I cannot recommend Chalgrove Edwardian Care Home highly enough. The level of care and support provided is truly exceptional. The staff are caring, compassionate, and always treat residents with dignity, kindness, and respect. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable, safe, and valued.
Chalgrove Edwardian is always clean, welcoming, and well maintained, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for both residents and visitors. Communication with families is excellent, and it is reassuring to know that loved ones are in such capable and dedicated hands.

Thank you to the entire team for your professionalism, compassion, and commitment. Your hard work is greatly appreciated, and I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for outstanding care.

I am very pleased to how my Nan was looked after during her time at the care home. The staff were great and always polite and certainly very supportive. I never had any concerns of my nans care in the times I had visited and the room was kept clean and tidy and respectful and never heard any complaints from Nan which had been a thing before arriving here.
The staff was very good at informing me with any issues such as health declines and when getting anyone else involved such as doctors. At the times I was unavailable to answer calls, voicemails was left which I appreciated a lot and helped keep any stress levels down.
Having access at different times of the day really was helpful and helped with access to seeing Nan after work or even before and never had any complaints from the staff about anything at all be it about us or Nan.

I can't thank them enough.

I am very happy with the care that my mum has received. The physical environment, lounge, dining area and room are very pleasing. It has a warm feel about the place. My mum loves sitting in the lovely garden when sunny. The activity staff are amazing as well as the nurses who all try to encourage my mum to take part.

My mum is now a resident at Chalgrove and has been for the last 6 weeks. Sadly after fracturing her hip twice and several hospital admissions mum's needs couldn't be managed at home any longer as she now needed 24 hour care. Mum has settled in really well and says she feels safe and happy at Chalgrove. All the staff are friendly, supportive to mum's needs and for us as a family it gives us a piece of mind she is being well looked after.

Dad moved into Chalgrove in September. Management and staff could not be more kind, caring and supportive to help a smooth transition from home. His room is light, airy and cosy. With the support, in particular, of the maintenance manager it was soon feeling homely and comfortable. Dad's medical and care needs are well looked after with sympathetic attention. Food is one of Dad's pleasures. The choice and variety is excellent with refreshments served throughout the day. The main enjoyment for Dad is sport. The maintenance manager went above and beyond to support us to transfer his sky package (this proved much more challenging than expected). The maintenance manager spent a lot of time assisting us with this, recognising how important it was in Dad's settling in process. We cannot thank him enough. As a family we are thankful that Dad's safety, health and well-being are in such good hands.

My mum has been living at the Edwardian side of Chalgrove Nursing and Care Home for some time now, and I can't thank the team enough for the care and compassion they've shown - not just to her, but to us as a family too.

She moved in following a series of strokes, and her needs have understandably become more complex over time. The staff have handled everything with a level of professionalism, kindness, and patience that has been so reassuring. From personal care to making sure she feels emotionally supported, they've made a real difference to her quality of life.

What I also want to acknowledge is how they've supported us as a family. Let's just say the family dynamic isn't always straightforward, but the team have always remained friendly, understanding, and helpful - never judging, always trying to do the right thing for Mum. That kind of empathy goes a long way and hasn't gone unnoticed. Would highly recommend

Wonderful and loving care for my mother for more than ten years almost to her 100th birthday. My review is about Edwardian building.
Special thanks to the manager and other members of the team. Also to another member of staff and her hard working colleagues. Thanks too to the activities team.

I visited almost every day and was treated as part of the Chalgrove family.

The care was very good, the carers and nurses were all very caring and considerate to my mother, she was very well. I know the home put on daily activities, the ones I knew about were always very good, but my mother did not attend activities on a daily basis, as she was bedridden most of the time. The staff did hoist my mother in and out of bed, but eventually she was to frail for that to happen unfortunately

Dreadful place. My stepmum was placed here further to being hospitalised Feb 2024. She had Alzheimer's and had lost the ability to walk, feed herself or communicate. My father chose a room on the ground floor but was persuaded to change to a room on the 1st floor as was told bigger room would allow them to get a hoist in so she could get to lounge/dining room. She never left the room once in the 3 months she was there! Her view was the side of a wardrobe. She had no care and her condition rapidly deteriorated. Always thirsty when we visited. Had to get SS involved to get her moved out before she died there. Moved to a great home in the end where she improved and was treated with dignity and respect.

Since our dad moved from hospital to Charlgrove Care he has gone from strength to strength, thanks to the wonderful team looking after him at Charlgrove. When dad left hospital, we thought he was at the end of his life, but with the care and support from Charlgrove dad is still with us and is doing better than any of us had hoped. The staff treat dad with care and respect and always keep us informed as to his well-being. Even though Charlgrove is a long way from where we live, having considered moving dad closer to us, we have decided that we could not guarantee the care he would receive elsewhere would be as good as it is here. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff for being so kind and looking after our wonderful dad so well.

All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Mum is happy and well cared for. Dad is made welcome and can stay for lunch with Mum, which is lovely to see that they can both still spend time together.

The front door is always opened with a welcoming greeting, and we leave knowing mum is receiving the best care. The care coordinator makes so much effort to entertain the residents, and it's great to see updates of their weekly entertainment on their website.
