My friend had a fall resulting in a broken hip, following hospital discharge & time at another care home we managed to get her a place at Rodley. She did not get out of bed at the previous care home. But with encouragement she was able to get out of bed & into a wheel chair. This enabled her to mix with the other residents. As a result of this & the care & support given her mood & health improved greatly. Unfortunatly she had a stroke & was taken to hospital. She returned to Rodley and died peacefully in a home environment

At the beginning of 2026 my uncle had a number of falls, hospital stays and was no longer mobile. The hospital advised him to move to a care home. He was extremely fortunate to then become a resident at Henlow Court where, with their expertise, patience and kindness he has regained his mobility, confidence, and appetite. He is now happily speedy with his 4-wheeled walker and enjoying his love of gardening again, helping to grow tomatoes and tend to flowering plants in the garden. Love all the activities that go on there and residents seem very happy whenever I see them .

Both my parents have been at The Coombs for 12 months now. They are very well looked after and very settled . The home itself is homely and clean with lovely home cooked food. Residents have varied activities most days, visiting performers and go out on trips . When I have needed to raise small issues I have been listened to and they have been addressed quickly. More recently, The Coombs has a different care provider and new manager and it is being extremely well run. Staff are welcoming and appear relaxed and happy and there is just the best atmosphere amongst the residents. I particularly love the fact that everyone is mixed together and nobody is segregated . I thoroughly recommend The Coombs . All the staff are so kind to the residents and take fantastic care of them .

The new manageress has made some very good improvements in the care home. It is clean and pleasant, the grounds have been tidied and the rubbish removed. Any complaints or suggestions are listened to and acted upon promptly. Many of the problems have been solved and we are made to feel respected and listened to. The result is a happier place to be where it feels that you are being respected as a human being and your views are important. Keep up the improvements, and all will continue to improve.

Henlow Court.

My wife has been resident at the Coombs since the beginning of June and from the start has been very much at home, this in turn makes life better for me knowing that I have no concerns about her well being. I couldn't feel happier about our situation as the quality of our lifes has increased greatly.

During July my Aunty underwent an operation at GRH and staff at the Care Home (Rodley House) assisted her with all i.e. transport, personal care, medications, communications with family and aftercare after a swift turn around back after her operation - this no doubt created a positive result in her returning back to health. Thankyou to all at Rodley House a very good, kind, supportive care home,

I can't believe that I am actually able to be here . It's my safe place

My dad was in hospital after having a dvt. That led to his leg being amputated through the knee, he was catching infection after infections, I thought he might never leave hospital. The Coombs accepted him and he arrived a few weeks before xmas, he had very little and they got him some essentials for xmas and welcomed him. He was thier for 18 months under the best care.

We come to visit our friend Margaret and she is so happy here. It's lovely to see her settled. She is, eating well, which she wasn't before. She is clean and cared for very well. The staff are always friendly and kind I would highly recommend it here.

This Care home is absolutely amazing. All the staff are kind friendly caring happy and informative. Not living close by I can only visit on occassions but it is a great comfort to know that my mum is well cared for safe happy. They have a great social media group and are constantly entertained with days out music and make a huge effort every week to put several activites on. I cannot recomend Highly enough well done to all the staff

My husband came to Ashley in April this year. He had had a below the knee amputation. The staff including carers, cleaning ladies the Dr's & nurses who attend the residents are very caring, Always going the extra mile to make sure everyone is comfortable. There is always a smile to greet you when you visit.

Knowing that he is happy, engaged, and well cared for gives our whole family great peace of mind. We are so grateful to everyone at Henlow Court for the compassion, dedication, and genuine care they show every day. We would highly recommend Henlow Court to anyone looking for a caring and supportive home for a loved one.

There is such a warm welcoming atmosphere as you enter Paternoster House. All the staff know the residents by name and treat them with the greatest respect. The residents themselves care for one another and try to help by offering a kind word when possible. The activities on offer are varied and great encouragement is given to participate, whilst understanding that some people are happy to just look on. The meals always look appetising, well done to everyone at PN.

Would recommend Henlow to anyone looking for care for their loved ones

Since the company take over at Grevill House there have been a lot of improvements. Personally my father seem happier and more settled. There seems to be more staff, they also seem happier. The staff seem more attentive towards the residence. The cleanliness has also improved. I hope this continues to get better in future. The management team seem more motivated and driven.

My experience with Paternoster House has been extremely positive. The staff are consistently kind, compassionate and professional, always treating residents with dignity and respect. The home has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and it is clear that the team genuinely cares about the wellbeing and happiness of everyone living there.

Recently the has been issues with the lift in the home being out of service, this has caused issues for some residents but the staff and whole home has rallied around to support residents.

On occasions i have ate lunch with my friend and the food is always amazing!

Communication with families has been excellent, and we have always felt supported and reassured. The activities, cleanliness, and overall standard of care have all been impressive. Knowing our loved one is safe, comfortable and well looked after gives us real peace of mind.

I would happily recommend Paternoster House to anyone looking for a caring and supportive home for a family member.

My Mum has been a resident of Henlow Court since August 2025. She has settled very well. The carers are really good, the residents enjoy lots of entertainment from the staff and various visiting groups. Christmas was lovely lots of events on, and an amazing Christmas lunch was served. Mum has made lots of friends and enjoys a laugh with the staff. Visitors are made to feel welcome and the staff soon get to know them too.

So yes i would recommend Henlow Court its great!
