My relative has been at Charlgrove for over 7 years. The staff are very caring and helpful at all times.

He is confined to bed but is included in the activities. He has recently been visited by an owl which he enjoyed.

My mum was placed into Chalgrove as an interim placement whilst a care package was out in place for her to return home. Within the three months this took, she was treated with much respect and care.
The staff even treated mum with a little gift ie puzzle book which was very thoughtful.
The work very hard and are very conscientious.

The home itself is a little dated but with the care received would make you overlook this. Mum was happy there and that was very important.

The staff (carers, nurses, admin staff) are always friendly, polite and helpful. They are knowledgeable of my mother's needs and are always patient.

My mother has been here for a couple of years now and her health and well being have improved massively. She enjoys the company and gets on well with the staff who always seem very caring and anxious to make her stay as comfortable as possible. All care homes are expensive nowadays and this no exception but I look back to the first few months when she just got better and better and younger each time I went there and there’s no price on that and in case you’re wondering she has more than kept up with that improvement

My husband and myself visit the home regularly, we have always found the staff to be very caring and friendly, our parents seem happy and contented and say they are well looked after they join in with the activities and socialise with other residents, if they are happy it makes us feel happy.

Some staff have been fantastic! Others, not so. I have found a couple of the 'higher ranking' staff to be stressed with me when trying to hold a conversation (asking questions about Dad's care). Auxillary/agency staff have always been lovely to my dad and myself/family.

The room is very small. Too hot, no TV.

Staff talk to my partner even though he cannot always respond. He likes company, so being in the lounge is important to us. Staff and management are always friendly. Activities are good and the one to one is excellent. Food is good and I am always offered a drink. As long as he is happy, I am happy.
