It is a pleasure to visit Beaufort House with its warm and friendly atmosphere and elegant architecture. One has the feeling that nothing is too much trouble and attention to detail makes for a calm and happy environment. My cousin has been a resident for nearly a year: his beautiful room and kindness of the staff helped him to settle instantly and since his arrival he has taken on a new lease of life. He enjoys the food and beverages, the musical entertainment, the in-house activities, the outings, the companionship, the any-time visits from his family and friends, and the kind welcome they receive, the parties and the fun! Even though members of staff are incredibly busy, they work with cheerfulness and a good sense of humour. Beaufort House is a care home with a capital C.

My husband seems quite well. His clothing not so good. On arrival in Sunnymeade, he had a lot of clothes since then he has often not had socks or shoes on his feet. (Necessary while being diabetic). He often has no slippers in his room and his sandals are long gone. His personal care often needs attention, and he has at times needed a good wash or shower. My daughter and granddaughter have found him in a grubby and smelly state - lack of a shower. He is fed well and seems to enjoy the food.

The home is clean and renders a good service with best practices.I observed that the service user are supported in a person centered care basis and allowed to make their own choices the home supports the service users in such a way and in all necessary ways to make them live a normal life. The relationship with service users family is superb also.

My mum has thrived since moving in. She is happy and has made friends. The food is good and the care is amazing. All the carers have a smile and get to know individuals. The management always sort out any issues effectively.

I cannot fault them. My mother has only been here a short time and in that times I have been very impressed with the kindness the staff have given my mother. She has had to have a ambulance called twice while being here, and both times the staff have kept me informed every step of the way. I walk away knowing that I don't need to worry about mum, which means a lot, she's having the care that she needs.

When first moved into Sunnymeade my husband was very weak and needed help to do most anything after being in hospital quite a while. Family and myself pleased to see him now doing so, though a little messy. I am pleased to see him looking well, and tidy on the whole, though he is now needing a frame to walk with. The staff are friendly and helpful, though are busy, and the meals seem good.

Very pleased with care overall. We have had a few issues with falls etc but I have always been informed of the incident. All staff have been good from what I have seen. Some however have been fantastic. Shannon in particular has built up a great relationship and deserves recognition.

Doug was clearly well cared for and was comfortable and happy at Sunnymeade. I am very grateful to them all for everything they did for Doug and the support and respect they showed to me along the way.

Both my mother and my step father, were really struggling at home, even with carers TDS, they were under under weight, both looked un kept, mum had pressure sores on her sacrum, they had become withdrawn and were really unable to cope with living at home and together, when we visited them at home, Gordon would not speak to us, he just sat a cried, mum just kept on repeating that she was depressed, she sat by a window, and had not left the house for a year. When we visited them in Beaufort house care home a couple of weeks ago, we were so impressed, Gordon looked relaxed and we could see that he had definitely put weight on, we had good conversations with him and mum, mum had also put weight on and looked really well, she also was able to hold a good conversation, they both said that they had been out on several trips and lunches out to the Garden centre, they were unable to get out at home, due to mums mobility and Gordon getting lost several times.

I have found all the staff at Sunnymeade take care to look after residents with care and attention to individual needs. They have kept me informed regularly and make time if I need to discuss anything. The GP who attends Sunnymeade takes care to keep me informed and is readily available if I need to talk.

My dad's quality of life has vastly improved since moving to Sunnymeade. He is extremely content, feels safe in his surroundings and with the staff and very much appreciates living here. Both myself and my sister can rest easy in the fact that our dad is being so well cared for. Thank you so much.

Overall, we feel Mum is in good hands and well looked after.

All the care staff were kind, friendly, patient and nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble. The staff were all welcoming. They always appeared to deal with mum exactly the way she wanted. Mum didn't want to partake in very many of the activities as she was a private person but that did not matter. The only fault I can find is that she was bothered by other residents entering her room sometimes at night, being those who sadly did not know where they were. Mum could have locked herself in her room but that wasn't something she or I wanted to happen

Generally find the staff helpful and caring. My father appears to be content. The only minor issue is the laundry, although clearly marked with his name clothes get muddled!

I chose Critchill a year ago for my wife - definitely the right choice. The place has a happy, friendly personality from lovely staff plus good food, good care and very clean. My wife is well looked after (as I see each day) and she likes to wander out into the pretty garden.

Nan has improved both physically (now walking compared to when she arrived) & mentally with her alzheimers. She loves all the different activities & outings available. Thank you for all your care.
