The patient is treated with dignity and care. The room is nice and warm. The nurses are caring and friendly. The patient is putting on weight and trying to verbalise despite the hospital declaring that the patient would remain mute. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

Fulford Care and Nursing Home

from Deborah S (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Both my parents were in Fulford care and nursing home, mum for over 2 years and dad for 18 months. Dad sadly passed away in January and mum is still there.
Now what can I say I am so blessed to have the most wonderful care home. From the day I walked in to have a look around I knew that this was a
home filled with love, kindness and a wonderful team. From the manager Sarah, supported in the office by Amy and Cath, Sharon and Chloe on reception. I would love to name everyone but you would be bored with my review. The team are made up of what I call my angels. Both my mum and dad had and have dementia which is a cruel disease. The residents have lots of activities which are fun for families to, singers, exercise classes, cooking the list is numerous run by the amazing Vicky and Sarah. A beautiful restaurant with great food choices. I am made to feel part of the Fulford family and kept totally up to date about my mum. When dad passed they were amazing. All I can say is thank you xxxxxxx
Reply from Amy Kruger, Clinical Deputy Manager at Fulford Care and Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. It truly means a great deal to our entire team. It was (is) a privilege for us to care for both your mum and dad, and we are grateful that you trusted us to support them during such an important time in their lives.

Your kind words about our team mean so much. Myself, Sarah, Cath, Sharon, Chloe, Vicky, and everyone here at Fulford Care & Nursing Home are incredibly dedicated to creating a warm, supportive, and compassionate environment for our residents and their families. Knowing that you felt welcomed, supported, and kept informed-especially during such a difficult time-means the world to us.

Thank you again for your beautiful words and for being such a valued part of the Fulford family. Please know that we will continue to be here to support both you and your mum in any way we can.

Kind regards,
The Fulford Care & Nursing Home Team

Swan House Care Home

from Maureen S (Friend of Resident) published on 17 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I went to see my friends mum at Swan House and I have to say what a wonderful experience that my partner and I had. The home was so clean and clean smelling The staff are so helpful and caring nothing is to much. There was an activity going on in the dining area but it was so nice to hear laughter
and so much fun being had by staff and residents such a lovely experience to hear. Staff would pop into us and make sure we was ok which just made us feel so comfortable like we was at home. The manager was so helpful at the start and showed us to my friends mum which surprised us that a manager would take an interest or that you would even see the manager. And even at the end of our visit the manger went out of his way again to make sure our visit went well. What a wonderful care home so well run it is credit to all that work there. If anyone is looking for a nice little care home for a family member Swan house is the place i highly recommend it.

My dad's quality of life has vastly improved since moving to Sunnymeade. He is extremely content, feels safe in his surroundings and with the staff and very much appreciates living here. Both myself and my sister can rest easy in the fact that our dad is being so well cared for. Thank you so much.

Gainsborough Care Home

from L P (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
After a very long spell in hospital my father's dementia was extreme and made him difficult to manage. He was discharged into the care of Gainsborough Care Home in Swanage. Despite him being violent, rude and troublesome they assured me they were happy to have him with them and that he would settle.
He did. He is now comfortable and content, looked after and safe in the last stages of this awful condition.
Every single member of staff is compassionate and shows great empathy to my father and all the residents. They are always smiling and happy which reflects in the residents. Nothing is too much for them. I often hear laughter between residents and staff in the corridors. They show true concern and care for me as well as my father. It has been a difficult journey for my father and our family and at last, with such wonderful care, we can visit dad knowing he is peaceful at last. Thank you.
Reply from Paul Beasley, Operations Manager at Gainsborough Care HomeThank you for your positive feedback. We are pleased that your father has been able to settle well at Gainsborough and that you have found the staff team compassionate and empathetic. I will be sure to pass on your feedback to the team, who will be delighted to hear this.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Initially, I arrived at Agincourt Care Home quite uncertain about the premises, patients and staff, however, my worst thoughts and fears were put aside quite quickly. I like to think I fitted in with everyone and everything quite quickly. My bedroom was very good and equipment and the facilities were
suitable for me, as a disabled lady permanently in a wheelchair. All day comprehensive menus and they had plenty to choose from. All staff were thoughtful, caring, helpful and practical. Nice to get on with and friendly.
Reply from Paul Beasley, Operations Manager at AgincourtThank you for such a great review. We are pleased you enjoy living at Agincourt and you have found the team to be thoughtful caring and helpful. I will be sure to pass on your feedback to the team, they will be delighted to receive this.

My relative has been satisfactorily accommodated within the care home, after the first few months of being there. She has been well cared for during her stay, which initially started as respite but has now become permament. And I am happy for this to continue. She seems well settled and is largely content.

We have always found the staff at Sunnymeade to be friendly, caring, and genuinely committed to the residents. They work long hours, yet they are consistently helpful and informative. The home itself is laid out nicely, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Since Mum has been at Sunnymeade,
we've seen a lot of building work taking place, which shows that Agincare are investing in improving the facilities. The home always looks clean and well cared for. The dining area is always laid out nicely too, which adds to the pleasant atmosphere.
Overall, we feel Mum is in good hands and well looked after.

We feel very grateful for Mum to have moved here. Mum was made to feel very welcome as soon as she arrived at reception. All the staff are extremely friendly and supportive. Everyone we met on that first day were exceptionally helpful and welcoming - whether it was the Management Team, Admin & Reception
Team, Care Team, Building Maintenance Team, Activities Team or Housekeeping Team. Mum's room was scrupulously clean and is very cosy, so she already feels "at home". On Mum's first evening, the Deputy Manager was extremely thoughtful as she kindly emailed a photo of Mum laughing. We can't tell you how appreciative we were and how reassuring that was knowing that Mum was happy. The empathic sensitivity of the staff we have met so far is very clear. This has helped enormously for enabling Mum to adapt seamlessly to her new surroundings. With huge thanks to everyone. .

The care home staff were truly amazing, treating my Mum with the respect and dignity she deserved and looking after her , even when ( towards the end if her life) she really should have been transferred for nursing care. Mum viewed the care home as her home and felt safe there. They also looked after
us during Mum's last week , when we were almost residents at the home ourselves and nothing was too much trouble for them.
We really felt Mum was surrounded by love.
