Lovely old building & grounds kept in good condition. All staff, admin & carers very welcoming & helpful. I doubt if the building is capable of providin more quiet areas, but the carers cheerfull move a resident to help. Occasional meals I have had were fine and the kitchen staff very good
Parking
is easy.

A beautiful + spacious environment with extensive + well-kept gardens, which is made very welcoming by the excellent team of dedicated staff. All aspects of care are carefully considered in order to make the homelife of the resident very acceptable. Both the physical and emotional comfort is adressed
in an empathic and comprehensive manner which is delivered in a consistent and practical way - after taking the residents wishes into account. Attention to diet + wellbeing are all well catered for and health issues are dealt with promptly and with the appropriate interventions from G.P., if required, in a timely way. I highly recommend Beaufort House.

The home and staff are very caring unfortunately there are not enough of them for a rapid response. A most notable thing here is you cannot smell urine, wonderful. In all the home I've been in that was a noticable aroma!

Thank you for your feedback, we have a fantastic team who care deeply about all residents and their loved ones. Our emergency response times are exceptional and we are fully staffed at all times. Unfortunately, there are occasions where individuals have a slightly longer wait time due to staff attending other calls. At Beaufort the whole team strives to provide a warm, clean and friendly environment and we really appreciate your comments.

My husband and I visited my aunt on 17th March and whilst sitting chatting to her in the dining room, she started gasping for breath. I alerted Beaufort staff, who were absolutely amazing, managing to bring my aunt round. An ambulance was called immediately and while we were waiting the Beaufort staff
were so caring towards my aunt, whom they put into the recovery position on advice. The paramedics were excellent and my aunt was now asleep in a wheelchair. The Beaufort staff were so attentive throughout and were advised that a GP would visit. My aunt was then moved to another lounge and made very comfortable, whilst being monitored. We visited the next morning to find my aunt much recovered and I cannot thank the Beaufort staff enough for all their care and compassion, not only throughout this emergency but everyday.

Our team are always here to provide the care, attention, and support needed in any situation, and we are thrilled to hear that your aunt made a full recovery. Thank you for trusting us with your aunt's care - we truly value the opportunity to look after her.

Since my partner and I decided her father was not receiving adequate care at a previous care home, we decided to try Beaufort House due to local word-of-mouth recommendations and a coincidental mail shot from Agincare.
We are so lucky to have found this absolute gem of a care home that treats my partner's
father with enormous respect and always encourages him to join in with the activities. He has mild dementia and is not always keen to leave the safety of his room, but when he does do so, he is noted as the life and soul of the party. Contrast this with his last care home where he was left in his room 24/7 with little or no interaction with others as well as eating all his (unappetising) meals in his room. Beaufort House has a lovely communal dining area where residents are encouraged to sit with each other to share their meals. There are several rooms to relax in each with its own facilities such as TV or craft tables.

The staff were very kind and supportive when my mother was on end-of-life care. They were very professional and caring through what was a difficult time. Prior to that, last week, the staff always seemed kind and caring towards the residents.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review in what must be an upsetting time for you. We are so glad that you found the care and support given to your mother was both professional and caring at a time when it is so very important.

Current Review Score: 7.7 (7.663)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.7 (7.663) out of 10 for Beaufort Park Retirement Village is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 3.800 for Beaufort Park Retirement Village is calculated as follows: ( (24 Excellents x 5) + (18 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) + (8 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 3.8
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.863 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beaufort Park Retirement Village is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 41 registered maximum number of service users is 8.2. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 8.2 = 0.488
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
