Gainsborough Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Dad has been with Gainsborough for approximately 6 years now, mum was with them until she passed in 2022.
Since then dad has been cared for and become well know by all of the staff and particularly by two or three members. It has very recently come to our attention that a member of staff purchased/
obtained a book relating to our family's history within motorcycle racing . Namely mums brother , dad's brother in law . This just does go to show how much you take in when listening to personal life stories of individuals, they are not just a body or resident, they are someone who you do care about.
Thank you
From Dad and Mum's family
Reply from Paul Beasley, Operations Manager at Gainsborough Care HomeThank you for you kind feedback. I am pleased to see the impact the book has made to your father and how our teams are supporting our residents in such a person-centred way. I will be sure to pass your feedback to the team.

My dad has been here for a few weeks and is really enjoying it, and already been out on a trishaw ride to maiden castle. The staff are all so happy, friendly and fun.
We are always made to feel very welcome and provided with drinks and snacks and always invited to stay for meals.
It's been new for
us all but seeing dad so happy and enjoying the company is amazing. We can even take his dog in to visit.

Mum has only recently moved in, and from the first day we went in the home has felt warm, welcoming and professionally run.
The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Meals professionally cooked and smell lovely, it's great to know mum has her appetite coming back.
I know how hard all
the staff work but it feels very calm and relaxed and family are welcome anytime.
Highly recommend Blenheim Care Home.

It's early days but she really seems to be settling in and that's down to the staff and their
care.

My mother-in-law was really struggling at home. She was not eating properly and losing weight very quickly. She didn't remember to take her medication. Her neighbours found her wandering outside on a busy main road. Her dementia meant that she was hearing voices. The social services of our local council
found her a respite care place in Blenheim Care Home. This has been a complete blessing. The manager telephoned me in advance and recorded all her details eg. Medication, likes and dislikes, how she liked to be addressed. It was very professional and very caring. She was welcomed warmly on her day of arrival and allocated a lovely room with a view of the garden. Everyone introduced themselves and gave us plenty of time to settle in. It was a very friendly atmosphere. I have visited a few times now and all the staff are approachable and knowledgeable. They come across as an exceptional and dedicated team. I feel very fortunate to have my mother-in-law here. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone.

I'm so frustrated as I was trying to speak to my mothers in-law today, I rang at 10.15 am to start with when nobody answered the phone just rang & rang then cut off.
I rang again at 10.30am when a lady answered and said she would transfer me it rang for about six rings then cut off, I rang straight
back
and once again the lady answered and said she would go and look for the phone but never came back to me.
I rang another six times and every time it cut off.
I eventually got to speak to my mother's in-law in 4.30 pm . I always try to ring in the morning as I know because she suffers with Demantia she gets tired by the afternoon.
All together it took ten phone calls before I got to speak with her, really disappointing!

Gainsborough Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
After a very long spell in hospital my father's dementia was extreme and made him difficult to manage. He was discharged into the care of Gainsborough Care Home in Swanage. Despite him being violent, rude and troublesome they assured me they were happy to have him with them and that he would settle.
He did. He is now comfortable and content, looked after and safe in the last stages of this awful condition.
Every single member of staff is compassionate and shows great empathy to my father and all the residents. They are always smiling and happy which reflects in the residents. Nothing is too much for them. I often hear laughter between residents and staff in the corridors. They show true concern and care for me as well as my father. It has been a difficult journey for my father and our family and at last, with such wonderful care, we can visit dad knowing he is peaceful at last. Thank you.

Initially, I arrived at Agincourt Care Home quite uncertain about the premises, patients and staff, however, my worst thoughts and fears were put aside quite quickly. I like to think I fitted in with everyone and everything quite quickly. My bedroom was very good and equipment and the facilities were
suitable for me, as a disabled lady permanently in a wheelchair. All day comprehensive menus and they had plenty to choose from. All staff were thoughtful, caring, helpful and practical. Nice to get on with and friendly.

Naseby Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My grandfather moved to Naseby care home in December 2025. He had previously been having care at home for a number of years provided by me. But it was becoming too much to manage with his increasing care needs, and following a fall where he broke his back, he needed care 24/7. From the first look round
to him living in was so great. Really compassionate care staff who take great interest in my grandfathers care and wellbeing but also ours. They are so quick to address any medical concerns, and respect his wishes. The adjustment for both my grandad and my life has been so smooth with lots of reassurance to both of us. Having my grandad round the corner to my home has made my life so much easier, and having no restrictions for visiting makes it very convenient. On the days I can't visit, they always take the phone to him so I can talk to him to check in. Thank you Naseby care home for making us all feel welcome and part of a family.

My mum is now a resident at Chalgrove and has been for the last 6 weeks. Sadly after fracturing her hip twice and several hospital admissions mum's needs couldn't be managed at home any longer as she now needed 24 hour care. Mum has settled in really well and says she feels safe and happy at Chalgrove.
All the staff are friendly, supportive to mum's needs and for us as a family it gives us a piece of mind she is being well looked after.

Mum spent the last fifteen months of her life in the Bosworth Care Home. This is a real home which is spotlessly clean, comfortable, homely and welcoming to all visitors. She enjoyed chatting to other residents and staff and watching the " comings and goings" of each day. She loved her room, the food
and the varied daily activities. Trycycle rides, the singer and bingo being her favourite ones. Our family was always kept up to date with mum's care needs. We are hugely grateful to the kind, patient, respectful and helpful staff who work there. They made mum's final chapter such a happy one. Thank you.
