feels content here, that means a great deal to us.
We're sorry to hear about the issue with laundry getting muddled, and we understand how frustrating that can be. We'll make sure this is followed up with the team so we can improve consistency and ensure your father's clothing is returned correctly.
Thank you again for your comments, they help us continue to improve the service we provide. Please don't hesitate to speak with us directly if there is ever anything more we can do.
Kind Regards,

The staff are very caring and friendly. Entertainment is fair but more trips out in the summer would be a good thing however I do understand that this can be challenging due to transport and availability of staff. The home appears to be clean but some areas would benefit from a bit of a spruce up.
Lee is very kind and passionate about his residents.

I have been visiting Swan House since the start of 2025, and have been impressed by the interaction of the manager with the residents. It is often not known when I'm going to be visiting, but I always receive a welcome from the staff and the general atmosphere in the home is very positive.
I have attended
several of the events organised for the residents; these have been varied and staff have encouraged some of the more reticent of the residents to take part. The standard of catering has been amazing, and I have every reason to think this was not just for those events but is an indication of the day-to-day cuisine.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Swan House were I to have an elderly relative or friend requiring residential care.

The Croft Care Home

My mum has been at The Croft Care Home for a good few years now having been transferred from another care home which had closed down in the height of the Covid pandemic. Mum has advanced dementia and can be very difficult to manage at times. I have complete and utter trust in the care home and the wonderful
members of staff who work there. I am not always able to attend to my mum's needs due to having another member of the family being poorly. I take comfort in the fact that they love my mum as she would be loved for at home and they care for her in a way that I would care for her too. In my mum's own way I know that she is very comfortable and happy in her surroundings, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending The Croft Care Home to look after your loved one.

It is a difficult thing to make a decision to put your mum into care, but unfortunately sometimes necessary. The manager and staff are wonderful, understanding and attentive to mums needs and take great care in ensuring she is put first. They are an asset to the world of care and I sleep better knowing
my mum is now cared for and safe and my stepdad can rebuild his life and become a husband again not just a carer.

Although my Mum was sadly not a, resident of Sunnymeade for a very long period of time, she was really happy there, for which i am very grateful.
I cannot praise the staff at Sunnymeade enough. They were kind, caring and loving towards my Mum and she was very well looked after.
She particularly enjoyed
the varied activities in the lounge and the staff seemed to understand her cheeky sense of humour.
She had a lovely, light and airy room and her clothes were well cared for by the laundry service.
I cannot fault Sunnymeade at all and would certainly recommend it.
Thank you for the kind and sensitive care that my Mum received.

Many, many thanks to the wonderful team at Blenheim Care Home for making my mum so welcome. Mum has only very recently moved into the home so is still settling in, but the team have made such a big effort to welcome her & assist with the big change. They are also very supportive to myself & rest
of the family too, which is so important during such a difficult time. A big thank you to everyone, I'm afraid I don't know the name of everyone, but special mention & thank you to Kerry, Charlene, Mollie & Gina.

My mother is now 103 years old and sadly bedbound. However, she is well cared for. The review was 100% based on her needs and I can only say that she is well cared for and staff spend time chatting with her when able. I could not be happier with her care.
