Review of Trafalgar Care Home from J C (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Dad has been a resident for almost 3 years now + the carers are second to none. Extra training was given to manage Dad's challenging behaviour when he first moved in which was amazing, other care homes may have said he had to leave. This kindness + compassion meant Dad had time to settle to the new home that his Dementia meant he did not always understand. Thank you so much to all of the carers.

I cannot recommend Chalgrove Edwardian Care Home highly enough. The level of care and support provided is truly exceptional. The staff are caring, compassionate, and always treat residents with dignity, kindness, and respect. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable, safe, and valued.
Chalgrove Edwardian is always clean, welcoming, and well maintained, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for both residents and visitors. Communication with families is excellent, and it is reassuring to know that loved ones are in such capable and dedicated hands.

Thank you to the entire team for your professionalism, compassion, and commitment. Your hard work is greatly appreciated, and I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for outstanding care.

All of the staff are lovely and very caring. They go above and beyond to help with anything. They take great care with my medication and make sure I am comfortable.
I have a peaceful room with a view of the garden.
I have made new friend and I feel at home.

It is hard to move into a care home, but the staff have made it easier for me. Catherine and all the staff are brilliant.

Review of Agincourt from D F (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Mum went to stay at Agincourt following a long period of difficulties with rapid onset dementia. From the moment she entered the door she settled ( which was a relief to both me and my sister). The staff are friendly and approachable and genuinely care about the residents. The management are equally friendly, efficient and very approachable. They listen and are supportive and open and honest which is highly valued by us. Mum can display some challenging behaviours and the staff are able to either soothe or distract her and also give humour to her when needed which can help diffuse the situation. The food is all homemade and delicious and the cakes look divine. There is a choice of main meals and breakfasts. Snacks are branded goods and alongside with fluids and fruit they are readily available at all times. Mum's room is not salubrious yet she is happy with her "flat" however it it's spotlessly clean with no smells as is the rest of the home which is very welcoming .

My dad has dementia and has been at Gainsborough for one year now. I visit regularly and have always found the staff at every level kind approachable and friendly. Everyone knows my dad and Dad feels very comfortable there.
I have peace of mind that Dad is safe and being looked after.

I have not rated value for money as I have nothing to compare it to.

Review of Chalgrove Care and Nursing Home from Charles K (Grandson of Resident) published on 1 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I am very pleased to how my Nan was looked after during her time at the care home. The staff were great and always polite and certainly very supportive. I never had any concerns of my nans care in the times I had visited and the room was kept clean and tidy and respectful and never heard any complaints from Nan which had been a thing before arriving here.
The staff was very good at informing me with any issues such as health declines and when getting anyone else involved such as doctors. At the times I was unavailable to answer calls, voicemails was left which I appreciated a lot and helped keep any stress levels down.
Having access at different times of the day really was helpful and helped with access to seeing Nan after work or even before and never had any complaints from the staff about anything at all be it about us or Nan.

I can't thank them enough.

Review of Blenheim Care Home from Charles B (Son of Resident) published on 18 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Blenheim Care Home is in a pleasant residential area with very attractive gardens that are kept well. The staff are always helpful, and it is small enough for them to get to know the residents well. It is managed well.
There is a very personal and caring atmosphere in the home, and both residents and visitors are made to feel they are in a normal home atmosphere as far as that can be achieved.

Safety measures are observed well, and a visiting GP gives regular and excellent medical support to the residents.

Review of Gainsborough Care Home from Richard H (Son of Resident) published on 30 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Dad has been with Gainsborough for approximately 6 years now, mum was with them until she passed in 2022.
Since then dad has been cared for and become well know by all of the staff and particularly by two or three members. It has very recently come to our attention that a member of staff purchased/ obtained a book relating to our family's history within motorcycle racing . Namely mums brother , dad's brother in law . This just does go to show how much you take in when listening to personal life stories of individuals, they are not just a body or resident, they are someone who you do care about.
Thank you

From Dad and Mum's family

Review of Blenheim Care Home from Robert M (Son-in-law of Resident) published on 23 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mother-in-law was really struggling at home. She was not eating properly and losing weight very quickly. She didn't remember to take her medication. Her neighbours found her wandering outside on a busy main road. Her dementia meant that she was hearing voices. The social services of our local council found her a respite care place in Blenheim Care Home. This has been a complete blessing. The manager telephoned me in advance and recorded all her details eg. Medication, likes and dislikes, how she liked to be addressed. It was very professional and very caring. She was welcomed warmly on her day of arrival and allocated a lovely room with a view of the garden. Everyone introduced themselves and gave us plenty of time to settle in. It was a very friendly atmosphere. I have visited a few times now and all the staff are approachable and knowledgeable. They come across as an exceptional and dedicated team. I feel very fortunate to have my mother-in-law here. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone.
